  1. I have a 1993 GTST RB25DET which I'm rebuilding. The car didn't have an AFM or plug however I have managed to get another one with the plug from e-bay. The AFM checks out with Nissan to be from an RB25DET 8/93 - 1/95 so it should be OK. The problem I have is that the wires are different colours. Doing a search on here it looks like my car is a series 1 (skyline = same colour as the reversing lights)but the AFM may be off a series 2? Can I use this AFM and which wire goes where? 3. You can get POwer FC from Nengun for CA18DET. There is a guy in here in the UK who does chips for these engines that replace the standard chip in the ECU. Apparently his own car is running 418bh at the rear wheels with one of his own remapped chips. www.sxoc.com
  4. Hi, I'm looking for someone/owners club that can help me with some mapping information for an Apexi Power FC fitted to a Nissan 200SX S13 with a CA18DET engine. I have set up the Z32 with the FC, also 550 denso injectors are set at 67% and +0.14ms. I now need to alter some of the injector settings at various engine speeds as it's running far too rich (I can watch the fuel gauge moving steadily downwards).
  5. I'm looking for an RB25 front intake plenum, Greddy or sub zero.
  6. Does anyone know what the maximum power limit of a standard RB26DET con rod is? At what point do they stretch/bend? I have been offered a set to put into my RB25DET engine as an upgrade. So I need to know whether it's worth it. Also you guys talk about Linished rods. Can someone explain what that is please? Cheers Fellas
  7. A good number of you have fitted metal head gaskets in varying thickness to your RB25DET engines, 1.2mm seems quite poular. I know this allows you to run higher boost pressure from the turbo. What does the head gasket take the compression ratio down to? Why not just fit lower compression pistons when rebuilding the engine? Or is this done as metal gasket give slightly better sealing characteristics? Cheers
  8. Thanks Jim, So the internals will cope with what I want from the engine over all. I will be using the car every day, I'm not in to drag starts all the time but love mid range and top end power. This is probably due to being impatient so whenever there's a gap I take it. How do I get the engine to develop 350 - 400 HP? What does the standard clutch bomb out at or will this take 450HP too? Cheers
  9. In what order would you recomend moding an RB25DET and what increase would each mod make? I would like to get to about 350 - 400BH. The engine is out of the car at present and being stripped as it needs a re-bore. I was thinking about lower comp forged pistons and possibly steel rods (pauter or another make) or would the standard rods cope with that power? Any advice appreciated.
