Mr_G replied to Mr_G's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Ya, was $600 before I got them checked out... I have no clue about suspension being a noob, but hey, someone on the forums checked them out for me, told me whats wrong with them and all, and then I had the feeling of getting jacked!!! If the guy lived in Syd, he would have coped it by now! -

He only told me there was one leaky which needed a rebuild, so I was happy with rebuilding the rear pair, since the leaky was the rear left... But didnt realise they would need shaft replacement too upon further inspection... If you think its pretty cheap, wanna buy them off me ?? If I dont get my refund, ill just dump these pretty much for a cheap ass price of $350.... So ya, it looks like ill have to pretty much get rid of these anywayz, as I dont think this guy is going to give me my cash... Anybody want coilovers?? 1 dead shock that leaks oil like crazy, another one is on its way out with slight leaks... Shafts all have burns, except one shock... Only one shock out of the 3 has no problems! At least ill recover some costs... Would suite someone who knows people in the suspension industry, ie that can get rebuilds done cheap cheap... No adjustment tools, but these are height and damper adjustable... If your in melb, you can go hassle the guy who I bought them off... Cheers Jason -

Smart thinking.... But yeah, this guy really doesnt want to talk to me for some reason... Doesnt reply to email, pm, sms.... So if you want my advice, dont buy something off that same guy EVER!!! Might have to make a trip down to Melbourne and talk to his parents... Supposedly the guy is only 20 which is what another forum member on Ns.com told me... Just jap offered me $50 for the suspension gear which I just paid $500 for... Not happy Jan!!!! Definately taking some sought of action if I dont get my refund! -

Thanks mate I dont believe in ripping off people, so I pretty much refuse to sell this gear... So now im $500 down, and trying to recover my costs by contacting the "Sponsor" from the Nissan silvia forums... I did manage to call him, however he pretty much said "no refund" blah blah blah, and "f....k off!".... Hmmm nice customer service huh... I also rang several times which he didnt pick up, until I used another number and rang, and he picked up... Weird huh!! Anyhow, we will see what happens in the next few days whether or not he will send me the money... Im happy to send them back at my own expense, providing a full refund... PM me if you want to know who the sponsor on NS.com forums is... Cheers Jason -

GUYS, THESE COILOVERS ARENT FOR SALE ANYMORE!!!! One of the forum members kindly looked over them (im a noob to suspension) and told me that they were pretty much stuffed... I dont want to sell anything dodgy to people on these forums, as I have respect for all of you guys.... These coilovers were purchased of a "Sponsor" of NS.com in which im going to have a word to him about... I was told only 1 would need a rebuild, and that the others still had "Plenty of life in them" I will ask the sponsor of NS.com to give me a refund politely, and see how it goes from there... If not, well I guess you guys will find out who the sponsor is on NS.com who sold me these dodgy shocks! Guys, be careful when buying over the net especially interstate.... Its hard to judge from pictures on things such as suspension as I have just learnt.... -
I got a 9835 in my line... One of the best units ive had!!!! Has so many features, and yet, the sound clarity is amazing just running speakers of the head unit... Was originally going to run a 4ch amp for all the speakers, however i sold it off as there was no use! The 9835 is a great unit, and if you have WMA/MP3, it allows you to scroll through the songs to select the song you were after (browsing file names). I bought mine off Ebay which got sent from America.

Actually, dont really need to get it from Cypher... Picked one up from Unique Autosports today.... It was made by CES up in QLD, but John at Unique is a top bloke and gave it to me for a reasonable price... The HKS styled ones from x-force or the HKS one itself are different to the ones Cypher or CES make. The one I bought has the seperate pipe for the wastegate joining before the bend on the main exahsut front pipe.... In theory and practice, these pipes tend to perform better against a hks styled dump pipe with front pipe connector...

Hi guys, kinda getting bored of my wheels and looking for a change for my R33. I currently have Volk challenges which my car came with when I bought it from Japan... The car has a staggered set of wheels, ie 17x8 (235's) @ front, 17x9 (255's)@ rear with 90% tread on the rear, around 50% tread on the front, with bridgestone Grid 2 on front, Potentza (Bridgestone) grid 3 on rear... Was wondering if anyone was interested in a trade at all? See pics for my wheels... All wheels are in really good condition... Only the left front one has a slight gutter mark, however ill get some closer shots for more interested people.... Im actually after a set of P1's in gunmetal or gold... Wouldnt mind any colour at all in the p1's.... So if anyone has some nice wheels they would like to trade, let me know... Pics of your wheels can be sent to: write2_jason@hotmail.com

Hi guys, Ive recently been in contact with Cypher Industries located @ 1/9 Blamey Place, O'CONNOR, WA 6163. Anyhow, I live in Sydney, and have been wanting to get a split dump/front pipe from Cypher. When I contacted Zac @ Cypher in November last year, I was advised that he would need an R33 to come in, as they knock up the pipe on the spot, they dont actually have a template that they use to mass produce, due to everyone having different exhaust systems... I was advised by Zac, that they are still waiting on an R33 to go in, and get the split pipe fitted up when I called during the week... Im just awaiting on this pipe, so I can go install the power fc and get it tuned, saving money at the end. So my favour to ask, does anybody out there want to purchase a split dump/front pipe for their R33??? Here is some info on the pipe: http://www.cypherindustries.com.au/catalog...?item=downpipes I was quoted a pipe in mild steel would be $500 sent to Sydney... So will be cheaper as you dont have to add in freight.... If anyone is thinking to get one of these pipes in the next week or so, would you be able to PM me, cause maybe I can sort out a better deal with Cypher, since he gets 2 sales in one hit???

And my verdict from starting this thread..... Im going to get my job done with Unigroup in a few weeks time. Just getting together the rest of my mods before I do go, and will post up results once its done Not after crazy power at the wheels, but after a nice curve I like nice curves... HAHA!
-
Thanks champ.... Do you know if he can fit and adjust an exhaust cam gear aswell? Bought an adjustable one just the other day
-
How much did you pay for your tune?? Are those your only mods?? How does the car feel now?

Indeed! Im pretty sure they are "JUN" copies, as I spoked to a guy I saw at a Servo once with the same ones, and he bought his from Hong Kong. However, they retail around 400ish @ UAS, but im looking for some that are already in white, so it saves me the hassels of getting it prepped and sprayed (more $$$)
-
As pictured, preferbly in white

Here are some pics I scraped together which I found...
