  1. Thanks man, much appreciated. By the way, your 34 looks mean in the first pic. Love it.
  2. Some pics of mine. Couldn't resist after washing it.
  3. Yeah, I get about 500km-550km to a tank but I travel 400km a week to TAFE each week + I am left with a 1/4 of a tank to last me to and from work until the following week. Kinda helps to drive like a grandma when you're a student working permanent part time, haha.
  4. Solution: Buy piece of shit and keep Skyline as an every now and then car.

  6. CAS (Ignition Timing) + O2 Sensor Checkup + A'PEXi SAFC NEO. And some F&F Stickers LOL JK, but srsly just keep it stock and save up for an R32 GT-R or something. The above would probably set you back $400 - $800 but you're not really going to notice any gains + NA Skylines are slow as is... with the above it's still going to be slow, lol.
  7. Cars have to be stock when being complied to ADRs. I assume the man who bought that R34 GT-R is very, very rich and decided he wanted the parts put back on. Compliance Workshops will only really turn a blind eye to simple modifications like an exhaust, non-standard wheels, body kit - that sort of thing; when it comes to the engine, it has to be standard. As mentioned by the Chris, if you want something modified... why not just buy locally?
  8. Lol, what a bunch of fools; I was under the impression uncomplied vehicles couldn't be driven on the road until they were complied to ADRs.
  9. I personally think if it has a matching front bar, side skirts etc to make it 'right', then it looks good.
  10. Yeah, I've seen that white R32 quite a few times actually. Saw him just the other day as a matter of fact, haha.
  11. Just saw a white R34 GTT with black wheels and Nismo sticker across the top part of the windshield outside Supercheap Auto in Mittagong. I was the guy with the blue jeans and hoody who came out of Supercheap and then went into Dick Smiths just so I could see who you are. Car looks really clean too. I was driving off in the red Hyundai Excel, I would've waved but I wasn't in my 34 and it would've looked retarded, lol. If you're on the forums, we should go for a cruise or something; seen you quite a few times. And I also saw a white R33 with racing stickers on the front left quarter panel in the same parking.
  12. They're okay for the handling and "style" but if it's speed that you're after, then they're not fast at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for speed, which is why I'm going to buy an R32 GTR or R34 GTT one of these days as a project car so I can work it up and use it for track days until I can apply for my unrestricted license then get it road registered. My advice to you is, if you want speed then save up for a turbocharged Skyline. If you want style and good handling and generally a cool car as a P Plater then by all means... buy one but keep in mind, they aren't fast at all. The NEO RB25DE unit will only produce 200HP/147kW which equates to roughly 110rwkW-120rwkW. PS. If you get one, don't drive like a dick mmkay? Makes me and many other P Platers look like wankers. EDIT: I forgot to mention the R33 will use an RB25DE, not a NEO RB25DE...
  13. Saw a wine red R32 GTR going onto The Seven Ways and also a red R33 on Bexley Rd
  14. No, I'm 98% certain the one used in the N/A R34 is an RB20DET gearbox. The RB20DET gearbox can take no more than 220rwkW, so if you want more power then that, I would budget for a GT-T gearbox. I'm pretty sure you can just use the N/A R34 gearbox depending on your power needs. Someone can correct me if i'm wrong.
  15. Yeah mate, $1100 fitted and tuned for a claimed 30kW isn't particularly reasonable in my opinion. Best to keep everything stock and then you can go turbo later on, that's what I'm doing anyway.
  16. I emailed the workshop who did this R33 about four months ago and they said you could pick up an extra 30kW from the Nistune ECU (which is actually a modified Z32 ECU I believe). And in regards to your car, she sure is high! I don't even know what my suspension is, it's higher at the back though that's for sure. Once I get my 18" TE37s, I'll work on my suspension. Lol.
  17. No, one is naturally aspirated and the other is turbocharged. Seeing as you want a turbocharged Skyline, I would assume you have an unrestricted license. But my advice to you is to learn about the different models of Skyline before you actually go out and buy one. Make sure you have a read of that thread I copied and pasted in my previous post as it will show you what to look for in particular when buying a Skyline. This forum has a lot of information, you just have to find it. Lurk moar!
  18. Well, for starters. Are you looking for an R33 GTS or an R33 GTS-T? P.S. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/35129-im-buying-a-skyline-what-should-i-look-for/
