Ok thankyou very much really really needed that and appreciate it. Would anyone be able to decifer what everything means. I can understand the basics but not all of it, Can i tell if my car is a genuine series 3 from this

I did a full revs check and everything before i bought the car and had it inspected. The car believe it or not is immaculate on the exterior and the interior. Couldnt find any damage even when we put it up on the hoist. Only thing was a few scrapes on the front lip. The previous owner is willing to give me a $1000 refund for the rear brakes. Personally i think the v-spec badge was just put on the boot from when it was imported back in 2003 and im guessing none of the past 2 previous owners ever knew it was a non v-spec. Im not complaining because the car drives like a dream, i just wish i knew it was a non v-spec when i bought it because i feel cheated now. And as far as the new front bar goes im guessing it was just replaced some time along the line.

Ill check that now. It only has one rear reverse light on the left side so im guessing the right side is a parker thus its a series 3. Well at least i know my car is a series 3 but its not a vspec

Just bought the car and found a few things i wanted to clear up... and i do have a rear wiper. There were a few other loose wires behind there but im not going to worry about it to much

I got it from a private seller and contacted him just then. He had no idea that it wasn't a v-spec and was as shocked as i am. He recons he couldve sworn it was a vspec. but oh well Could you reccomend any decent workshops to look at my car in adelaide?

Damn don't think its a v-spec then. Im calling the previous owner and going to sort thing straight with him, Im worried it may not be a series 3 because i can't find any lights for the rear fog light (if it even has one) because they are ment to be on the series 3

also the year is 1997 on the build plate if that helps

Really appreciating all this help as i have held of events for the day to stay on here for further info. The interior has red stitching in the seats and the steering wheel! and there is no a lsd light
