Just an update....... The tie rod ends/ rack ends i bought from pedders were no good - taper on the bolt wasn't wide enough so they didn't even take up the slack in the knuckle, causing a lot of headache. I am now chasing the genuine Nissan part number for left and right rack ends if anybody can assist....

Gtr Strut Tower Brace
dwayne293 replied to rio228's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have a 32 GT-R strut bar on my 32 GTS-t..... As the GT-R inlet manifold is forward facing and the GTS-t crosses over the rocker cover, the strut bar used to slightly contact the highest point of the inlet (around the throttle body area) I used a die grinder and took a little bit off mine and it is now fine Hope that helps Dwayne -

R33 Gts-t Series 2 Turbo - Ball Bearing Centre?
dwayne293 replied to dwayne293's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Oh well hopefully should be good. I bought it for an upgrade for my 32 as my stock turbo is on the way out. This one is off a low km series 2 and in very good condition, minimal shaft play, no signs of any oil leaking past the seals. I am going to swap the actuators over and fit it, hopefully with good results -
R33 Gts-t Series 2 Turbo - Ball Bearing Centre?
dwayne293 replied to dwayne293's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Oh that sucks, hopefully the one I just bought is a series 1 then.... I will have a look when I get home and see if the comp wheel is plastic. Are the series 1 turbos still ball bearing type? Any noticable differences? Thanks again -

Plastic compressor wheel? is it really?? -
Hi all, A while back I stumbled across a thread where people had bought front tie rod ends from Pedders for thirty-odd bucks. I am just chasing some part numbers as the stores I have called (in Adelaide) don't reckon such a product exists. It was also stated that the R32 tie rod ends come in 2 sizes from Pedders. I assume GT-R and maybe GTS-4 must be different from GTS-t and GTS. I have taken some measurements of my tie rod ends as they don't have a part number stamped into them. Length from threaded end to centre of knuckle - 100mm Overall length - 120mm Apologies for the lack of pictures but I don't have a digital camera. Pedders part numbers preferred, but any part numbers will be extremely helpful Cheers Dwayne

How Much Psi Can Stock R32/r33 Bov Handle
dwayne293 replied to DFAULT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I blocked off the BOV on my 32 GTS-t just by making myself a new gasket similar to the mount one but without a hole in the middle, essentialy closing off the 'tee' into the inlet pipe. Tried it just to see what it would do, definitely picks up quicker, but i don't have the same jerkiness issues as you, Cubes. Either that or I haven't noticed haha. Until I find conclusive evidence that running no BOV causes turbo damage ( no I don't wish to start a war or we might as well call this forum ns.com) I will continue running it this way. I ran my R30 with no BOV day in day out at around 17psi boost for ages, it did over 200,000km and the turbo lasted longer than the piston rings, so meh my 2 cents anyway Dwayne -
yum yum.......... 34 GT-R. Welcome back, I too joined while you were on holidays from skylines. Hope you are enjoying the new one, obviously you are what a stupid thing to say haha Will be good to see another 34 GT-R out and about. Take it easy Dwayne

L20et - Building For 250kw+
dwayne293 replied to dwayne293's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Hmmm... Getting way too many headf**ks trying to find rings for this thing. Seriously contemplating using the L24 and just bolting on the L20 turbo gear. As far as I can tell everything bar the bore and stroke are pretty much the same so all the external components should work... All vacuum lines go to the same place, all anti pollution shit is the same so I think it would just be a matter of bolting on the gear. Will have to get a metal head gasket or decomp spacer made up though otherwise it won't handle the boost I'm gonna throw at it. In two minds about this shit I really want to stick with the L20 DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE PART NUMBERS OR A SUPPLIER OF L20(A)ET BEARINGS, GASKETS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY PISTON RINGS?????? I have tried everywhere but no luck so far. Please help me this is bordering on insanity
