  1. The way i see it, its just another item that has to be put back on before EPA!
  2. What is the most RWKW that can be achieved safely from stock R33 GTS-T internals?? I am going to change the hi-flow turbo for a HKS unit and pop on some injectors, ECU etc - but I dont have enough in my budget to do the internals. I'm only guessing but say 250rwkw can be done on stocks? What are some RWKW figures people here are running with stock internals? Can you get away without doing all the internals or is it possible to replace certain weak parts? (e.g. upgrade pistons, camshafts, leave everything else stock) Would appreciate some feedback Cheers! : - )
  3. 1. If ur gonna smoke a blunt blow the smoke out the friggin window 2. take all ur wrappers and shit with u instead of lettin em pile up so i gotta clean out my car again 3. no fkn leaning on my car with ur jeans studs denting and scratching the **** outta my side panels
  4. from 3rd into fourth gets a bit of a light notch occasionally now. All the other gears are fine, before it was notching into every gear......hence the shitload of metal shavings on the drainer plug magnet. That castrol VMX80 + nulonG70 is like versace for your gearbox.......i noticed the difference straight away
  5. Hrmm so you'll hit 4.5-5K and its like the rev limiter is set at that rpm and you cant boot it anymore? does it happen intermittently? or occasionally? Perhaps an ECU reset might do the trick if you are running standard ECU? unplug battery to do this.
  6. Is it a popping noise? how quickly does it happen (pops per second?)
  7. I'm going to purchase a new turbo. I was thinking the HKS T04E - however i'm unsure if this is a top mount or low mount turbo? I want something low mount. What size injectors to match? 550? 740's?
  8. Hey, Too bad - in future if you see cops busting u turns / on the side of the road pulled over even with another car - make sure you floor the **** outta it. With the exhaust noise, this isn't something vicroads can test, they dont even have a DB tester; the noise level is something that is tested by EPA - if you have this on your defect you will most likely cop one of the following- 1) Letter from EPA saying you must take your car to a licenced exhaust noise tester, they test your exhaust and if it passes they fax the results into epa for you. 2) You get a letter from EPA statiing that on such and such day at a certain time you must present your car to one of their testing facilities where they will test emissions and noise levels of your car. With the fines its tough titties unfortunately, dont worry though u get used to them after a while.
  9. Thats too bad son he's a fkn knob. QUOTE ()got done by Pettett yesterday, got defected Epa, fine for driving a restricted vehicle (on p's) and a fine for a unroadworthy car, and if i get caught driving my car again i gotta go to court. i was driving fine but he was being a prick and pulled me over, didnt even get breathalised, i know hes probably reading this as he told me he does, so Pettett and your buddies shouldnt you doing real cop work like catching thieves, busting ganags actually make vic a safer place to live in rather than just pull people over that aren't driving badly. i know im not allowed to drive it, i admit, but i dont drive bad and i only boost it up when LEGALLY dragging
  10. There was quite a bit of metal shavings on the magnet, about a the size of a small marble. There were a couple of metal chunks - according to the mechanic these were bits of the synchro (whoops!) Getting the clutch point taken up some time back would have prevented this - its a classic case of not letting something go when there is a problem and getting it fixed as soon as possible. It changes nice and smooth at the moment, there is no more forcing the gearstick into gear, it just glides into place. The clutch is wasted so i'll replace the clutch i'm thinking about a xtreme single plate ceramic sprung clutch? I'm having a few thoughts about which clutch to choose; I'd love a twin plate but they are just so expensive! I'll drop in a new clutch and see how the gearbox holds up and if it packs it in looks like i'm up for a replacement (yay more money!!!!)
  11. Thanks for the help so far guys. Got the gearbox oil changed, there was a shit load of metal chunks/shavings stuck on the gearbox drain plug magnet. Not good! May be down for new Gearbox, we'll ahve to see Popped in Castrol VMX80 + Nulon G70. Also got clutch point moved up, apparently the clutch was not disengaging properly. Shifts fine now, very smooth, its never been this smooth in the year that i've had this car. Pity the clutch is rooted and you have to lift the pedal about 3/4 way before it engages! i'm down for a new clutch now. Thanks for the help guys! :-)
  12. ok the clutch master cylinder fluid level is on max so no probs there. Will try gearbox oil change with nulon treatment and hope for the best!
  13. Hrmm haven't checked.......where abouts do i find the clutch master cylinder?? I've had a search and cant find anything Clutch feels ok, doesnt' slip but yeah its definately copped a pounding, lots of launches/flat changes
  14. Hi all, Got a bit of a prob with my gearbox, its notching in like everygear. It will shift ok here and there but majority of the time its notching. You can clutch in and clutch out and it will still sorta crunch, after a few goes of pumping the clutch it eventually goes in. I was gonna try some gearbox oil with nulon treatment in the hope this would help, however i couldn't get the filler plug out! (lucky i didn't drain the oil!) Anyone got any tips for getting the bastard out? What I am wondering is anyone that has experienced this before - it is even worthwhile changing the gearbox oil or is it time to thump in a new gearbox? Any1 know what a decent second hand gearbox will set me back? I know my clutch is on the way out sooner or later too....got rego and insurance coming up......this is gonna fkn cost.......
  15. You could try Technic Tuning, they are in fairfield so that is nice and near to you. My mate takes his car there all the time and hasn't had any issues.
  16. would you be able to use some of that red gasket sealant paste (the reddy/orangy one) around the bottom of the bolt, pop it in and hopefully seal the leak?
  17. I've read through a lot of coil pack problem threads and i have a question - i am experiencing popping up at high revs on 1 bar boost, it was fine but it started happening all of a sudden. It happens over 5500 rpm, under load - the popping happens a couple of times per second. My mate had the same problem and took it somewhere and they replaced all his coil packs. What i was wondering is to identify the problem coil packs - is it safe to unplug one, take the car for a run and see if the popping stops? That way i could see which coil pack(s) are to blame? Just a thought.
  18. Yeah those clamps look a lot more robust than the bodgy standard hose clamps i have at the moment. I tried a few hardware places and couldn't find any, i guess i'll check somewhere like ENZED and see if they stock them, i believe they deal just with hoses/connections etc. Does anyone know where i can get some of these in melbourne? Thanks
  19. Hi All, My cooler piping keeps on blowing off, and its great fun everytime cuz u get to pull over and get ur hands filthy putting it back on again, especially when its dark and ur on the side of the freeway with cars coming past at 100km/h almost swiping ur arse off while ur busy under the bonnet trying to the the pipes clamped up again! Anyone know where i can get some hardcore hose clamps from? I got the standard hose clamps but since i started running some boost they always pop off. Had a look at autobarn and they didnt have shit ( i wasn't really expecting them to have what i needed anyway ) Cheers Billy.

    lol
  22. I have a trust/greddy sidemount including piping for sale in the for sale section. It is a dual core cooler, fitting into the stock area. Never gets problems from cops or epa here is the link. You may find it cheaper buying my unit opposed to buying a new one cuz they are just as much as a front mount new. If you are interested PM me an offer, i've already got a few bids and i'll sell it to the highest.
  23. Dob-in-a-hoon? bah this is all just hype around what happened with the skyline crash. Wait a few weeks and all will be forgotten.......otherwise we are all ****ed.
