  1. Found an RB30 which runs well for $250... Now I need to decide if I want the RB26 head from the car once I buy it, or ..an RB25 head.. Either way I'm prepared to do the work. Can anybody recommend me a good thread regarding which conversion is better?.. Or a pros and cons list?.. I imagine the 25 head would be good with the VVT and all except the 26 would have a bigger combustion chamber... Ah the decisions..
  2. I should really of said Aus/US v8s. In saying that, it would be nice to be able to take on a BMW F10 M5.... I also don't mean, just beat them, I mean thrash.. Want to be able to switch between a nice low boost daily driving map, to a gutsy track one.. I haven't even looked in to tyre sizes yet, but I imagine I will have the guards rolled and get the widest ones possible. Love the look of Rays TE37s.. I used to drive a forester turbo, loved that car, amazing in the wet.. Yea I just don't particularly want a car which I have to drive slowly in the wet, I get pissed off at people on the road who drop 20kms when it starts to rain, yes it's safe, but ...stressful....
  3. 30k At the moment I've got a holiday booked in Japan for 3 months on a working visa, so I'll be getting the car imported, buying it over there, nice and clean, and having the piece of mind that I'd be the first Australian owner.. My powergoal is about 380~400awkw @ 20psi.. with the option of dropping the boost down for every day driving, I just like the idea of having the power there if I want to eat a v8. Don't want a gtst, I want to be able to drive this car when it rains as the car I have now wont be nice to drive in the wet as of buying new 315/75/16 tyres
  4. Not really an issue, I'll just keep spending until I feel that it's finished. Leaning towards the 2.8L stroker though... Trying to source a forged balanced rb30 crank.. not looking good. /edit - Sorry double post.
  5. This isn't really an issue, I'm going to leave the rb26 alone until I've got enough cash to do the rb30/26 build or stroke the 26.. At the moment I'm trying to source a balanced rb30 crank and it seems difficult so I'm starting to lean more towards the Stroker for the 2.6L.
  6. Yep, but with a little mucking about either with a Torque Split controller or mucking around with the accellerometers or whatever they are (the lat and long ones) you can have a bit more of a play. I can't have 3 cars parked out the front of my house, and ...I dont have that much money...
  7. Oh, the other reason I want the gtr is because the car I'm driving now, spins too easily in the wet, it'd be nice to set the torque to the front n rear once it rains.. I've heard from many people that the rb30/26s are awesome.. So the rb30s have a wider powerband?
  8. Hey all. Just wondering, Which would perform better?.. ? Buying an R32 Gtr and I would just like to know what I'm dealing with.. This is for a daily driver with some balls when I tell the ECU to have some, but also be nice on fuel with decent response, And.. a casual track(drift mainly) car (when I make it to the track). I'm not really interested in drag racing. I'm considering twin GT2860s in replacement of the stock ceramics which as far as I know are GT25s?.. Any advice would be great. Thanks. Also, it seems I posted this in "for sale".. My bad. sorry.
  9. Can't wait until the 23rd of this month. Then I can get my car
