Hey guys, I'm after a drivers side R32 window rubber. It is the one that attaches around the edge of the door opening and the window rest against when closed. Mine has split so i'm after a good second hand one. Located Eastern suburbs Melb. Cheers Joe

I'm another one having hot start issues with my r32gtr, it's not as bad as the guys in previous posts, it's taken maybe max 3 or 4 attempts before spluttering into life. I'm running a PFC with a reasonabley tame engine setup although some tomei drop in cams have been installed and not tuned with them, so could partially have to do with that (but cranks over first time everytime when cold). Interested to see what the problem turns out to be. Goodluck guys.

Looks like it's either not tightened up enough or the copper washer between the fitting and block needs to be replaced.

Keep seeing a purple r32gtr each morning on maroondah highway coming from mooroolbark. SAU sticker and such on the back drivers window.

Removing Rb26 Sump
joeyta22 replied to joeyta22's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Fuuu! Hmmm no what i wanted to hear. Will have to have a think about what i want to do. Thanks for the advice guys. -
From what ive always thought, a rwc check doesnt actually fix any problems if they arise, they only note them down. So if you go in there with leaks they might cancel the certificate and get you to fix them (at your cost) before they will certify it again. Davey32 you have a PM.

Hey guys, Looking to re-seal and possibly add some baffles to the sump in rb26 32gtr in the next couple of days as its got a slow leak. Being used to typical RWD layout and comparing to this engine it seem just about the whole bottom front half of the car has to be removed With alot of the stuff i'm trying to gett my head around. Anyone have any tips for removal/reinstallation, as in any seal/fluids that will need to be replaced. Cheers, Joe

Not sure how much more adjustment i would be able to get out of it, when i wound it out almost max i could see that it had just started to scratch the surface of the window and was stil catching on the rubber. Thanks for the ideas, will give them a shot.

Hey guys, Having a problem with the drivers side window catching the top right part of the window rubber when wound up. When i bought the car, the window had quite a few visible scratches vertically along the window. After replacing the window with another one for a roadworthy, i was messing around with the upper adjustments and figured out the scratches are from adjusting the window out too far, so it obviously had the same problem previously. If sitting in the drivers seat and looking right at the window, the top right part of the glass (closest to B pillar) is snagging on the top corner of the rubber running along the side of the window. It still closes but it buckles the rubber and it will eventually wear it out. For the time being ive resorted to using a bit of vasoline on the rubber to help the window glide along it instead of snagging it, but it doesnt last long. Anyone else had this problem? Do i need a new window rubber? (still looks to be in good condition)

I'll come down and maybe enter s'n's.

Got my roadworthy today. Much better than previous place, just had to change the tint on the front windows and get rid of the pfc controller.
-
Nah didnt say anything about that suprisingly, i thought he would have picked up on the pfc more than anything else. What's the legal limit for rim diameter? 1" or 2" from standard?

Hahaha, yeah he was an older guy and probably has a grudge against jap cars or young guys in modified cars; atleast he didnt charge me because he "felt sorry for me"......

Failed RWC today, main reason being that someone has jacked up the car once or twich via the chassis rail and therefore has a sligh kink in the centre of it and some of the sills are bent from being jacked up with a trolley jack..... he beleives that this now requiresa full structural report from an engineer to say the car is structurally sound... what a tosser. Will try somewhere else on monday hopefully.

Yeah im pretty stoked with it. Mod wise it has the usual rebuilt engine using an r33 block with forged pistons, rb30 crank girdle, ported head, cams/gears, n1 oil/water pump, -7 turbos with full exhaust and powerfc. For some reason unknown the builder decided not to put in oil restrictors or sump baffles as far as i can tell from the receipts which is a bummer. Hasn't been tuned with cams yet and only running 0.7 bar atm, hopefully get it tuned in a week or so (winton this weekend is stealing most of my left over cash) and hope for responsive near 300kw reading.

Ahh ok, not as pricey as i would have thought. Havn't had the proper inspection as such, it was just a quick run around before i bring it in, so the car was stationary and wasnt running. But i would be tipping its something he will pull me up on. Thanks for the advice dude.

Bought this on the weekend, very happy so far.

Going in for a roadie on thursday after buying one of the 32gtr's advertised on here. Had the day off so i decided i'd go down to the place i booked it at and suss them out, i asked if the guy could just quickly look over the exterior to see if there was anything obvious he wouldnt pass. Surprisingly he said it might need a new front windscreen (looks 100% fine and perfect to me but he said something about the glass being grainey or something but im pretty sure that was just dust because it hadnt been washed), now im gonna take a stab in the dark here and say they are hella expensive to get a new one? Also the car wasnt turned on at the time and has had the middle muffler removed so i reasonably loud, went down to a local exhaust shop and asked what they could do and he said he would make up a whole rear section to make it quiter for $200 which is pretty reasonable but something i cant afford just now. When i asked him about drilling holes into a plate and putting it inbetween the flange he said its not a very good idea as he car wont want to rev above 3k rpm and if the inspector take it for a test drive or to check brakes he may pull me up on it.... any truth to this?
