  1. All good, made one up today, works a treat.
  2. Hey guys, just recently upgraded my turbo for my r32 gtst. Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I'm after a 3 inch turbo intake pipe (not sure if that's what it's called, but it's the pipe that goes from turbo to afm then airbox). New turbo has a 3inch opening so the standard pipe won't mount. Anywhere in Sydney's west I could possibly look at getting a new intAke pipe or get one made up? I've seen the autobarn 88 silicone ones, but I've read on this forum that they're only standard fit? Any help or pointers will be appreciated
  3. Revs dropping to the point of stalling...I had the same issue with my r32 gtst. Did a diagnostic with my connect cable n ecutalk software. Turned out to be a code 12 (maf sensor) fault. Cleaned out the afm (sensor & the plug, undid 4 screws n pulled the plug out, sprayed inside with carby/tb cleaner) and it fixed my issue. The contact points inside the plug were bogged up...
  4. Sounds like AFM..pull off the afm, unscrew the 4 screws around the plug fitting. Once open, spray contact cleaner or tb/c cleaner in it.. Almost sounds like what my car was doing. I went through everything until I got my cable from ecutalk...turned out it was the maf sensor (afm) up to shiz..cleaned out all the gunk and so far my cars runnin sweet..
  5. I work around moorebank n have seen these coppers. Now, say u get suckered in by the cops tryn to go ya n u get booked, surely u can contest this due to both parties driving negligently.. If there gonna neck u for driving like a spaz, might aswell take them to the cleaners 2. Cops are there to police irresponsible behaviour, not friggin encourage it. Tossers.
  6. Just an update, replaced hoses for the map sensor, pulled off the afm and gave it a thourough clean out, undid the 4 screws where the plug goes into, pulled it out n noticed a fair bit of gunk on the 4 contact pins.. Well after a clean out, I'm happy to say it's been 4 days now and the car is running sweet, the rev cut out/stutter has disappeared. Added a pod conversion aswell n the car I running smooth as silk. Thank god for ecutalk n my consult cable! Ty for the input n helpful advice guys.
  7. Here's the error. Code 12: Mass Air Flow Sen (2 starts) (note 2 starts should actually be 20+ since fault started, i reset the code and re-read for errors)
  8. Was on the verge of purchasing coil packs until i got my consult cable from ecutalk... Plugged it in and the fault was Mass Air Flow Sensor (12) being the problem... I will either get a new maf, or just take it to the mechanic n let him deal with it. Atm with work, i dont really have the time to tinker or fiddle with it...
  9. Did an ecu diagnostic, came up clean n flashed 55. Just siliconed the coilpacks, found a few blue burn marks around 2 or 3 of the cp..I'll put em back on tomoz after the silicon has dried..
  10. Yeah I will run an ecu scan tonight when I get home from work. I'll go over the coils properly tomorrow n I'll splash em with silicon...if that works I'll get new coils on Thursday when I'm off..will keep u posted bud
  11. Bout 78ks...I'll pull out the coils tomoz n clean em out the slap some silicone all over em n see how it goes. Was looking at replacing the coil packs this week..any premium recommendations? I've seen splitfires thrown around on the forum a bit? Price? I'll give the afm a clean 2.. Although, I can't explain for the life of me why yesturday in 42 degree heat running almost non stop no sputter, yet today in cooler weather it's acting like a camel running on empty..
  12. Bad news, brother drove the car this morning and says it's still doing the sputtering. In at the point of getting sick of spending money on the car to no effect..think I'll go trade it n buy something more reliable :@..
  13. Really appreciated the help thanks.
  14. 98 octane is all i use for the skyline n my vz clubsport..usually shell vpower..
  15. So far so good. Ran it most of the day up n down the mountains, not so much as 1 sputter. Looks like the cracked hose was the culprit..
  16. Just an update, checked over everything this morning. Coil packs looked fine etc. Checked all hoses n found that the breather hose ontop of the block had a good crack through it. Replaced it, n belted the car down the freeway without so much as 1 sputter. I'm yet to believe that was the culprit. I will run it a bit more this arvo n see how it goes. Fingers crossed.
  17. Got splitfire sp's, spaced to 1.0. Will check over everything in the morning, will also pull out the coil packs n check for any cracks etc. Ty for the advice, fingers crossed.
  18. Standard fuel pump. Car hasn't been touched, it's standard apart from a cat back. Aac been flushed with tb cleaner. After browsing the forums I'm starting to think it's the coil packs. Until servicing the car, nothing looked like it been replaced. Spark plugs looked like originals from factory. I'm suspecting a hairline crack in the cp's. Car ran sweet even if it looked like it hadn't been serviced. after servicing it the problem began. It was imported less than a year ago and it was sitting in a garage untouched for the best part of six months...
  19. Hi all, new to the forums. Bought a 90 R32 gtst recently. All was going fine, until I decided to give it a service. After I bought the car, I gave it the once over. Changed spark plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump, engine oil n filter. Now, for some reason, especially under a bit of load, i get an inconsistent sputtering, as if its starving for fuel. The car has managed to stall because of this once, but mostly it'll just sputter for about 30 seconds, then it'll be fine until the next time it gets driven and it happens again. Plz bare in mind, b4 it was serviced it ran fine. Car is standard appart from a cat back exhaust which i had fitted. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
