  1. Well unfortunately I have to part with this car after only having it for a short time I have another project taking over my whole shed which I really want to get a move on with so the R30 will need to go to fund that. Link to for sale thread here. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/422839-sa-1982-r30-w-r32-rb20det/
  2. Hi all, I haven't had this car very long at all but I have another project which I really want to finish and need some cash to do it, so here it is: Make/Model: 1982 R30 Skyline Engine: R32 RB20DET Kms: App. 160,000km on dash Mods: R32 GTS-t front calipers and R33 GTS rotors with new pads. HR31 front struts. Z31 rear end. DR30 dash cluster, seats and tail lights. Resprayed in R33 GT-R silver. Heavy duty clutch. Big but well hidden front mount cooler. Some sort of bosch fuel pump. 3" exhaust. 16" rims. Pioneer CD player and 6X9s. Also have a spare diff and driveshafts as the one in it has a little bit of play. It hasn't got any worse so I haven't bothered changing it out. Car is in reasonable condition, paint could do with a buff and it has a few small dents and scratches. But for someone with a little bit of time on their hands it won't take much to clean right up. I just have a car stripped to pieces all over my shed so my priority right now is to sort that out. I have been using it to run to work and back and have not had an issue with it, this RB20 runs even smoother than the R32 I used to have. I have this advertised on gumtree for $4k, looking for offers somewhere around that area. Feel free to shoot me an offer, just don't bother lowballing me. Rego runs out towards the end of this month, if I get a good offer I will chuck on another 3 months rego. These R30s are getting harder and harder to find in good condition, believe me I was looking for a while before I found this one. I can be contacted on 0423 464 288, SMS probably better during business hours. Cheers, Dwayne
  3. Haha cool as, would love to get mine even halfway as low as yours. Although it should probably wait til it is registered with the RB20...
  4. Looking awesome mate! What suspension are you running? What engine is in it?
  5. R33 GTS discs, 280mm X26mm (exactly the same as R32 GTS-t but already drilled as 4 stud). Got them brand new for just over $100 delivered, on sale on eBay through RDA. All of it fit like a glove
  6. Got a little bit busy yesterday arvo. http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u657/dwayne293/3149311B-F21C-44D1-A914-4CC0188369A7-108-000000006EA55597_zps74bc05b4.jpg R32 GTS-t calipers and R33 GTS rotors. Just need some pads and should be right to go. Thanks to ydr030 for the tip on removing the olive, was a simple swap.
  7. Well I only picked this one up about a week ago so no trouble yet But I did have one about 9 years ago now and even then bits weren't exactly readily available. A lot of things work though. Engine, driveline and suspension is similar to old z's and a lot of R31 parts fit. Mine has an RB20 so no problem with engine parts either.
  8. Awesome Steve keep us posted mate
  9. Ah sweet thanks. Will measure up the rotors that are on there now as it appears to be hr struts and possibly rotors but some pathetic little calipers. Bummer about the tacho, might have to try and rip the guts of of a 32 tacho and make it work. Hmmm
  10. Cheers ydr30, yours looks insane! Yeah I can't seem to find much info on converting the tacho signal, have read a bit about using a resistor but no idea if it will work or not. Aftermarket seems to be the go but I will leave that until I have the thing registered with the RB20. Previous owner gave me a set of R32 GTS-t callipers. Anyone know if these are a straight fit on the HR31 struts, using the HR31 rotors? Not sure on the differences between HR31 and R32 rotors...
  11. Sorry was meant to say what engine you have lol. Good old iPhone autocorrect
  12. Hi Kev, Pretty sure all of the L6's use the same clutch. If you ring a clutch place and tell them what winging you have it won't be a problem. I never had a problem when I had my L20ET and that was a lot rarer around here than the L24.
  13. Forgot to take measurements of my intercooler today but took a couple of pics. Not too much to see, inlet and outlet on the same side which is a good setup. Still have a lot of tidying up to do in the engine bay. Little bits of rust in the usual area at the strut towers, underneath the battery too but that will be an easy one.
  14. Cheers Steve, Will go through the whole car and see what interior bits I need, pretty much everything looks ratty. Will try and get a photo of my intercooler tonight. Air conditioning condenser is no longer there (summer fun) so there is heaps of room between the bumper and radiator. Also found a pic of my old hatch.
