  1. did little bits of metal work there way through the engine and cause any extra damage?
  2. flywheel/harmonic balancer pullers can do the job most of the time if you a solid one with extensions. But it would just be easier to find someone with a press.
  3. I couldn't beleive how quick that was. hmm, a rx7 is looking alot more tempting than a R32 GTR now...
  4. The best security system I have seen is from (and correct me if I am wrong) Robocop where the seat electricutes the theif. Fry fcuker!!
  5. You will need someone who knows what there talking about to look at them.
  6. Go to a mechanic or tyre shop, get them to bang a socket over the locknut and give it some love with a rattle gun. You may have to try a few places. I can recommend Jax tyres in blacktown, one of the guys there got my locknuts off without even damaging the socket. champion.
  7. Are these included with the car? Tomei 260' poncams Sard 700cc injectors Sard Fuel Rail and Nismo off rail fuel reg HKS Remote filter and oil cooler Apexi AVCR Greedy Black faced gauges - oil pressure/temp and water temp. Why did you go with the Apexi turbo's? What has been done to the engine internally? (headwork, forgies)
  8. Similar to what Autospeed did except they used a seperate bypass pipe then the digital fuel adjuster to get the A/F mixtures correct. In theory it should work the same way, just don't damage the AFM hotwires!
  9. is it possible to add extra features? (anti-lag, fuel-cut/ignition cut, boost conntrol etc etc)
  10. So how good are the standard ecu's in terms of how finely they can be tuned? (ie as good or better than PFC/Autronic/Motec etc etc or worse)
  11. Who built the motor?
  12. those people are real retards, so funny.
  13. If your spinning bearings, I don't think you need forged rods and pistons.
  14. I read on a website that NSX's can have a tendancy to smash (literally) oil pumps, when they expand, the clearances become to tight and BANG! Maybe something similar with the N1's?
  15. What else is required with an external pump? plumbing, bracket, pulleys, belts?
  16. External Oil Pump Moroso's External Oil Pump System has shown significant horsepower increases when used in conjunction with our External Wet Sump Oil Pans. Mounting an oil pump outside the engine (similar to a dry sump setup), allows the use of a full-length windage tray for less windage and more power! An External Oil Pump also eliminates torsional stress on the camshaft, as well as spark scatter and resultant horsepower loss caused by an internal pump. Interesting
  17. Why not use an external oil pump? Not a dry sump setup, just a pump thats sucks the oil up then feeds it into the engine. Maybe make use of the standard pressure relief valve and plumb the external pump into the standard positions. I would be surpised if there wasn't something available that could be used. Or is there more to it than that?
  18. I know, makes you wonder if the guy driving it was concentrating more on racing or on the repair bill if he hit a wall
  19. Sandown Circuit Sprint from the Vic Dutton Rally 20 Mitchell ABRAHALL 1989 Nissan Skyline GTR B 1:20.00 79 Peter FITZGERALD 1999 Porsche GT3 D 1:20.48 66 John KAIAS 2006 Nissan Skyline GTR B 1:21.70 Considering the R32 cost way less than half of what the 2 cars it beat, and the guy driving it had never driven it before the meeting, I would say that isn't a bad effort. It will be interesting to see what he can do next year.
  20. I saw the accident on the news, the odd thing was it didn't look like the crash was that bad, there have been worse accidents than that. I guess they just got hit in the wrong spot. What speeds do they do in that section of the track? Just saw the footage, hit in the drivers side, not good.
