  1. HKS F-CON V Pro Silver ECU for R32/R33 GTR RB26DETT HKS FCon V Pro (Silver Version - FCV004098) Includes HKS H1 EIDS and adapter harness As pictured is EXACTLY what I got, so please do not ask if I have anything else that is meant to be attached, drilled, or if anything is missing, etc. What is pictured is what I have and what I will be selling - what you see is what you get! I took it out myself personally from my car. This unit piggbacks to the stock ECU. I know there is a Turbo Map Pressure Boost Sensor For HKS V-Pro F-Con that can also be purchased for this unit for under $30 on Ebay. This sensor is not included in this sale. I was making 310 awKW with my R33 GTR using this. I decided to switch over to a different ECU. The reason? Simple, it is tough finding tuners for these units in Melbourne, or for that matter Australia. Hence the reason I am selling this unit. Asking for $350, but I am completely open to offers. Will be selling the lot together (ie. not separating the HKS EIDS). Please speak to your tuner before consider purchasing this or find yourself a reliable tuner for this unit. Happy to post at buyers expense. PM me if anyone is interested.
  2. It's the older Silver version mate. Version 2.1 and the tuning software is all apparently in Japanese. There are only a few tuners Australia wide that can tune it (most interstate, and a couple here in Melbourne I know of). http://1jzmerc.com/hks-faq/hardware/f-con-v-pro-silver
  3. Its with an HKS Fcon Pro V piggy back.
  4. Thanks mate - you saved a good engine!
  5. Hi guys, Sorry for the noob question, but I am hoping someone here can give me the answer. I have got myself the Haltech Platinum Pro ECU for my R33 GTR. It's a Plug N Play ECU, so I am assuming this means I can just take out my stock ECU (which is hooked up to a HKS Fcon Pro V piggy back btw), plugin the Haltech and go for a drive? My car pulled 310 Kw at the wheels when it was last on a dyno (this is how it came off the boat from Japan - there was no tuning involved). The car has aftermarket injectors, dump pipes, larger turbos, a larger HKS inter-cooler, pod filters and an Apexi hi flow cat. I am not a fan of piggy backs and that's reason I went for a stand alone (my mechanic also advised me to go with a stand alone). Am I getting the whole Plug N Play concept wrong or do I need to get it properly tuned before even thinking of going out for a drive with the new ECU? I know I am coming across as absolute noob, but I will be grateful for any any advice. I am just excited at getting the new ECU, and hence why I am keen to put it in the car!
  6. This is Platinum Po Series which just plugins directly into the factory loom - no cutting or hacking! Here's a link to the ECU details from the official website. http://www.haltech.com.au/index.php/product/platinum-pro-plug-in-series/nissan-skyline-r32-r33
  7. Other than the power fc (which is not the djetro), the other two ECUs you suggest are pretty much the same price. Also, I have got quite a few good reviews from people using the Haltech Platinum Pro already on their GTRs.
  8. Hi all, I have decided to dump my HKS FCon Pro V piggy back and go for a stand alone ECU. I have bought the Haltech Platinum Pro and have been quoted between $800-$600 for fitting and dyno tune. Not sure what other people's experiences are on here, just thought I would put it out there and see what people's experiences have been with different tuner's in Melbourne/Victoria.
  9. Officially my daily.... Unofficially my second wife '97 Series 3 GTR Vspec
  10. As the topic states, I know quite a few of you would understand the frustration in trying to maintain one. I am wanting to get just the front lip spray painted and properly restored (there are some small surface cracks - nothing major). Does anyone know a decent panel beater around the SE suburbs who can do it? One place quoted my $750 (but that was including my front bumper as well). What's the most anyone has spent on getting it sorted?
  11. Hi All, Thank you for the interest. The roll cage has now been sold. Cheers.

Yes! Was there from mid day till about 4:30 pm.
  13. I just recently imported a 1997 R33 GTR Vspec Series III. Seeing what was on the market now, and what I paid, I did make quite a bit of savings. Just looking at the cheapest 1997 Vpsec Series III listed on Carsales is $25K. And in all honesty there were times it felt like I would have to actually fork out close to this much (including shipping, compliance, rego) to get the car I wanted when I was bidding on them (and frankly, I did not budget to spend $25K) . If you're keen on importing, it pretty much comes down to how much you want to spend, how long you want to wait, and how fussy you are going to be about your car (ie, do you want to be the first Australian owner of the car?). I waited for well over 5 months to get a car I liked (its all about bidding wars sometimes - and I bidded on over 7 different cars before I finally won mine) and then had to wait another 2-3 months before I actually could get my hand to drive it. I wouldn't discourage you from importing, because sometimes you might get a good find (mines pulling over 300 kws at the wheels - and that's how it came off the boat).

