everyone keeps thinking that my huff duff idea is for gps... its more than that less at the same time. the idea is to locate a vehicle(s) without first having to drive past it or near it. The easiest way to do that would be if the vehicle in question transmits via radio cos then another vehicle can get a compass bearing to that radio source.... now this will give direction but not distance. 2 or more different bearings can be used to triangulate the direction and distance of the source, so u now have a bearing and approx range to the broadcaster. add to this the receivers gps co-ords and now a third party can gauge that there is a radio broadcasting 3km away on a bearing of say 75 degrees from the receiver. if the third party then maps this info on a computer generated map and transmits that graphical info back to the receiver the recevier now has a graphical snap shot of the broadcasters loaction. the more receivers u have the more range and more accurate the map is. so if all reveivers started listening for say police radio (dont have to decipher it just hear it) then the finaly outcome would be a map of say sydney with points on it marking the location of cop radios be it cars stations speed traps or foot patrol.

did this myself a few months back bent the front left control arm. to get it and the bushes replaced was 550 all up from hills MS

ok i may be a little ahead of myself... but wont this just burn the petrol stations? i mean it would work like this right... mr blow at bp has had a good week with alot of business and moves say 50000 ltrs (just picking a random number) so he decides to buy 75000 this week to see if he can sell more, the truck comes in and he's billed for his 75000ltrs. All of a sudden no one shows up and he's overstocked by a few 10's of thousands of ltrs and then has to hoik his price up again to cover the outlay for the fuel that he thought he could sell. we come back on thurs and low and behold the fuel is even more expensive cos he has to make back his investment by bill time. if you wanna hurt the petro chemical industry do the following. dont buy anything plastic. stop buy any motor oils dont paint yr hours or anything else. dont buy some medicines. infact just stop buying everything, its all linked. That way we can feck over a majority of industries they will go broke and be unable to restock, the petrochem comps will go broke too and weyhey! the economy comes crashing down. ok more than a little exagerated but u get the idea. The prices we see are due to GLOBAL MARKET FORCES. Jibbing yr local servo will only screw over the owners. All the people further up the tree already have their money, and trust me they're not going to complain about having a few more barrels on hand to sell to people who truely are deperate for it and will pay top dollar

For me it came down to this.... I had drven nothing but bombs in my time, and driven them to within an inch of their lives. When it came to getting a new car i knew that i could get another bomb for peanuts, or if i wanted something new i could buy a barina or sommin else naff for 20 odd grand. Now i wanted a performance car, i've lived with no accelleration (something which i think is very very bad and at times more dangerous than too much accelleration) and decided it wasnt for me. When i took my options into account really there was no other option BUT a skyline... silvia 2ltr 4cylinder.... i could get a rex for the same price and have 4wd soarer .... boat supra... very nice but bland without a turbo... which is pricy or SKYLINE 6 read it 6!!!! cylinders.... 2.5 ltr (in my op 2 more cylinders and .5 of a ltr more is worth more than 4wd) plus a turbo... plus 4wheel steer... plus plus plus plus it won all hands down. Really whe u look at the alternatives... there are no alternatives, no where will you get the same ammount of features and performance for the same price. So in my eyes the skylines a supercar, but the important difference its an AFFORDABLE supercar. also who wants to buy a second hand bomb which the past owner just wants to get rid of. atleast with a line most owners have taken pride and tlc in their lines

Hey all, I'm currently working on a personal project to graphically document major rb series engine components, with the aim being a web page or java app that will aid people (mostly people newer to the mod scene) in locating key areas on their own vehicle. I have browsed the forums and the net in general for pictures that meet my requirements but i have realised that for any kind of consitency i'm going to need custom photos. What i am looking for is photos of assembled engines, more specifically a rotation of the engine taken at 90 degree increments (or 45 degrees if your feeling generous), including the top and bottom. I'm hopeing to avoid having to hoik the engine out of my car to do a set for a 25det, so if anyone has an rb series block out and have access to a dig camera any pics would be appreciated. if all goes well i plan to put it up somewhere for everyone to use if they like it. yeah one question... whats the deal with the rear view mirror? old law/new law?

dont know the exact figures.... but heres the story. Installed Eboost and confed it to run 12psi. set up was verified by my bro in law (he builds drag cars so i trust his jkudgement, even if hr has made a car or 2 go pop). It would accellerate ok until i got above approx 10psi when the OBP (overboost blah blah) and fuel cut kicked in. this is with stock everything bar EBC 3 inch turbo back zorst and a pod filter.

what mods you running? keep in mind that the factory ecu has an overboost protection and a fuel cut. i installed an EBC about 2 weeks ago... all went in ok, but when i went to road test i started headbutting the dash every time i cranked up the boost and floored it. so to get the most out of an ebc u need 3rd party ECU or FCD. My next question is, why are u bothering with this when u plan to install an EBC soon anyway? i'd hold off, check out your options when it comes to yr EBC and just do it in one fell swoop then, the benefits of what your doing now may hardly be noticable. I use the philosophy of "Dont do anything twice if it can be avoided, and if your going to do anything do it well"

Hey all, I've just got my hands on a copy of dyno2000 (looking for 2003 if anyone has it) and i'm trying to find the stats to simulate an rb25det and other skyline types. so far i've found the bore and stroke (thanks to meggala's site) but thats pretty much all. These are the variables with the ones i know filled in. 25det Cylinders 6 Bore 86mm Stroke 71.7mm cyl vol 416.49cc Total vol 2498.95cc 4 valves per cylinder Intake valves 2 Exhaust valves 2 intake diameter : unknown ext diameter : unknown Compression ratio : 9.something?? Induction flow : approx?? cfm Stock turbo flow : cfm Pressure ratio : ?? surge flow : ?? And a whole pile of cam stuff i have no idea how to figure out or even explain. I've tried searching for the above and really cant find much. Any assistance would be useful, and others might find the info of value aswell. look forward to hearing your replies. cheers M

ok i work for a mobile carrier and no this stuff back to front. If the handset (not the contract) is less than a year old, its covered by manufacturer warranty so use that. If its outide that one year... do the following. 1. take it to a voda store... get them to check it out and they will confirm it dead. 2. Get the ccu (Customer claims unit) number fromo the store or customer service. 3. Ring CCU and advised them of the cause and that you have taken it to store and they confirmed it as dead. The CCU will then give you instructions on what u need to do next... what paper work needs doing etc etc and will then either a) direct u to a store to pick up a handset or b)send you a replacement.
