  4. I used to be an adventurer until I took an arrow in the knee. So I started driving a skyline and Dan and Sean at ERD/EFI did such good work for me that my knee wound is fixed and I'm back to slaying dragons!
  5. Heya, sorry about the delay getting back to you. All the exec positions are staffed by volunteers. Occasionally we have external commitments that interfere with club stuff. I'm in the middle of my final exams for the semester right now and haven't had much time for club stuff. I have received your payment and confirmation has been passed on to our secretary team for completion. Hopefully we will see you at the next event, our happy laps/AGM on this weekend at Lakeside Raceway. Details can be found here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/402036-sau-qld-happy-laps-and-agm-june-17th/page__pid__6396232#entry6396232 and here: http://www.sauqld.com/ipb/index.php?showtopic=3444

    Sauqld Reply?

Your payment has been received mate. I got confirmation from Westpac on the 11th. I'll check with Tim and find out what's up but I'd wager it being nothing more than a lack of free time. the exec team do this for free in our free time so work, family etc sometimes come first at the expense of club commitments.
  9. The joys of the RB. They aren't known for good fuel economy. I get 350ish a tank as do most people I know.
  10. Good to hear mate when's the new job start? Also, scrackin mangs?
  11. Spectators can pay on the day.
  12. But 99% of my posts come from an iPhone. The remainder come from my iMac...
  13. This is on tomorrow morning. Hope to see some V-series there
  14. Didn't mention mangs, what she said, Ikes cremé or the like. Can't be us.
  15. Car is back! Yay! Battery and alternator don't seem to work properly. Boo! Smash repair shop says if problem persists they will replace both and bill JCI. Yay! Boot has apparently sprung a leak. Boo! Gumbyment is prepared to give me money for the first time ever as I'm a proper poor student now. Yay! It appears to be coming from the hip pockets of people who I think pay too much tax.Boo! So yeah, that's my day in a nut shell. At the gym now. Work later.
  16. That the one from news.com.au? It factors in expected cost of living increases as well.
  17. If any Qld based V-series guys are keen to come along the Qld club is hosting a dyno day next week. It's a nice cheap way to see where your car is at performance wise, a great chance to talk to some of the best mechanics in town and a great social experience as well! We'd love to see more V-series cars at our events, i'm sure there are plenty of cars that could put some of the hair dryer powered machines that make up a lot of the club to shame! Details in the thread below. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/398527-sau-qld-dyno-day-sat-may-12th/ Hope to see some of you out there!
  18. Surely there are more people out there interested in this?
  19. No car yet but it must be actually done (or so close it doesn't matter) as Just Car contacted me to pay the excess. Once the payment clears I'm hoping she'll be back in my hands On the topic of spark plugs, I gapped down to 0.8mm on my last spark plug change (about 10,000km ago, they are due for another change soon) and it helped no end. Once I get my baby back she'll be getting an oil change and new plugs straight up, i actually have a bit of space to work on her now, just need to actually buy some axel stands and a jack
  20. I'd take water over flipping and fire any day of the week. Unless you have a VERY difficult car to get out of I'd say your chances of survival are higher in a splashdown, more time to react. Both are terrifying situations however. Upside down, on fire and in the water however... The one that always has me on edge even watching are the crazy cliff drops on the outside of many European Tarmac rally's or events like Pikes Peak. That's a damn long way to fall with nothing but skill stopping you going over.
  21. Pffft. I'll borrow my folks CR-V and see how an SUV handles QR
  22. Now I need a new BBQ lackey