As requested. Cihan advised the staggers on the graph are because the air pipes are dirty (possibly because of the use of oil filters in Japan). Need to get this checked and cleaned in my next service.

Took the advice of Shadz and AaronNM35 and took the car to Cihan at Edge Motorworks. Thanks for the recommendation guys. Got the car dyno tested, and with a few adjustments/changes, they got the car to pull at 308 Kws at all 4 wheels! Great team at Edge Motorworks - highly recommend them.
  16. Hi everyone, I apologize for being so slack with the posting of the assembled roll cage pictures. Here are the new pictures to give everyone an idea of how its is assembled. The installation points are also provided in the first picture. Message me for those of your still interested. If you're interstate, please message me your postcode to determine postage/shipping costs. Price is still $550 (excluding postage/shipping costs).

Seems everyone wants to buy this HKS FCon ECU off me... We'll see people! I will first give a call to all the recommended tuners above, thanks guys. The previous owner seemed a bit of HKS lover. Along with the ECU we have found: HKS Turbos HKS Boost controller HKS Dump Pipes I guess think taking out the ECU will impact the above - in terms of power output.

Yeah, Well the bad luck for me is that mine came imported in with it installed. I actually want to have it removed and the previous owned has had it hard wired - hopefully I can find someone who can remove it. Does anyone know of any ECU's that are EPA approved? I might actually start another thread on that - EPA approved ECUs... Doubt such a thing exists???

Hi All, Just wondering whether anyone in Melbourne/Victoria knows of someone who can tune them? All the research I have done on these forums and on the net only points to tuners who can do them as only being available interstate (QLD, NSW). Just trying in here for one last shot. Thanks
  20. Hi All, Thank you to those who are interested in the roll cage. I am going to be assembling the roll cage (no, not back in the car!) and put up measurements so that interested parties can see what it looks like and then see if it will fit in their model. As far as I am aware, this would fit perfectly in a R33 GTR (ie. it came out of my 1997 R33 GTR Vspec) - but I might be wrong. Again, we're not sure of what the make/brand is. So watch this space in the next couple days when I post a new picture of the cage assembled. Thanks
  21. Hi all, I just recently imported a 1997 R33 GTR VSpec and the previous Japanese owner had installed a 6 point roll cage. My import agent has taken it out for compliance purposes, and in all reality I am not planning to take my GTR around the track any time soon. So I am putting the roll cage up for sale. I am based in Melbourne and would prefer a local pickup, however, if anyone inter-state is really keen I will see what postage costs will be involved. Not sure what brand it is, but here are the pictures of the roll cage below. I only have a couple of examples of what it looked like inside the GTR (not the best unfortunately). Whoever buys it will have to install it themselves obviously. $550 is what we are pricing it for. Message me if anyone is interested. Looks a good deal for those R33 GTR fans using your cars for track days mainly.
  22. And its on its way here on a boat from Japan. Its been a bit worrisome few days trying to get it out with all that has gone over there, and to be honest - this car was probably the last thing on the Japanese agents mind. But all's good and its on its way now. I am new to the whole Skyline scene, but I spent well over 12 month researching to getting one. But now that I have got one - what do it!?!?!? (Yes, I know its meant to be driven, but obviously there's alot more fun to this thing than just driving it - right???) Also, does anyone know long did the whole quarantine and compliance process take for anyone else who imported a car recently (in Victoria). I am assuming I should allow 4-5 weeks for all this? Anyone have suggestions around: Insurance, servicing, dyno testing, oils, etc. I want to make sure this thing is up and running to best possible condition.
  23. Thanks for that! Apparently a new one of this is worth over $750 on the HKS website! Not sure why the owner has installed it the way he has - surely it could have been installed elsewhere or in some other way.
  24. Hi All, I am new to this forum and recently purchased a 1997 R33 GTR Vspec from Japan. Its not arrived down under as yet and probably be a few weeks/months away from landing here. The reason I write is that I have no clue of what this HKS unit installed in the glove box is - does anyone have a clue and what it does? I know it'll probably have to come off during compliance - but I am still interested on what it does. It looks pretty serious! Sorry for the nube question and I'll be grateful for any advise. Thanks!