  15. Hey all, It's been a long time but I am back into this section of the universe. Had an L20ET powered R30 hatch about 9 years ago, followed on by a 32 GTS-t. Just picked up another R30, this time with an RB20DET in it.A few of you may recognise it from years ago. Anyway, I plan to keep a log of what happens with this car as I don't plan to ever get rid of it. Crappy phone pic > https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_DpuEtI-j58WC12enlPY1dZaTQ/edit?usp=sharing Current mods are as follows: R32 RB20DET HR31 front suspension Z31 rear end DR30 front seats, tail lights and dash Big FMIC (bit well hidden which I like) 3" exhaust Bosch 040 or 044 pump - haven't investigated but its loud Resprayed in R33 GT-R silver a while ago (think its K4) Think that's about it Plans I have for it (extremely slow due to a fresh mortgage) Source the lower trim piece below the tail lights (the one I found was dented up) R200 LSD Coil overs (probably) Wide SSR or similar rims R32 4 pot brakes (already have them). Apparently a straight swap but we will see how that goes Get the DR tacho working with the RB20 - has anyone done this? Sort out the steering - has a clunk when about 1/3 from full lock and changing direction either way (any ideas?) Ditch the DR seats (drivers is in poor condition) and fit some old school recaros Clean up the rest of the interior. It has had gauges screwed into the dash, about six cracks along the top of the dash, half a power window conversion (I will just change back to winders). Need a lot of interior bits in grey. Change the front and rear bumpers to the later type. I have a rear bumper in good condition sitting in the shed. Anyone done this, and does it work or will I need to change the front 1/4 panels as well? Fill in the hole on the right hand side for the muffler outlet Front strut bar (don't know how clearance over the RB will go) Then some minor mods to the RB20 - R33 or 34 turbo, coil packs if needed but they are coping well at stock boost Will keep everyone posted and if anyone can help out with my questions or parts that will be awesome. Great to be back in R30 world
  16. Hey there, can you please change my username to dwayne293 Thanks heaps
  17. Hey mate it is actually a 1990 model.... I know because I owned it for a couple of years until last June Cheers Dwayne
  18. Selling it as I am buying a ute from a guy at work Havent had any major mechanical problems with it, clutch fork broke not long after I got it but apparently that is a common problem, clutch pedal bracket broke and that is also common, but apart from that is has been great. Not interested in a swap, sorry mate. More pictures up on the photobucket link now TUF-200, pm sent cheers dwayne
  19. a few pictures now up http://s243.photobucket.com/albums/ff185/PHOTON-XL/ cheers
  20. Hey all, Selling my 1990 R32 GTS-t 131000 km Manual Front mount intercooler R33 Series 2 turbo (fitted in february/march) Splitfire coilpacks (fitted in january) 3" exhaust with magnaflow cannon type muffler A'pexi pod filter Xtreme heavy duty clutch tie rod ends and steering rack boots replaced in february Pivot turbo timer Section coil over suspension front and rear height adjustable Blitz black light boost gauge Removed spoiler and holes filled in and painted Pioneer MP3 CD player Alpine front speakers Pioneer rear speakers The car has a damaged front bar due to an altercation with a fox earlier this year. The bar has paint chipped from it and scratches from sliding on the road. As a result, all mounting holes were ruined so it is now held on with cable ties.... The drivers side front quarter was also damaged a little, so both of these panels require repair/ replacement. The paintwork on the rest of the car is beginning to show its age as well, but far better than many I have seen. I have some pictures of the front bar and quarter panel, will try and post more of the whole car on the weekend Pictures can be found in my gallery on this site or click here Looking for $8500 Located One Tree Hill but willing to meet at a more suitable place for anybody PM me or post here if interested Cheers Dwayne
  21. I changed mine about 2 months ago - 1990 GTS-t -> Series 2 R33 turbo. I had the 24mm banjos and I also used the R33 compressor outlet elbow. Sort of on the same topic, where the hell can I find a turbo mount gasket (the one between turbo and exhaust manifold) as I had to recycle my old one and now it is blown
  22. Front bar SOLD! Cheers Paul. Dwayne
