My #1 whisky to somehow try obtain is the 1984 Yamazaki. A close second is any of the other Yamazaki 25's but the '84 is meant to be THE shit.

The 25 YO Sherry shits on the 30 Fine Oak IMO. Not saying the 30 was bad (it's brilliant, too good for my palette in all honesty) just that the 25 sherry was much more to my taste. The fine oak had a bit too much sweetness to it for me and was a bit light. I like my whisky with a bigger body and stronger flavours. That said I have only ever had one dram of the 25 sherry for comparison...

On the topic of beer, saw a beer on the menu at the Regatta last night called Super Bock. Now I LOVE Bock's, particularly dopple and tripplebocks. Was super excited that the Regatta might have another black beer besides Dog Bolter. Wow was I let down, it was NOT a Bock but some weak, watery generic euro crap. Almost as bad as Amstel. Made me cry.

Worth talking to the guys at Cru and the Wine Emporium as well. They have surprisingly good whisky and rum collections at reasonable prices. Wine Emporium will even help you hunt down really rare shit.

As for Tap King, gimmicky idea that has been well marketed this time around. Didn't work so well when they tried it with Heineken a few years back. If you want REAL tap beer in your home you should go talk to these guys http://www.brewsbrothers.com.au/ When I had more time on my hands (and a housemate who loved to drink as much as I did) we did bottled beer with them. $150-$180 for roughly 6 1/2 to 7 cases of whatever style of beer you wanted.

Such an important step. You will be stunned by the amount of crap a clay bar pulls off of your paint. Sap, grime, hard water marks etc. Makes such a difference. If you don't clay all you are doing when you wax is sealing the bonded contaminants to your paint, not a good thing.

Car is shiny. And I mean SHINY. Washed, clayed, washed and two coats of wax all over and three on the roof/boot.

Damn straight. I'm at the point where I am being considered for real jobs Had a few interviews this year for serious roles. Have obviously not quite been good enough but I am a bees dick off.

I miss golf the most. I was at the range 3-4 times a week. Went from brand new to playing in the mid-high 80's in under a year.

A holdover from my old pre-student days when I could afford good stuff. One more year. One more year. Had to cut all my hobbies except the car club. No more golf, video games, whisky, wine, AV gear or partying. I live across the road from the BEST bar in Brisbane (The Walrus Club) and I have only been once for a friends 30th. ONE MORE YEAR!
