Who wants to *ahem* sell me a copy of Windows 7 and Office 2010? Uni needs me to use an add-on to Excel that doesn't play nice with the Mac versions. I'll either have to do battle with the hordes to try and secure a computer to do my course work each week or dual boot my iMac.

I shopped around when I recently renewed my insurance but I only tried the usual suspects (Just Car, Suncorp and Shannon's) ill have to look into some of the other big name companies beyond NRMA as well. Maybe the insurance world is getting a little more accepting of imports.

It's $800 total for theft. I'm guessing it just has to be the GT-R then. I'll definitely have a look at NRMA when my policy is up for renewal next year however. I didn't know they covered gray imports, they didn't when I first looked at insurance a while back.

I just pulled my policy out to have a look. I have a $500 standard excess and an $800 total excess for theft. They do seem to charge more for theft (makes sense I guess seeing how popular a target imports are) but it's still nowhere near your level. Maybe it's just where you live and the GT-R badge.

It really depends on a lot of things. I'm now paying $900 a year with a $500 excess with Just Car for $19k agreed value and all of my mods are covered. The joys of never having made an at fault claim since I got my license I guess

Ok mangs, for those that either have or are currently studying at UQ, where's the best parking? I start at 8am Monday and Tuesday so I'll be getting to campus around 7:30. Is there any all day casual parking that is also undercover?

The logic of some people just makes me scratch my head in disbelief. My housemate, who currently has no job and even when he was working was constantly broke, just received a couple of thousand in back pay from his last gig as a DJ. Instead of, oh I don't know say paying rent and bills with it seeing as he has no idea where his next paycheck is coming from, is currently off shopping for a new laptop as the one he currently uses is too slow for him... *goes off to beat head against a wall* god damn am I glad I'm moving out in 6 weeks.

I miss holiday pay. When I was running pubs for Coles I ended up with nearly 3 months leave once I left I took 4 weeks holiday each year but most of them were time in lieu rather than holiday pay.

New living arrangements all sorted. I was going to move into the place at Moorooka but god was all "Nah bro, move in with the hotties!" so I was all like "But it's too far away from work, not airconditioned and I don't get my own bathroom!" so god was all "Nah bro! You should totally do it!" and then he made it so my choices were removed from me. God, you are a twisted son of a bitch but I love you
