  1. Good stuff Andy! I'll get typing my gripe email shortly then Thanks for the info skipppy.
  2. Erica, More likely to be 50 (or even less) people private. I was chatting to Ivan again earlier today & he didn't make any mention of advertising beyond our forum groups + a few of his regular customers. Good onya' Chris. That's the spirit

  4. Trust me mate, you didn't miss much. Sorry about the edit in your post above! I had a slight moderator technical difficulty - I f@#ked up.
  5. Good stuff people - glad to see you're all keen After the 05Apr street meet it easy to see why! Matt, Thanks mate - for both the assistance on the AIR day & the kind words after my sad effort at the street meet Clint, The shift light is a unit made by Pivot (Jap brand name) See here - & here - http://www.autospeed.com/shop/category_176...761/browse.html It's designed as a cigarette lighter plug-in but I cut the plug off & hard wired it in. Works well, especially when you hit the limiter under w/spin! Oh yeah, it's red in the pic/ad but mine came with a blue lens!
  6. Gotta' love those 60ft's mate. Glad to see the night wasn't a waste for you at least! Congrats on the time/speed.

  8. I'm going to wipe all traces from my memory that I even entered the 05Apr03 Off-Street Meet 1 run in 5hrs - only to have huge w/spin & miss 2nd gear Congrats John - doesn't make up for my shitty night though
  9. MattR, I'd have been stoked to get 3 runs in I had a grand total of 1 single solitary shitty f*#ked up run from 6pm till 11pm. $50 to wait 2.5-3hrs only to be told - "go home it's over". Don't get me wrong, I understand that the sheer number of cars was the cause, but SURELY they could've altered the nights schedule to accomodate the unusually large number of entries!? It wasn't until I suggested they start using ALL the line up lanes to stop cars blocking access that they did something about it! 16.3 @ 110+mph w/spin to buggery & missed 2nd gear - F@$K IT! OK I've calmed down now........... Right back to topic - I'll start a new thread purely for everyone to register their intention to run. If you're keen then post in the new thread. I know it'll depend on date & time etc.. but if you're keen give me your "yes" & then when we have numbers we'll go from there Cheers ALL, Matt
  10. Hope it's a tad cooler than last time! Sunscreen, sweat & dust - I looked like I was cammed up ready to go into Iraq!
  11. Passengers - dunno'? I guess that's up to the AIR staff/safety people - maybe even ANDRA? The rain possibly was already raised with Ivan, yep it's a concern! We may have to make it a sliding schedule in case of bad weather. hippy, I would expect you could be "pit crew" for someone Whoring my own thread here - Just watched "Getaway in Stockholm 1 & 2" for the first time - AWESOME!
  12. No dates confirmed yet Erica. I'll chat with Ivan on Sat' or early next wk & see if we can organised a date. We need to confirm the track is still going to be able to be used in mid May?
  13. I mentioned you guys (SA LS1.com members) to Ivan & he was happy to include you all. We (SASA) wouldn't have the numbers on our own anyway. I hadn't posted anything on LS1.com yet as I wanted feedback from here first. Seeing as things are going a tad slow in here you may as well post it up Matt I remember last yr when we tried to get this sort of thing happening we had quite a few interested. This time round I can confirm 100% this is going to go ahead! Unless something out of our control stops it? Track offline for upgrades etc... Cheers dude.
  14. Ivan from RPM Performance Centre is planning to hire Adelaide International Raceway for a private test & tune drag day, most likely in mid May. I spoke with Ivan yesterday (03Apr03) & he is 100% keen. This event WILL go ahead He intends on having prizes/trophies up for grabs! The exact format is yet to be decided but we will ensure that EVERYONE has a chance to win i.e it won't be fastest car wins everything. The number of cars is yet to be decided but it will need to be enough to cover hiring costs, yet not too many that we all don't have plenty of runs each. 40-50 perhaps? We (SkylinesAustralia SA guys/girls) are the first to be invited (via this thread) but I'm suggesting we included the LS1 guys & possible a limited number of other friendly outsiders So people let me know if you're keen & we can get started on organising & figuring out exact details. As a rough guide I expect entry to be ~$80 (normal AIR street meet $50) The date will be sometime in May, most likely mid. It will be either a 1/2 or full day session! Feedback (from all of you) on this event is welcomed No crowds. Friendly faces. Plently of runs to practice techniques. Prizes & trophies. Good time to have a get together & BBQ too! I'll start the ball rolling - I'M IN! Edit: forgot to add - Ivan is intending to have the track prepped too (VHT).
  15. Abalonie company owner ='s shite loads of $$$ About the only things he'd be worried about is the DUI & his bruised ego. My old man owns a pro game fishing business (& a crayfishing licence) plenty of $$$ in the pro fishing game - IF you're in charge. Wouldn't mind the brakes off the F360 if they're going cheap?
  16. Steve, On the street my RE540S's (once warm) are bloody awesome. Put it this way, after fitting them the new grip levels helped my clutch die very quickly. Previously my 255 Falkens had taken the brunt through w/spin. New grip levels & minimal w/spin meant it was the clutches turn to cop it! On the strip I've yet to make the most of them. Clutch slip & failure to heat them (no burnout) are the reasons.
  17. Baahh who cares how many rwkw's people can get from stock ECU, turbo & intercooler - I wanna' know if anyone can beat my 13.0 @ 113 with the stock "CLUTCH" hehehe
  18. Gates open - 4pm Racing starts - 5pm Racing finishes - ~10-10.30pm Entry fee to compete - $50 Spectators - $17 Don't forget to have - helmet, long sleeve top & pants, licence, pen to fill out entry form, oh & don't forget to bring your car
  19. That's SA rego! It wouldn't have anything to do with the owner of City Parts Dismantlers here in Adelaide? There ain't many F360's in Adelaide & I know the CPD owner has one.
  20. Thought I'd drop in & say g'day to you guys/girls from my old home state Born - Hobart First 16yrs - Sheffield ("Town of murals") From reading the other threads in the Tassie section it seems the Import scene is slowly growing in Hobart, Devonport & Launie. Good to see I tried in vain to get my old man to see the light (he's gone from RS Liberty - 94 WRX - 97 Club Spec WRX - White 2dr STI) but all to no avail So what's the off-street drag scene like down there? From memory there's a drag strip up north? I'm guessing it's mostly old school V8's with a total lack of respect for Japanese turbo's? My wife & I (with new bub in tow) are heading down to visit my oldies in Sept' (they live in Eagle Hawk Neck & Primrose Sands respectively) so if I see any of you out & about I'll be sure to say g'day We're taking the boat & driving (3rd time in 6yrs) so it should be fun. Cheers, Matt
  21. If the wiring from the relay connects to your external f/pump then that's what it'd be for. What's the small problem with your R?
  22. Sounds like the inspectors were on a power trip I'd love to drag one of their own cars in & give it a once over It'd probably fail without even looking all that hard.
  23. The reservoir (storage tank) holds the hydraulic fluid for the ATTESA 4WD system rear diff, & the blue thing is a relay.
