  1. I have a Apexi 1.0bar actuator (off an AX53B60 kit) and it runs ~14psi.
  2. I agree Darren. Clint, give Shaun a call and see what he thinks. Had a quick peek under your bonnet on Sunday Darren, that motor is a total 'sleeper', the engine bay looks stock as
  3. Thanks guys No I wasn't wearing a dress Will, just leather pants and a fishnet vest I had a good look through but I couldn't find Stacey in Issue 4, she may have been in an earlier issue, or the next one. Dave Lee (Leewah) is also in the "TOUGHSTREET" section. My efforts pale in comparision to Dave's! 10.47 @ 140mph EDIT: - Only too happy to help out Matty. Yeah mate number plates are blanked out So how did you go re g'box fix?
  4. Just thought I have a bit of a brag session Thanks to Carol Varga from Fullboost, I made the "TOUGHSTREET" section of DRAGS MAGAZINE Issue 4. It's only a little 1/4 page pic and blurb, but I'm still happy to see it in print All the figures (RWKW, ET and MPH) in the info blurb have now been superseeded too! The mod info is a touch incorrect but that's mainly due to me not getting my arse into gear and detailing everything for Carol
  5. The mod situation has been explained (thanks Christian - Prank). It was a simple case of not reading a post for ALL mods in the appropriate section. I "should" be resuming my mod duties shortly
  6. It appears that we (the SA section of SAU) are without moderators ??? I guess Joel and myself weren't doing a very good job Apologies to all if that is/was the case.
  7. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/helicopter.shtml Best - 1109 Worst - 19
  8. I thought the might give it away, I've been wearing the blue uniform for almost 16yrs - I was just winding you up So from your statement above I take it that you've been selected to attempt pilots course? Very high failure rate. Best of luck, I hope you make it.
  9. Why the hell would you want to do that!? Crazy move if you ask me. Damn RAAFies
  10. A mate has a AX53B60 on a Pulsar GTi-R - bloody awesome little turbo! Super responsive 'and' a solid top end. Full boost at 3000rpm.
  11. Ahhh... I wasn't actually being serious about the girl the the Kicker top
  12. I'd like to see a combo of the two games - little drunk coloured men
  13. I think the average age was.... hmmm, oh about 30 - just perfect for me! The short blonde with the yellow "Kicker" top was 38 but I'd still consider dating her, as she was a very interesting conversationalist.
  14. The USA dynos factor a much lower drivetrain loss than our Aussie dynos. As a rough example (ie using totally bogus figures) ... Australia: 250fwhp ='s 170rwhp - results in a 14.5 @ 100mph 1/4 USA: 250fwhp ='s 220rwhp - results in a 14.5 @ 100mph 1/4 It doesn't matter as long as your comparing apples to apples (ie US dyno figure vs other US dyno fig's). Compare Aussie fig's and US fig's and it won't add up. My car makes ~470rwhp on a US dyno, woo hoo!
  15. That's what 4WD is for isn't it? Off-roadin' I have vid footage of a mate in his immaculate 550hp (Tomei cams, N1 this, Apexi that) '97 GT-R V Spec, it's covered in dust after fanging around on shitty dirt roads in Victoria somewhere. When I say covered in dust, I mean like a 4WD after it's done a LOT of off-roading! He took the vid just to shock me! I don't like to see dirty Skylines
  16. The list I linked you to ( http://skylines.pnc.com.au/drags.html ) actually tells you the model of Skyline (ie R32 GT-R, R33 GTS25t etc.) so if you know your Skylines you'll be able to figure out if it's RWD or AWD. AFAIK not one of the entries on that list uses RWD only if they have AWD and nor do any of the RWD guys have AWD transplants. If your not sure what model Skyline came with AWD then do a search. As for rw/awkw levels, most of the entries on the list have this info in there sig's or listed under their profiles somewhere - try a search and see how you go. All the info your seeking is already on this forum in one way or another. It may take a bit of a search but you'll find it. Have fun
  17. Yep, good call Brett.
  18. I believe that my car/I hold the number two spot for an LT12 install. My car and Lachlans were done back to back - sort of like sister cars AFAIK.
  19. Go have a look here - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=38247
  20. I thought the "quality" at Autosalon was just fine. Cars? What cars? I must've missed them
  21. I dunno' Dunc, 4WD might be handy for a bit of off-road work - Ya know, so hes can do pig shootin' n'at 500hp GT-R + spotties + lift kit ='s huntin' time! Yeeeehar
  22. The basic rule of thumb is, every tenth gained over the 60' is two tenths off the ET. So as a random example... say someone was to run a 12.357 ET on a 2.119 60', and then they managed to drop their 60' to a 1.900, they "should" get an 11.919 ET. And then they would be very happy Are there? Who?
  23. Yep I understand and agree mate - re fixing any fundamental issues first. The crux of the issue is the fact that it won't accept any additional timing above the stock 15' without detonating. Without a "little" extra timing it's hard to make reasonable power gains Look at the Japanese, they use very rich A/FR's and HEAPS of additional timing! This gives a nice piston cooling mixture (drift and drag friendly) plus sharp throttle response (very drift friendly). So why won't it take extra timing??? Hmmm... the timing belt idea is interesting, what did Shaun say about it? I still think it might be worth filling the tank with BP Ultimate and putting it back on the dyno, then just advance the timing slightly and see if it still wants to ping. Fuel "can" make a huge difference. The tiny plug gap wouldn't be helping power either Weak spark due to a poor igniter perhaps? A dodgy coil or 2?
  24. R33fourdoor, Hey mate, I got your PM, will reply to it when I have a bit more time. I know the reasons you use Vortex (work Caltex fuel card) but have you considered getting Shaun to do a map for Vortex 95RON and another map for 98RON? If you have a Microtech handset (~$160-$200AUD new) then you can actually store 4 completely different maps in it. You can then switch between maps in a matter of 10-20sec. As for the misfire issue, hmmm it's got me puzzled. I run 20+psi, same ECU, stock coils, plugs gapped to 0.8mm and I rarely have misfires unless it's really cold and the plugs are a touch fouled up. Once the plug temp comes up it doesn't misfire at all. What heat range plugs did Shaun use?
