Hey guys, I thought i should post in here even though i thought i did earlier..... Oh well maybe in the pages of lost information... I have an 85 oz spec hatch L20ET dropped in, supra fmic, 2.5" Turbo back exhaust, K&N pod, Wolf 3D ECU with hand controller, Koni street-special height adjustable shocks, don't know what else hahha... I have a couple of questions for the L20 gurus, Will the L24E head gasket fit on my engine? ie, is the L24 larger bore or stroke? I have burnt an exhaust valve out due to shitty tuning causing detonation and need to find a head gasket so I can fix it.... Also, are the valves the same as the L24, or for that matter, any other engine? Had my car dynoed at work when it dropped the cylinder with the burnt calve (well 30psi compression is a dropped cylinder to me) and it made 135rwkw on 1 bar so I guess the L20ET is pretty slow... Lastly, does enyone know of anywhere in Adelaide that knows anything about the L20????? Thanks for listening to me rant and rave, great thread getting close to 2000 posts... Later Dwayne

It is a 1985 Skyline Hatch with the L20ET engine 5 Speed manual Wolf 3D Computer + Hand Controller Supra FMIC Bleed Valve VDO Boost Guage Koni Street-Special Suspension (Height Adjustable) Speedy Hyperfang 15" Rims 1 month old Extreme Heavy Duty Clutch Sony CD Player JBL 6" Speakers front and back Trust Gearknob Nardi Torino Steering Wheel Alarm/ Immobilisor Car made 100rwkw@11psi on Tillbrook's Dyno Engine only put in roughly 30,000 kms ago... Body has no rust, paint is in excellent condition except for a dent in the front right quarter panel, not sure if fixable or needs new guard, plus a minor dent in the intercooler. Interior is also in excellent condition I have pictures but unable to upload them if someone could send me their email so I can it would be great So what do you guys think it is worth???

Hey all Looking at selling my car ASAP for a S5 RX-7 My car and modifications are as follows ; 1985 HR30 Nissan Skyline Hatch L20ET (SOHC, Inline 6 Turbo) 5 Speed Manual Heavy Duty Clutch 7MGTE Supra Front Mount Intercooler Koni Shocks High Temp Brakes 15' Speedy Rims K&N Pod Filter Wolf 3D ECU + Hand Controller VDO Boost Guage Trust Gearknob Bleed Valve 2.5" Cat-Back Exhaust Sony CD Player JBL GT 6" Speakers front and back Pioneer and Soundstream amps Clarion 12" Vnet Sub Unknown Brand 10"sub Nardi Steering Wheel Cruise Control May be more mods but thats all i can think of Car is in good condition and engine has only done ~30,000km I have a dyno sheet from Tilbrook Auto and Dyno for 100rwkw@11psi. Plenty of spares as well as parts from the old engine (L24E) and i cant remember how much else. Asking $7500 Cheers Dwayne

hey guys i have a prob with my L20ET........ it hits about 4500 rpm then cuts out, drops back to 4400 and repeats.... is it the plugs??? fuel pump?? anything else? sorry to be so vague but i need it fixed....... Also if anybody does the rb20 turbo swap, please post on here or pm me i am interested in it myself. Thanks in advance Dwayne

hey everyone sorry i havent been on for a while... by the sounds of it the rb20 turbo should bolt straight up? I know what you mean rsx84........ everyone says it is a shit engine because 'someone told them'. I see a lot of potential in them and am hoping for about 160-200kw atw from my engine. Not sure about the airflow meter.... it has an oxy sensor is this run off the afm?? If anyone can give me some tips, eg, how much boost to run, most effective mods please pm me. Cheers again

I don't know about all wolf 3ds, but mine cuts fuel and boost above 17psi incase the wastegate etc does'nt do its job or if someone screws around with the bleed valve

Hey all, my car is running a Wolf 3D ecu at the moment and it runs very well. I have only had the car for a week or so but the previous owner has had it in there for a few years now and had it tuned and it is fine now. BTW, can anyone tell me how to engage the security function on my hand controller as the previous owner is looking for the manual and I don't know how to do it yet Later

Also, does anyone know much about the L20ET. I can't seem to find much on this forum or the net in general, just things like what to look out for and how much boost it can take. I have heard that an RB25 turbo is a bolt on swap save for the dump pipe, does anyone know this for certain? Thanks again

Thanks guys, No its not a GT or Paul Newman model it is just an oz-spec Skyline with an engine conversion. GTRman1992, I have only had the car for a few days and the previous owner is still looking for is manual to the ECU, so I leave the hand controller alone. He said it has spent hours on the dyno and did not have a problem with the Wolf3D at all. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that the hand controller/display looks so dated compared to the A'PEXi Power FC but it is fun seeing exactly what boost you are running etc etc... So to cut a long story short, I like the Wolf3D and tuners shouldnt have any probs with it. Hope that helps. Later

It is an R30 Hatchback with the L20ET engine, I was just wondering if anyone knows of someone who has done this conversion??
