  1. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they would. Don't think the RTA would be doing things like this without charging a nominal fee. -_-
  2. Just a question, why do they do a Vehicle Identity Check? Isn't that done during Compliance anyway?

  4. cheers for accepting. lol.

  5. That's what I thought as well, but I've also been told it's a paint that is applied at the factory that acts as a sort of sound deadener, but you can't see it on most cars due to years of dirt etc that covers it up and such. I was even shown a picture of another car which is of the same year... or maybe a few years younger which had the same thing except it was a white paint as opposed to grey, and also had the same amount of underbody paint and the car is also from Tokyo. I was under the impression that it didn't snow there as much as in other parts of Japan. Could be wrong though. Cheers.
  6. Hey guys, I was going through some pictures of a car and noticed these weird grey patches on the underbody, does anyone know what they might be? At first I thought it was rust repair but there's way too much of it for it to be cut out, repaired and welded... I mean it could be. What do you guys think? Here are some pictures: http://imageshack.us/m/580/2233/203tz.jpg http://imageshack.us/m/30/7345/204yv.jpg http://imageshack.us/m/864/6320/191b.jpg http://imageshack.us/m/822/3536/189kz.jpg http://imageshack.us/m/850/5933/168mh.jpg Cheers guys.
  7. Would you be able to get me a part number for an OEM steering wheel for a non turbo Series I R34 25GT? (09/1999 model) Cheers.
  8. Would anyone be able to tell me if these body kits are a direct fit onto a 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 25GT Coupe? The reason I ask is, is because I'm looking at getting a body kit for my Skyline some time in the not too distant future, and I've heard people saying some body kits require additional work to make them fit and such. Cheers.
  9. +1 Just buy an R34 25GT and you'll save yourself the hassle.
  10. I smell troll... Someone who owns an R31 and an R33 should surely know what the difference between an R34 GT and an R34 GT-T is.
  11. Oh right... hot as in radioactive. My bad, lol.
  12. Try J-Spec Imports or Iron Chef Imports. http://www.j-spec.com.au http://www.ironchefimports.com Both are very reputable, and do a good job. EDIT: While they don't actually own Dealerships, they can source cars from Japan just like any Import Dealership would be able to.
  13. Now... if I had a few million dollars. Amazingly mint car, I do want! Lol.
  14. Damn, I sure as hell hope no one pours their hard earned money into buying one of them if they get through.
  15. Wouldn't the car be denied by any compliance workshop if it was in any way flood damaged, or accident damaged if it was imported through SEVS?
  16. Here you are:
  17. In actual fact, I've just discovered that Windows XP Mode doesn't work on Windows 7 Home Premium 64BIT. Does anyone have a 64BIT version of Nissan FAST?
  18. The one I downloaded from kickasstorrents.com isn't compatible with Windows 7. EDIT: Nevermind, I'm running 64BIT Windows 7 so I'll just download Virtual PC and run it in XP Mode and it should work.
  19. Hey all, was just wondering what these rims are. I've googled, and can't seem to find out what they are. Any ideas? Thanks.
  20. $24,000 for an r34 25gt. i'm expecting to pay around about $14500 all up for mine when it arrives in australia. you should have just saved up more money and paid cash instead of getting a car loan... worst thing you could ever do imo since a car is a depreciating asset and paying $24,000 for an n/a r34 wow, just wow.
  21. i don't mean to be rude or anything, but it's going to cost you a lot more than you think it will. as many have said in this thread, you will need a bucketload of money to carry out the work and of course it will have poor re-sale value. i was thinking of doing the same thing but was advised not to by somebody who actually did do the swap and the conversion in the end, which he said was a regret. plus, you are not going to get cheaper insurance just because it's a non turbo chassis, it's actually the same chassis used by the 25GT-T. if i was you, i would just wait until the provisionals expire, and then invest in a clean R34 25GT-T which will be cheaper than the actual cost of making an N/A R34 a stock R34 25GT-T. if you're going to mod, just do basic things like exhaust, wheels, etc but try and keep it as stock as possible (even if you keep the OEM parts and whack em on when you're selling, you will retain the cars original value and not lose too much, don't forget.. another p plater WILL pay $14500-$15000 for an R34 25GT that has been looked after well and cared for) my two cents.
  22. probably a good idea at the end of the day because converting an n/a auto r34 to manual is a waste of time, but that's just me.
  23. that's about the going price for an n/a auto r34 skyline, you can actually import some nice auto r34 skylines from japan with slightly lower mileage and also with grade 4 condition for cheaper anyway, people just try to get the autos for more than they're actually worth on carsales and other places. although imo, that's reasonably priced for an r34 auto n/a being sold in australia. well, for a coupe anyway.
