  1. borrow some wheels off ur mates (hopefully they have some tread left on their tyres!) or borrow some stockies off someone and pop them on.
  2. sounds to me like your clutch isn't dissengaging fully, or 'dragging'. This is causing your crunching when changing gears because the clutch is sticking and not fully lifting off. Get your clutch point taken up (fairly simple you can do this yourself). If you are due for a gbox oil change throw in some castrol vmx80 + nulon g70 treatment. Whats the condition of your clutch like? do you think it might be due for a replacement/worn out? Same thing happened to my clutch, changed gearbox oil etc but turned out to be a wasted clutch even thought it wasn't slipping, just dragging.
  3. yeah u can get problems with guys not wanting to pay up; in this case its simple. Just let us know that he wont pay up so we can organise as many ppl as possible to rock up outside his house and smash his fkn teeth in......
  4. dont get anything less than a GTT, they are 2.5 ltr turbo.
  5. brings a tear to the eye....
  6. that f*cking sucks man. My cars been broken into b4 aswell, they did a nice job on my door....$1200 to fix (new door + painted). You were unlucky with that knob smashing into you, keep on the guy and make sure you get ur fkn cash. Speaking of accidents a few weeks ago going to work, driving down springvale rd towards the eastern fwy. I'm driving along at 70 (speed limit is 80), there was a bit of traffic. I come over this hill (which is a bit of a blind hill, if you are driving along at 80 and you drive up the hill and just as you get over the crest all of a sudden you see down the hill and there were all these cars banked up), and there are heaps of cars banked up, i had to apply some firmish braking - nothing to make the wheels screetch but firm. While braking i look into my rear view just to make sure no1 was up my arse. all clear. 10 seconds later i hear wheels screetching....shit...i look into my rear view, i see some bitch in a little hyundai who flew over the hill, braked hard obiviously and was coming skidding towards my car. I look infront, no room to move. I look back into the rear view, and something miraculous happened. This bitch was about 10 metres from going right up my arse and another car comes smashing up her arse, knocking her at a right angle into the next lane and onto oncoming traffic in the next lane. BANG! the hyundai got T-boned by a car in the other lane, the hyundai ending up on the grass embankment. Obiviously the car that was going ot rear end me was skidding and she locked up the wheels, she must of tried to turn and it did nothing, but when she got rear ended by the other car it knocked her at a right angle narrowly avoiding my rear end. F*CK!!!! I thought. It wasn't over yet. The other chick that had come to my aid my rear ending the other bitch in the hyundai and putting her onto the embankment was now heading straight into my rear end! The front of the car was all f*cked up and smashed. I thought shit shit..i look infront, the traffic just started to move so i dropped the **** outta the clutch and launched it. I take another look in the rear view, looking at the carnage. 1 car on the grass embankment, and another 2 cars messed up. All the traffic at the top of the hill is just stopped. Luckily not being involved in the accident, and late for work, i drive off. F*cking hyundai drivers, 1 hyundai driver = 3 smashed cars.
  7. looks like i'll be heading back down there soon......i wasted those pzero 285's i had on the rears! Great tyres but the tyres wore away pretty quick, i imagine they were just made of a softer compound.....hrmm perhaps i just ripped em up too hard....its really hard to say looking back! Great grip off em though!
  8. revhead - nice....thats what i wanted to see. I'll give it a try on mine
  9. Hey all, Just wondering if anyone has successfully or has attempted to hack out the front of a r33 S1 front bar after popping in a FMIC and how did it go? I know the Mspec/S2 one you cut out the middle bit and it looks real nice with the cooler all exposed - just wondering if you can do the same with a S1 bar? I've had a look at it but i want to see if anyone has tried it yet b4 i give it a go and end up needing a new front bar lol.
  10. Ait - excellent thanks for the info on that shop, i'll check it out tmrw. I just returned from Bintan island today, man i got sunburned hardcore over the last 4 days! nice place. and sim lim square? i'm staying right across the road from it! my bro just bought a computer b4 coming to singapore and he was spewin when he saw the prices here....poor bastard! I went lookin thru sim lim square (the big computer market) to see if i could find any other electronics goodies i.e. apexi PFC! No luck unfortunately!
