  1. Wednesday is actually the 11th and I will also be there then
  2. Jay, have your man go with you for quotes, especially at some places mentioned, cause as sad as it sounds some places treat women differently. As for where I go its a little different considering they were my girlfriends mechanics before mine, and I am glad they do cause I hate wanker mechanics!!!!
  3. EDIT: Found the manuals quite helpful despite being out dated!!! Thanks!!
  4. Fell asleep...its been one of those weeks. I really need to come out some time and have a chat Dan...
  5. Let us know how you go when you get it running, a major service may also be a wise move if everything turns out OK...
  6. Funny thing is Apexi and HKS use quite a few Autometre guages in their drag cars...horses for courses. Any decent quality guage should work fine, but paying in excess of $200 for a mechanical boost gauge is pure stupidity...
  7. A little more detail on the Soutside meeting spot may be a good idea???? Seeing as some of us Northsiders have NFI regaridng locations on the Southside...
  8. Where did you get the carbon fibre look partition...???
  9. Sorry but I get autometre boost gauges for about $45AUD so me thinks i will stick with that...VDO are poo
  10. Excellent work dan, will you be putting it on your 32 fo a "test" This is huge step and something that alot of people have been looking for!!!! And a better alternative IMHO than a highflow!!
  11. OK, after recent Dyno day where the car got 129.7rwkw (yes this is not a misprint, due to AFR's richer than 10:1 due to the standard computer) I went to MM for a tune... 159.9rwkw Management: Power FC Boost 10psi with GFB atomic boost controller AFR: 11.8:1 Exhaust: Bellmouth dump, custom mandrel 3" and stainless 3" cat, with 5 Zigen rear muffler (rather large and thus nice and quiet) Engine: Rebuilt with Venolia Pistons and Chrome Moly rings (that is one is Chrome coated the other compression ring is molydeneum(sp) coated...and for anyone that reads this there is NO SUCH THING AS CHROME MOLY RINGS... Head: Mild port and polish, reseated valves all standard, standard static compression (8.9:1 on average compared to stock of 9:1) Malpassi Rising Rate Reg Walbro Fuel Pump GFB Stealth Bov K&N Filter with no heat partition (has been put in since) Stock Cooler Stock Turbo Was a reliable safe tune due mainly stock intercooler and considering this is often driven daily. The midrange and low down is now incredible. For those about to spray I got more power for same mods. Excellent for you, but this will run this all day everyday!!! First Dyno Graph Shows before and after with AFR's and the Second is with Boost.
  12. Ozy you have my PM. As 85URK has said get ALL the info you can and you account of events, letter of complaint first, otherwise you will have to defend it in court. THough if you have already admitted to speeding then the whole thing is a waste of time.
  13. Merry Christmas All have a save and well rounded New Years as well!! Remember, DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE OR SPEED!!!!!!!
  14. Geez those school holiday's just sneak up on you...
  15. With Forged pistons I would not be taking it above 3,000 for the first 500... Do a search I have detailed a guide to running in that is very comprehensive
  16. yeah your mechanic is shit!!! lol Australian conditions...did you put pushrods in it while no one was looking...hehehe Personal joke for those about to try and flame me...
  17. Great News!! And great entertainment, I nearly pissed myself after reading there was no plugs!!! And yes alot of places remove the plugs, mine did
  18. Happy Birthday...damn more December birthdays!!! Only the best month!!!
  19. Happy Birthday!!! the best people are born in december!!!
  20. Ummm NEGATIVE
  21. Looks like EvoCam's Evo VIII is showing up some more highly prized competition... Not bad for stock suspension either... And how the f@ck is a Lyland P76 almost as quick at an EVO...
  22. Safety in this build up seems to be a HIGH priority...

Come on people. Dan I will call around and see what I come up with, being Friday night no gauruntees, but seeing as I am still at work the calls will be free!!!
  25. Don't loose faith bro, this is one of the best build up threads and have followed it intently. The rewards will be there, and at the moment you are the inspiration behind me finally doing some decent mods to my line seeing as I got it rebuilt with venolia's...and have run STOCK as a rock for almost 6 months now... Keep up the good work!!
