  1. Tony INASNT didnt start right at the start he already had cooler / zorst and stuff
  2. You hope I seriously suggest you speak to someone about rolling past 250rwks on standard bottom end.
  3. And dont remove the controller just hide it / tuck it up under dash. You can leave the solenoid in the engine bay. Without lines going to it they prolly wont know what it is.
  4. But you gotta remember that every time you get more power you get bored... Never ending quest for power...
  5. Meh why bother, arguing is more fun
  6. Sydneykid - Yeah my car. But my turbo originally had a GT30 COmp cover and centre with std turbine housing profiled for a GT30 rear wheel and it would not go past 200rwkws without pinging its tits off. Once i changed to 0.82 A/R housing no pinging 250rwkw.
  7. Your standard turbine housing will not let you flow enough gases to push past 200 rwkws. Sorry better explain... When they profile the housing to the wheel they are only opening up a small part of the housing, the actual size of the standard R33 turbo scroll is absolutely s**t house. I dont think hi-flow is a very good option for 250rwkw... Dremen if you are interested in going a GT30 i can FAX you a dyno plot, the reason why i cant post is coz i dont have a scanner.
  8. LOL Ok i was lying. Dont use the GT30, its shit. People on this forum ask ****ing questions, people who have already done the upgrades answer the questions. Then some know it all **** like you calls us liars. What do i have to gain by lieing about a GT30 turbo? Dont waste peoples ****ing time when they are trying to help you.
  9. Im not wasting my time proving a point in an argument on a forum.
  10. Look man to be honest i dont give two shits whether anyone believes it or not. The GT30 that i have on my car spools nice and quick. Garrett Australia rate my turbo at 500hp. I dont see how you can argue with me unless of course you have a GT30 on your line? Which you dont... so just take my word for it Hey maybe even try one for your buildup, they are a good turbo then you might believe me

I need an AFM that will suit PowerFC... why what you got?
  12. Rated at 500hp Full boost at 3500
  13. For your research here ya go (my turbo specs) Its pretty small for a GT30 (Dash 11 Centre) Comp Wheel 2.17in Inducer 3.00in Exducer Turbine Wheel 2.11in Inducer 2.22in Exducer Comp Housing 0.70 a/r Turbine Housing (Mine is not standard) 0.82 a/r Seems to go good.
  14. Could also go a Garrett GT30, ive had good experiences with this. I dont know how it would compare with 2540 but it is a bit bigger. Also around 2100. Same flange as standard turbo, only stuff required is turbine housing with wastegate (Or external), oil / water lines, dump pipe, and spacer / studs to push it away from std manifold.
  15. Sydneykid - Looks to me like hes got a cooler and an exhaust, that aint gonna help snapping rods or cracking pistons at 300rwkws As far as I know 250rwkws is your "safe limit" on std internals. 230 - 250 is realistic but i still reckon for 4000 its a little optimistic (noone has budgetted in the extras that always seem to crop up half way through a project) Edit: I stopped at 245rwkws on my std rb25 on the advice of my tuner, I cant imagine the standard 25 rods would last too well at 300rwkws from what i have seen of them. They arent very big...
  16. Rev210 Are you serious? 300rwkws for 4 grand. Anyone who goes down this road is gonna have a motor that lasts a week. 1 thing ive learnt with these cars is DONT CUT ****ING CORNERS! Be realistic and dont go building a half assed car.. Make sure you do it properly
  17. FAT32 you blocked your standard BOV off? Or running an aftermarket?
  18. you can only go as low as the wastegate diaphram and spring will go. If standard you are stuck at minimum of 5psi. In terms of gain / ratios every car would be different i reckon.
  19. I dont think they are, compare the size of the turbo scroll nozzle compared to the size of 1 single runner on a std mainfold. All it would help is spool.
  20. I dont think its that restrictive compared to a turbo scroll

Whats the going price? Where can I get one? any details be good, cheers KM
  22. If FC says injectors then i reckon it might be your injectors Just drop the tuning back down a little bit till the light stops coming on. Alternatively put new fuel system in, your call But your tuners obviously not the most cluey FC guy considering he bags em? FCs kick ass My 2 cents Oh and i know a lot of AFMS peak at different points but for the record mine still ok at 250rwkws only hit voltage ceiling for last 500-750 rpm.
  23. Grepin: Stock injectors NO (RX7 550ccs) Stock Internals YES (But not for long) I bought a GT30 Front housing (0.70 A/R) GT30 CHRA (Dash 11 Core) and a ARB 0.82 A/R Turbine Housing Then threw it all together. This turbine housing has a large flange built on to the top of it so you can pipe an external gate onto it without having to **** around with manifolds. I went a 45mm PSR wastegate. This setup on my std rb25det pulled 250rwkws at 17 pounds. In terms of max boost, the turbo can run up to about 25 pounds whilst still being efficient i believe.
  24. 250 rwkws about the limit of stock bottom end reliability wise, also your AFM peaks at 250. I can tell you now that a gt30 (500hp) will definitely get 250rwkws. Speaking from experience. But that was with an external gate.
  25. optimax aint bad for plugs. Std ECU and higher boost is... HELLLOOOOOOO CARBONN DEPOSITS
