Was wandering whether it would be possible to take the RB26DETT and pop it into an empty RX7 FD shell then upgrading brakes, suspension etc. Or is it impossible to do? Thanks!

could be o2 sensor crank angle sensor or spark plugs, most likely coil packs

Rb25De Not Hitting Over 200Km/h && Should I Get Banana Bread?
Grey replied to SKITTLES's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i got about 160kmh on 5000rpm gear 5, don't know if it would go any faster the car was vibrating lots -
error code 21 will most likely be coil packs, double check that with the mechanic to see if it was the coils, also coils take about 2 hours to change with the parts so you should be good to go in about 1 day. if you have a non turbo like me, you might want to get 1 2nd hand coil pack replaced instead of 6 new iridium ones as that would cost u 600+ instead of about 200 bucks.

spotted this white R35 going as fast as it could on the way to chadstone shopping centre this morning, it kept gassing hard then it stopped only when it had to stop when there was a car in front it breaked really hard then gassed even harder, turned around the corner as fast as it could

One of my family friends hit his head very hard on the playground, got a lump and thought it was fine, 3 days later when he was driving, he didn't know he was swerving side to side and someone reported him to the police, the police arrived to the car immediately, gave him a drug test and a breath test, found nothing. When this happened, he vomited so the police called the ambulance, he was taken to hospital and diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage near the bottom of his brain above the spinal cord. He had brain surgery on him with a high risk of not being about to talk properly after surgery and the chance of dying on the surgery table. My point: GET IT CHECKED OUT NOW!!! Edit: I think the condition is called a subdural hematoma (i'm a premed student)

So I tried removing my rear tire for the first time, I removed 4 out of the 5 bolts, and the 5th one was EXTREMELY hard, so I used all the force I could, it budged like 2-3 cm, but didn't come loose. After trying multiple times, BANG the whole nut came off with the screw thingo inside it, the thing had snapped in half. I was shattered....is it dangerous to drive on 4 out of 5 bolts and if it is, where can I get a new bolt and a new screw so the bolt can screw on?

i'm getting about 14-16L out of my fuel tank, is there something wrong? =[ (i do a lot of city driving)

haha lol n/a skylines were really not built for being pushed that hard tbh, so scared that the clutch will go any minute..
-
yeah thanks for that [= i've read somewhere that it doesn't matter if theres less power to weight ratio a six cylinder will beat a 4-cylinder (n/a r34 vs silvia thread), plus i live in melbourne so i probably can't go to wsid... and i know what u mean the small mods just help get a better feel for the car when driving it no i did not say or intend for that, i'm just amazed that the civic kept up with what is hyped up to be a skyline which i thought would be of heavy weight (no pun intended) compared to other NA cars in it's league lol i'm a responsible driver, others just fly past me on a 60 road and i'm like, "calm down buddy far out...." (99% of the time) PLUS -> i've never ever got a fine, speeding ticket, parking ticket, red camera or any road related offence in my almost 2 years of driving, that's how responsible i am...

yeh i did i knew they were slow, but didn't think they'd be even slower than old civics no dude, i got to 120kmh ish in around 10 secs lol

is the gtr still fat compared to cars of its own calibre

Hi guys before you start telling me off about how illegal and dangerous and bad it is to do so, I'm just asking for some opinions and thoughts about my question, not the ethics behind it, thanks. So tonight, I dragged my manual stock 99' R34 coupe against my mate's stock 97' ej8 Honda civic and barely beat him. He's running a 1.6L single cam engine, while I have a 2.5L twin cam rb25de....what amazes me is that he kept up and I just barely won at about 120km/h. Then he kept telling me how he didn't get a good start, here's how I started off the line. Revved to 4k RPM, as soon as the light went green I dumped the clutch and floored the gas changing gears as fast as I could at around 7000 rpm. My tires lost traction after about 10metres and I had to adjust my steering wheel left and right to keep the car straight. I could see him in my peripheral vision and in the end I beat him. Now are NA skylines really that slow that they can't even match a puny car like an old civic? I can't imagine what a drag against an integra type R or even an S would be like, totally smoking an NA skyline, how embarrassing. In the car I also had my mate who weighed 80kG if that makes a difference? Are NA skylines really that much of a heavy slow car that eats fuel and is shit at drags? How would my car compare to other N/A cars in stock if it were identically skilled drivers? Any thoughts please? Thanks.

AU160,000 a pop.

definitely 1 cylinder is down, the car is just not putting out as much power

burning smell and check engine light came on again, car was jerking pretty hard throughout the drive, my guess would be coilpacks
-
Today after driving the R34 GT manual not pushing it very hard, after the ignition, the yellow check engine light symbol came up and stayed up on the dash. When I stopped the car about 3 minutes later, the car was vibrating quite a fair bit, so I went to check the exhaust, and it was making this sound "chug chug chug chug" blowing hot air out unsmoothly. No other sounds out of the ordinary were heard. After an hour I turned the car back on and thrashed it a little to see if the yellow light would come on again, but this time everything was normal and nothing weird happened. I checked the radiator and that was all normal, what could it be? Coilpacks? Plus, I don't have any diagnosing tools for my car.... This is the first time this has happened in the 1 and a half months since I've had the car.
