Welcome to the forum...or should I say goodbye

Alright done a search, well several actually to no avail... I have a SII R33, standard turbo standard everything, never boosted. Today after starting it, (it had been sitting there for 3 weeks unstarted) I noticed at idle a strange squel, high pitched similar to a rattle noice through the pod filter. It is very intermittent...ie is not a constant tick tick etc, but on occassion... Now we all know the knee bone is connected to the leg bone, so is this noise from the turbo I am assuming, also this goes away as soon as the rev's increase...which makes me think the turbo shaft may be slightly out of balance...but then why intermittent. On boost no noise other than the normal compressor noise...has anyone had this??? Should I pull the gear off and check for shaft play, is the compressor wheel rubbing on the housing????

Hopefully in like flynn, will have to make the broom legal for that day...

Ummm I have had it for weeks.... What "things" are you thinking of using...??? Also I think they will do another Skyline special...not just a GTR special...they usually do...

Actually, the 02 sensor obtains condensation during initial start up,cold start, and if operated at an angle below horizontal then the sensor can fail quite quickly... This is pretty common knowledge...the heater element also is liable to fail...

Thanks for that... Not a fan of the location of the O2 sensor...its angled below horizontal...they don't like working at that angle...
