  1. you have pm! cheers dwayne
  2. Just an update....... The tie rod ends/ rack ends i bought from pedders were no good - taper on the bolt wasn't wide enough so they didn't even take up the slack in the knuckle, causing a lot of headache. I am now chasing the genuine Nissan part number for left and right rack ends if anybody can assist....
  3. I have a 32 GT-R strut bar on my 32 GTS-t..... As the GT-R inlet manifold is forward facing and the GTS-t crosses over the rocker cover, the strut bar used to slightly contact the highest point of the inlet (around the throttle body area) I used a die grinder and took a little bit off mine and it is now fine Hope that helps Dwayne
  4. Hey mate, If your exhaust leak is pretty substantial you will have cold start problems.... My 32 GTS-t does it in the morning too, I just give it a quick rev Best of luck Dwayne
  5. haha just noticed that top photo too!! that is my shed floor and my shoe haha sorry for post whoring
  6. good to see my old parts being put to good use mate........ hope all goes well if you are after anything else i may or may not still have it i am still trying to sell the whole wreck i have cheers guys dwayne
  7. I got tie rod ends the other week through pedders for my 32 gtst havent got the part number on me now but go to the pedders website and have a dig around, you can view all components for skylines on the site. i think the part number was PTE+014 I got them for $34 each Hope that helps a bit Cheers Dwayne
  8. Oh well hopefully should be good. I bought it for an upgrade for my 32 as my stock turbo is on the way out. This one is off a low km series 2 and in very good condition, minimal shaft play, no signs of any oil leaking past the seals. I am going to swap the actuators over and fit it, hopefully with good results
  9. Oh that sucks, hopefully the one I just bought is a series 1 then.... I will have a look when I get home and see if the comp wheel is plastic. Are the series 1 turbos still ball bearing type? Any noticable differences? Thanks again
  10. Plastic compressor wheel? is it really??
  11. Hey all, just wondering whether the series 2 r33 gts-t centre is ball bearing or bush bearing type? also do they still use a ceramic turbine wheel or is it steel? thanks dwayne
  12. Hi all, A while back I stumbled across a thread where people had bought front tie rod ends from Pedders for thirty-odd bucks. I am just chasing some part numbers as the stores I have called (in Adelaide) don't reckon such a product exists. It was also stated that the R32 tie rod ends come in 2 sizes from Pedders. I assume GT-R and maybe GTS-4 must be different from GTS-t and GTS. I have taken some measurements of my tie rod ends as they don't have a part number stamped into them. Length from threaded end to centre of knuckle - 100mm Overall length - 120mm Apologies for the lack of pictures but I don't have a digital camera. Pedders part numbers preferred, but any part numbers will be extremely helpful Cheers Dwayne
  13. Ha ha funny to see this thread i started made it back to page 1 of this section. Ahhhhhhh the good old days, the sleeper r30..... My car is long dead now still sitting in the front yard, well what is left of it anyway. Brings a tear to my eye.........
  14. Knew I took a pic of my BOV block off gasket (for want of a better term) Apologies for inage size and quality... Oh yeah don't bother clicking on it to see it larger, AAAAAAHHHH PIXELS!!! Dodgy camera phones
  15. I blocked off the BOV on my 32 GTS-t just by making myself a new gasket similar to the mount one but without a hole in the middle, essentialy closing off the 'tee' into the inlet pipe. Tried it just to see what it would do, definitely picks up quicker, but i don't have the same jerkiness issues as you, Cubes. Either that or I haven't noticed haha. Until I find conclusive evidence that running no BOV causes turbo damage ( no I don't wish to start a war or we might as well call this forum ns.com) I will continue running it this way. I ran my R30 with no BOV day in day out at around 17psi boost for ages, it did over 200,000km and the turbo lasted longer than the piston rings, so meh my 2 cents anyway Dwayne
  16. yum yum.......... 34 GT-R. Welcome back, I too joined while you were on holidays from skylines. Hope you are enjoying the new one, obviously you are what a stupid thing to say haha Will be good to see another 34 GT-R out and about. Take it easy Dwayne
  17. 1990 GTS-t 3" turbo back exhaust A'pexi pod filter El Cheapo bleed valve set at 0.8 bar 159.9rwkw
  18. Hey mate nah it was definitely tie rod end, lucky you had already sold it as i bought another one from import garage today. Was feeling like a prick for not going through you but i couldnt get on the net at work so oh well all good.. Fitted the tie rod end and all sweeeeeeeet now. Car actually turns properly, doesn't jump all over the road and that annoying graunching noise when i turn is gone haha... lovin the 'line again. Cheers for your help anyway Dwayne

  20. Hey mate don't know if you are willing to seperate but i need ONE tie-rod end (Right Hand Side dont know if it is different to left) as mine collapsed on the way to work today and has a 'safety' zip tie holding it all together... Not pretty. Anyways if you will sell one to me, just reply here with a price and addy or Pm me, or even better SMS me -0423464288. Thanks Dwayne

  22. No worries man I know how it gets haha.. I got a mate of mine who works at repco over here to do a massive search on the database but he couldn't find anything, told me to come back and see him when i get your part numbers..... Oh yeah for those who haven't seen my car before, this is what it looked like around a year and a ahalf ago when she was all sweet Cheers Dwayne
  23. Thanks heaps stagefumer if you could get me some part numbers for gasket kit/ head gasket, piston rings, main bearings and big end bearings that would be awesome! I don't care if they have to come from NZ I just wish someone here would help me. Hmmmm, hoping mine is an early L20 will check engine number may give me some clue. Thanks again Dwayne
  24. Hmmm... Getting way too many headf**ks trying to find rings for this thing. Seriously contemplating using the L24 and just bolting on the L20 turbo gear. As far as I can tell everything bar the bore and stroke are pretty much the same so all the external components should work... All vacuum lines go to the same place, all anti pollution shit is the same so I think it would just be a matter of bolting on the gear. Will have to get a metal head gasket or decomp spacer made up though otherwise it won't handle the boost I'm gonna throw at it. In two minds about this shit I really want to stick with the L20 DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE PART NUMBERS OR A SUPPLIER OF L20(A)ET BEARINGS, GASKETS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY PISTON RINGS?????? I have tried everywhere but no luck so far. Please help me this is bordering on insanity
