  10. u wont find one near the pedals. look in the engine bay... just to the right of the plennum (when viewed form the front). you should see a hole there
  11. was that my guide??? to explain yr set up. if you tapped yr hose into the intake manifold (as u should) yr gauge will read a vacuum while idling as the manifold holds a both a vacuum or boost depending on yr throttle position. now if tapped in before yr throttle body, thats a boost only source, and as such yr boost gauge would read all sorts of wonderful spacko figures as it would be reading a greater and 0 reading at all times (theoretically). This would give you a high point when idling ( as the air enters in intake pipe before the throttle body but doesnt escape through it) and a second high point when the throttle body is open and the boost is at full... what readings you'd get in between is anyones guess. As for the boost yr getting. thats normal, remember that yr exhaust and intake will only vary your cars intake capacity, it will be easier to suck and to blow, but you havnt really changed the way the bov turb and waste gate function, so you wont see any great boost increase. as above a 33gtst will boost to 5psi at low revs then up to 7 later... or the other way round i cant remember,
  12. makes me thing that the front end of an r33 got raped by a 70's mustang.... not ugly, not attractive... but it could grow on me

  19. infact best thing i can recommend is this. check out Unique Auto Sports and Just jap. Alot of the parts here are upgraded (aka not stock) so it will give u a reference on what to expect. i mean why replace something with a stock item eh?
  20. ok firstly a skyline is an expensive car, maybe not at first but parts will usually always be pricier than your standard falcadore bits, and you'll either catch the modding bug or something will eventually wear out. That said, parts ARENT too hard to come by and in my opinion arent prohibativly priced. As for after market bits.... yes there are some, infact lots. Also some parts can also be subbed in from non imports... like a clutch from a nissan patrol. Maintanance is pretty straight forward too, there are a number of places that specialise in imports (UAS etc etc). So whether u be into DIY or paying someone else to do it, there are lots of parts available but yes they will be more expensive than yr standard falcadore part but not hard to come by.
  21. if you ever want an apprentice, i need a change of career.
  22. Ok this isnt in the event section for a reason.... its not an event.... yet. It looks like alot of people are off down to Goulburn for the dutton etc etc and being an a lazy sod who cant be fecked making that trip (next year maybe) i'm looking for a sydney alternative for saturday night. I propose a cruise on satuday night for the non-dutton ppl. Where from : thornleigh maccas (central to the north) When: saturday 5th of june 10pm ish. Where : undecided. we have 4 days to make up our minds... heres a suggestion or 2... 1. wisemans gosford run - stop at terrigal for food. (not for ppl who value the bottom of their cars). 2. Palmy/newport - i know theres a pub out there.... 3. -=fill this one in yrself=- This is both a request for interest and a nag... Any suggestions or ppl who want to come... just reply.
  23. put me down as a tentative "in" i'll update later closer to the night
