My car died a few weeks ago and am now in the process of working out what to do... engine rebuild is definatly nessacery, ran too much boost through the engine:( current engine mods are: - 3in. exhaust - front mount cooler, unsure of exact dimensions - EBC - Mines chipped ecu (maby the cause of the whole problem) - Greddy oil cooler - Greddy plumback BOV What im doing is putting on a HKS 2535, want to be able to run 20 psi throught it. and as far as im aware, ill probably need... - forged pistons (what is a good/cheap brand?) - GTR (or simmilar) fuel pump - Power FC - Injectors and fuel pressure regulator Couple of questions... what sort of injectors can i fit straight in without needing to make a custom fuel rail? or how do i go about getting a fuel rail made? How much generally is it to get the Power FC tuned? were gonna be taking the car out to alice springs (no speed limits:)) when its finished, is there anything i should be carefull of in regard to tuning with this in mind? Im looking for around 250 RWKWs out of the engine when it's finished, do i have to upgrade the injectors, ive heard both yes and no... ive budgeted around $8000 for the whole thing, is this about right? any help would be appreciated. By the way, went into a local workshop the other day and explained my situation to the guy, told him i wanted around 250RWKWs. He quickly told me that it wasnt worth doing and it would cost me around $30,000. Then i asked him about the RB30/25 conversion, to which he replied, "not worth doing mate, last guy who tried that, ended up costing them around $300,000!!!!". What a load of shit eh?

Any luck fixing ur powerband as yet SeriesIIGTST? This same turbo is going on my car in the next couple of weeks, and im hoping their might be a cheaper solution than going power fc:) -
sorry if this is maby getting a bit of topic, but how accurate are those G-Tech things, measuring 0-100, 100-0, 1/4 mile time, power and torque even...? if they are, $500 isn't too bad

urrrr.... sorrry ok i know this question has been asked before but i just need to clarify... me and a mechanic mate are rebuilding my engine, and putting on a new turbo. Seems the most popular choise is an HKS 2530... i want to be getting around the 230-250RWKW mark out of it. What exactly will i need to run this turbo? As far as i'm aware it will bolt straight? Can i use an s-afc or do i need something like a power FC? obviously injectors need to be upgraded, but do i need a new fuel pump? I want it to be reliable and so i'd rather do everything properly. finally, what sort of money would i be looking at? any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi all, i have a slightly damadged Recaro seat sitting at home, my car is awaiting a rebuild, and i want to get into a standard seat again. It's non-reclinable, small tear on LH side where its been scrapped getting in and out of. Will do a straight swap for a standard driver's seat if anyone is interested...

K ive done a bit of a search and looked at that thread below, but it's kind of different to my question and i didn't want to bombard his thread, so anywayz... The engine on my car has died, so me and the old man are gonna pull it out and rebuild it from the bottom up, so if anyone could help me with these questions, would be appreciated. 1.can comeone give me a quick rundown of everything i need to dissconnect/undo to be able to pull the engine out? 2. we are probably gonna put in a slightly bigger turbo, depending on how things go and was also thinking of doing an RB30 conversion. How dificult would this be? would i be up for alot cost wise? exactly what parts do i need? Thanks in advance

Cannon muffler - Front mount cooler - Apexi 3 stage EBC - Aftermarket chip (not sure what sort) - Greddy Turbo Timer - Recaro bucket seat - Short shift Kit - 18 chrome deep dish wheels - whitline lowered suspension and camber kit - Stereo consisting of 6 stacker cd player, tweeters, 6inch speakers front and rear, equalizer, amp and two 12in. subs. - calsonic radiator and fan - Greddy oil cooler, remote oil filter - Greddy recirculating BOV - Strut braces front and rear - Boost guage - Oil temp. guage - sunroof - Carbon fibre bonnet Car runs extremly well, VERY clean car(seriously). will supply with original bonnet as well. yeah ive been running it on 10psi since it happened, but shouldn't i be able to run 14psi with a front mount ok?

My car has a front mount and EBC and ive noticed latley that it's pinging a fair bit at 14psi... is that just cause were coming into summer and the air is hotter? its also happened to my mates' 33 and 32, only recently happened... how do i get around this? (don't say wind down the boost:))

mechanics couldn't find any problems with it, but at the moment car is running well. after driving around on stock boost all week, i put it up to ten last night and raced my mate. Car runs good as gold, does not seem to be any problems any more which is strange... also just after i got the car i had a turbo manifold gasket replaced. mechanics never said anything wrong with turbo... anyway ill see how i go

ahhh.... good... that sounds nice and expensive. The car still seems to perform pretty well tho. is this one of those things that if i ignore it'll eventually go away??? seriously, is it safe to drive it?
