Watched the last one of 2005 and Clarkson tried to see if he could do as well on real race track at Laguna Secca in an NSX as he could on PSX Gran Turismo 4. Well he was better on the PSX 1.41, only 1.57 on the track. Goes to show the fear of crashing affect a person, racing drivers cope better. I managed 1.28 in an R32 GTR like mine

Remember not to mix dextron II & III. The Straight ATF or Matic-D from Nissan is the standard oil, the Dextron is unknown when it comes to its effect on the seals.

R32 Gtr Brake Master Cylinder
cobra_mark replied to R32 Zilla's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
So is an R33 Master Cylinder the same as the R32? Anyone got the Nissan FAST part numbers for the either or both Cylinders and or a recon-kit? -
R32 Gtr Brake Master Cylinder
cobra_mark replied to R32 Zilla's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Do you have a part number for the KIT? It would save my life if someone can post it. The local NISSAN dealer will get it if I have that magic number. Regards Mark -
Are there no links in the www.skylineowners.com sites for these files ? I have all 3 the R32 GTR, R33 Engine, and a complete R33 parts listing ala FAST. If someone has adecent website I can upload on Monday from work with a permanent 2Mb feed.

Squeeling brakes in R32 GTR
cobra_mark replied to 7heavn's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well I fitted 200SX pad to my R33 GTS (RB20E) and they squeal and squeak under light breaking. How do work that out then ? Apec 666 front and EPC 723XL on the back. !!!! -
The manual covers the engine, ECu's brakes, every service item, full exploded diagrams fault diagnosis the works, was translated from the Japanese version. Mark

The 491 page R33 Manual is a Japanese convert, and covers RB20e, RB25De, RB25DETT, and the RB26DETT. I have not seen it on the Australian sites as yet, I got it from the UK site, www.skylineowners.com Regards Mark

http://www.gtr.org.uk ..........try this link there is a lot of talk on the www.skylineowners.com site as some of the lads have the R33 Service manual and are downloading it from each other. The above link is fast and active as of today. Regards Mark
-
Try this site, one of the www.skylineowners.com chaps has hosted it here, very quick. http://www.gtr.org.uk I got the manual on a 2Mb leased line in miutes. Its awesome, 491 pages, all models. Regards Mark

I have down loaded the R33 Service Manual(150Mb) PDF from a UK link in Skylineowners.com thread. It is the business, also have the Workshop manual for the R32 GTR, only 23Mb. Pitty there is not an FTP area on this website. The R33 book is 491 pages in all and cannot be compressed. Regards Mark

Confirmed the front pads are Apec 666, fitting kit Apec 430. The rear pads are EBC DP686/2 or Apec PADS 643. Hope this helps all. Mark

I too have sourced the front pads, they fit the Nissan 200SX and Primera. Still having trouble getting the rear set in the UK, my dealer cannot match them.
-
I believe they come off of a 200SX Nissan. I am searching myself for a set, will confirm when I have both axle sets. Worth looking at the http://www.skylinegts.co.uk/ and the service chart gives some clues. Regards Mark

The Armour All product discolours aluminium, I used it on my AC Cobra rims and they went all white stained and scummy. AutoSol is the god, but the stain my go too deep, time to send them off to be machine polished or refurbished. Laquered or un lacquered aluminium is bad new with that product. I use Auto Glym on my wheels but hey are painted alloys not polished. Good luck with the clean up my heart goes out to you.

Complete R32 GTR Workshop Manual !!!
cobra_mark replied to cobra_mark's topic in General Maintenance
Sherlock_NZL, I have given that a go, but it requires the vbdll416 library, as th einstall does not even run without a small error at the end. Still on course to prove it this weekend. Will let you know. Mark -
I face the same dilema, as it is 65K time and new plugs require all the piping out of the way. I intend to remove one of the jubilee clips for the rubberised hose to the intake pipe and then unmount the pipe from one side of the block/ head brackets. Mark PS tried to upload a picture but that does not work so PM if you want it it might help.

Complete R32 GTR Workshop Manual !!!
cobra_mark replied to cobra_mark's topic in General Maintenance
This link came from the Skylinesdownunder forum and is 136Mb in size. It is a RAR file of the fast disk, Nissan manual, part numbers etc.(use wrar330.exe to uncompress) I have downloaded it and installed it on my XP machine, but it does not work fully. This could be due to the 1999 date on it and that it needs Windows 98. http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/show...ght=nissan+fast There is a URL http://194.149.66.28/auto/gr.rar Run this thread then select the URL, right click save target and wait. The uncompressed version is 336Mb. I have started to debug why it fails by getting the VB416dll files. Hope someone cracks it, meanwhile I will carry on by putting it on Win98. Hey guys at least its free, I don't beleive in making fellow Skyliners pay for good knowledge. Good luck. Mark -
I have by chance downloaded an 808 page complete R32 GTR Workshop manual. Now as I don't have a GTR yet it will only be used in the month's to come. This PDF file zipped is 21Mb, and came from http://www.lancer-evo.net/manuals/misc/r32.zip I used my works Internet to pull it in about 10 minutes, it would have been over an hour at Modem speeds. After my last post with the R33 Parts diagrams, there is no way I can get this to everybody so some one may want to host it I can send small sections as needed, but most ISP's will stop that size doc. Hope we can all use this. Regards Mark

Just bought a set of Platinum Plugs for my R33 RB20E, cost £60.00 !!!! The part number was PFRG5-11, these are not iridiums, does anyone know of a reason why they should not be run in this engine ?? Regards Mark

I will be doing the Cambelt change in 3000 miles, I have the belt from Nissan, £22-40. Is it a must to change the tensioner on the RB20e Engine ? Also does this go for the water pump ? Thoughts appreciated. Mark