  11. Mate i think the cochroaches here have turbo's on em.....you see em in the street at night and they are f*cking lightning quick.....u try to boot em and they scurry off in a flash. They have a yellow stripe on them too...big mutha****as....one of the locals told me the yellow is the speed stripe and tehy are quicker than the conventional black ones haha
  12. c*nts are always flipping the rexies....
  13. inasnt - hrmm depends certain things are expensive. I found the designer clothes (gucci/versace/prada) were the same price if not a bit more expensive, but you could expect this. I bought some sunglasses; i checked these out in sunglasses hut in melbourne and they were selling for $320. I was walking through suntec and found the same pair for $190...not so bad so i scooped em up. Diesel clothes are cheap up here, diesel shoes cost me $120 for the same pair i've seen selling for $280 odd in melbourne. Electronics and things are marginally cheaper, for example a nokia phone selling for $640 in melbourne you can pick up here for about $500. Taxis and getting around is cheap. Eating is cheaper but you can spend some serious cash - went to raffles restaurant....its bout $30-50AUD for a course, the servings are miniscule, and you'd probably have to have about 5-6 courses to be full. We bailed out after about 3 courses and headed to the pancake parlour lol. heading off to Bintan resort island over the next few days....hopefully the rain holds off and i dont get swept away in some sort of monsoonal downpour! I guess also with going anywhere overseas it really depends on the exhange rate your getting...the aussie dollar isn't so bad at the moment but with USD or pound u'd be laughing.
  14. martydaman- hehe yes orchard road is a very bad place! it was there that i blew the most cash! Things are a bit cheaper, a lot of on the spot 'oh its so cheap! must buy' but on return to the hotel you realise that you haven't really saved that much and you've spent too much! the money is like monopoly money over here. I'm staying on a place called the Bencoolen residence, its about 3 stops away on the MRT from orchard road. Been to sentosa island, very nice but the humidity killed me and after a few hours i was moaning and groaning to go back into the comfort of my air conditioned room. I went to this new place called 'snow city' today which is an indoor snow thingo, about the size of two basketball courts. stepped from 30 degrees outside into -5C, stayed in there for an hour. Back outside into the heat. Felt a bit lightheaded for the next few hours! 6pistons - Yes i've noticed the guys up here like going for cruises at nighttime when its more quiet on the roads apart from the STI's which were having great fun the other day busting the blow off valves at any chance they got! (much like a lot of you vic blokes yer? hehe) I'm not on a business trip thank god, my parents work up here this is the first time i've been up here since they have started working up here so we'll see coming up here might become a more regular thing. yeah the food up here is great, a nice selection and depending where you go the prices can be really good value! I've been guilty of pigging out at various places, the maccas is definately a no-no because for the same price in AUD you get twice as much! And yes the sweaty balls has been a problem havent managed to overcome that one yet...no chaffing luckily haha f*ck i type too much....sorry for the essay guys
  15. yeah the humidity is a pain in the arse....the air is wet! when it rains it doesnt cool down...just gets more sticky! i've been here a week so i'm starting to get used to it but its a drainer...after walking around all day browsing the 10 billion shopping centres come the night ur knackered! 2 mins outside and your already starting to sweat. i've already blown my 2 weeks spending money.....its a terrible place here! you go for a walk and end up buying something or other that 'was a deal too good to walk past'. Nice place none the less, got another week then back to melbourne. I'm a bit pissed off because you guys are apparently getting good weather in vic at the moment...just my luck! as soon as i leave all the good weather comes! Its been hot here but everyday its rained in the afternoon. With the r34 gtr i imagined the car+ORC would be some ridiculous figure......what about some of the AMG mercs or BMW 7 series that are rolling around on stupidly big rims?
