Pettett is a weak prick....i tried playing mr nice guy but that didnt work so then i started getting full smart right to his face.......the look on his face was so funny i dont think many people tell him to go f**k himself! Big deal $110 fine.......i dont think its within their jurisdiction to not let me drive the car after the fine. f**k him next time i'm driving off right infront of him and we'll see what happens. If i did the wrong thing then i'll pay the price, and if pettett's in the wrong i'll make sure my lawyer Mr Zolis will take care of him....also i'll make sure that the ombudsman, his commanding officer and any other party that may find it remotely interesting will be notified.

Hey All, I know this topic has been done over and over again but i've got a question regarding it. I got pulled over by Pettett last night and given a fine for driving a high powered vehicle on p plates, car was stock, no defect, wasn't breaking any road rules. I've recieved a few of these before and normally its just the $110 fine and they let you drive off. However last night i was told that I was not to drive the car or I would have the car keys taken off me. Anyone know the truth to this? I've rang a few different TMU offices and the rule seems to be different from police officer to police officer. Some say yes you can drive it home, some say no you cant but if you get caught again then another fine. From my experience its just the fine and they let you go. I just want to know if i'm within my rights to drive off after the fine. Any feedback regarding this? I've tried looking up the laws/acts on the internet but havent' found anything concrete.

bah its not a performance shop. 90% of the cars he services are just regular cars like 10 year old plus holdens/fords etc. Fair enough he does the odd jap car but hes a shit mechanic. You tell him to do stuff to your car, and he only does what he feels like. I went there a few times and i stopped going there. All he does is servicing. Yes its cheap, but i prefered to spend the extra money and go to chasers/genesis. At least there i didn't get ****ed around. Lambros is a bullshit artists and he knows nothing about tuning. He can change parts etc and that crap, as far as tuning goes he knows nothing. He told me that my stock ECU could be 'tuned' without adding any extra chips etc. Also he claimed that I could run 25psi on my r33, i thought that was funny since i had a stock turbo. One of the times i took my car there i needed my car raised, i had tein coilovers and he fkn wrecked the suspension, he had it in a vice with a blowtorch n shit on it, he butchered the screw on metal things. I wouldn't take my car there.

If you haven't got much cash, dump in a second hand turbo. Check for shaft play on the turbo shaft - very easy, you should't be able to move it laterally (side to side) or vertically, up and down. If it moves either or both directions more than a mm or so the turbo is worn. Hi flowing? **** that. Costs around $1500? you would be better off getting a second hand HKS item for a little bit more money.

YES. I all too unfortunately know what they are like. LA performance is run by this guy lambros. He has his brother there George but he just sits around all day, and knows nothing about cars although he'll let on that he does. They have an apprentice and the apprentice dave does all the work on the cars. His prices are cheap and you get what you pay for, which is shit quality work. Lambros will try to rip you off and spin shit to you. He'll sell you whatever he has in stock (which isn't much anyway!). Lambros doesn't know shit about Jap cars, you bring him a car with your problem and he looks it up on the internet and says 'ohh i'll have to find out give me two days'. They are slow workers as well. One time i was there and this guy rocked up with an r32. He had booked it in for a Dyno session. I was waiting there, and they just ****ed around with his car for like an hour, and then said na na they weren't going to do the dyno for no reason. The asian bloke who owned the r32 jumped in his car and pissed off. I had went down to get something simple like an exhaust changed , booked an appointment and i had to wait about 3-4 hours. No one has heard of L.A performance because there has been no good work coming out of that workshop. Places like ICE, Racepace, Genesis - people spread the word about the great level of work and QUALIFIED mechanics working magic on people's cars. My two cents - take your car somewhere reputable, where the ppl know their shit. You pay a few extra bucks - but believe me your car is worth it.

gambling is pure luck. The odds are always against you. If you win, then you had good luck. If you lost, then you lost because thats how the odds were weighed up against you in the first place. Any of these so called theories etc do not work and are a load of sh!t. With roulette, the wheel is spinning, and so is the ball. Big deal if you can get it within 3 numbers either side of what you were aiming for. The way the numbers are arranged on the roulette wheel counteracts this. If your so good at it and you can win so much; why dont you go into the casino every day and clean them out??? I doubt you would get bored of making money. Generally if you walk in with a lot of money and you dont even need to win, thats the times you win. When i walk in with little money trying to double/triple it, i end up losing out. Your better off not getting involved with it unless you have plenty of money and you are the type like that can go in and lose a certain set amount, and walk away, and thats pretty hard for 99% of people!

The only way you will get rid of it quickly is to sell it dirt cheap. I advertised on carpoint & unique cars. Advertised the car for 17K, I was looking for 15K because i wanted to get rid of it quickly because of financial troubles. Had a few tyre kickers and ppl wanting to drive it etc. I personally think that 15 was far too cheap, because i purchased the car a year ago for 22K. It was quite a nice example of a r33. Eventually sold it to a mate for 15K. Lost out bigtime! I'm never buying another skyline again. The fines/canaries/epa's drove me insane. The car was nice but the running cost of up to 300+ bux a week in petrol was bullshit. The car depreciated hard in one year and because of all the bad publicity etc ppl dont' want to buy them unless its shit cheap. Prepare to lose out. Thats all i can say. But put it this way. The longer you hold onto your car, the more you will lose out again. you might as well sell it now. R33 will fetch you probably 14-17K for a mildly modified model. good luck.