  16. hey all, I'm currently in singapore on holiday. Up here for a $40K car, you need to pay about 100K in taxes to get it onto the road because the government discourages people buying cars and wants them to use the MRT (light rail) system. Anyhows, lots of average cars around. Before coming here i was wondering what jap cars they would have here; anyone owning a regular car would be pretty well off and anyone with a nice jap car (skyline/rex/evo etc) would definately have to be in some serious money. 2 days ago walking down the road i hear a noise....a very familiar noise -HKS SSQV BOV! i look behind me to see a blue WRX STI booting it past...nice i thought, this STI was followed by another blue STI ripping SSQV aswell - made me feel right at home! last nite on the way to zouk one of the local clubs i was at an intersection, and something caught the corner of my eye...straight away i recognised this thing in the corner of my eye as a front badge of a GTR, turned out to be a black r34 gtr, sick deep dish rims. Thats the only skyline i've seen here so far, otherwise only a handful of STI's (about 10 odd) and about 2 normal WRX's. I've seen a couple of civic's with extendable spoilers/fully stickered etc. The laws up here are tighter than a crabs arse - u can get fined for jay walking ($100), littering ($500-2000), smoking in a non smoking zone ($500-2000). The speed limits are pretty tame - 50km/h around most streets. Majority of the cops are in plain clothes too! so you never know where the cops are. Smoking a ciggie on the balcony of the hotel room I caught a glance at a EVO 6 booting the f*ck outta it down the road, the blow off busting on every gear change. i guess no matter how strict the rules are you still get the hoons! oh well nothing interesting really i thought i'd type something cuz i'm bored in the hotel room and its pissing down rain and i miss my car!
  17. predator, excellent. Thanks for the info. They can fix and return shocks in about a week. it will cost $137.50 per shock, and depending on the damage on them, like if the shaft is rooted, can cost up to $300 each to fix. I'll have to send em up and see how it goes. thanks guys!
  18. Hey all, I'm pretty sure my rear passenger side tein shock has stuffed up; the car now slightly leans to the side where i think the fkt shocker is, and the other rear side is higher than it was before. Anyone got any idea how much it will cost to repair or know anywhere that can do it? Cheers!
  19. genor8r, thats just plain bad luck - believe me you have my sympathy. I am also amongst the percentage of skyline owners that have been reemed 'leb stylez' unfortunately! I stakked my car first day in, $4K damage - pissing down rain, locker diff like u...1 bar boost, and tyres FLAT bald from the last owner and i just started driving manual. going about 70km/h I thumped it back into 2nd, floored it and the road was on a bit of a slope and the car just flicked around in a half second, and started doing 360's. Luckily i was doing the 360's and still going down the middle of the road and spun off most of the speed. I clipped a bus stop and all the glass from the bus stop exploded and shattered everywhere. The car must of done about 4 or 5 360's. Pretty lucky escape considering it could have went straight into a pole and totalled the car or more importantly could have injured myself or my mate. I guess with the damage to your car with the steering/wheel it could have been a lot worse like front ending the car etc so think of it as getting off lightly. Good luck fixing your car hope it doesnt cost too much.
  20. lollllll geriatrics loll
  21. you have probably done this already, but check fuses. Failing that if its an external pump locate it, give it a fkn smack. try starting up again. they get jammed, i guess this can happen as a result of a mechanical problem or from running the tank right near empty and its sucked in a whole load of crap.
  22. lolllllllllllll
  23. Sorry didn't read this guys post - yeah agreed, these guys are acting like they are doing some stage 3 weight reduction by installing lightweight 'wheel bolts'
  24. bahhh lightweight wheel nuts.....big deal you will only save a few grams. $150? stuff that. Buy regular wheel nuts and spend the remainder on something that will actually help your car (e.g a strut bar)
  25. Sorry for not being clear, i was in a bit of a hurry. The beep i'm refering to is the one where you have a door open and the key in the ignition. With regards to the speed limit beep - i'm not sure because my s1 r33 gts-t doesnt have it.
