  1. forgot about "team america"..... hopefully they don't have to many issues with the car after so much work in such a short period of time. You secretly hope they suck but in a nice way. Would be happy if Suzuki san gets up there this year, not sure if he is really the underdog type thing this year though. Anyone here any news about the Sutton brothers new "GT style S15" with all the goddies, they drove the 180sx year before last and had an issue with the engine last year on the night before practice. Should be interesting as well if we ever see it.
  2. Nice work russ on the splitter, hopefully will help you heaps at PI on the weekend and you crack off some super quick laps and beat Adz's time.
  3. Sure you will be up there at the top Russ and giving it a good crack for the RWD skyline's. the other one that impresses me is that little civic, very quick car.
  4. should be real quick then, turning into a bit of an EVO fest @ WTA. Who is in the running for fastest Skyline?
  5. relax, they have a spare or three....
  6. pulse racing evo looks interesting and with a bit of testing, any insight into times @ EC?
  7. ahh well i picked some up cheap so might as well try it out, more worried about anything coming out. customized = bent to position shiftier closer to driver
  8. we are going to bring a tv this year so we can plug into the laptimes and maybe a speaker so we can hear the anno was difficult last.year especially with the rotor guys next door replacing and engine after each session....uncements
  9. another thought is that the shifter is a little offset from the normal SR box position and more forward, we customized the shifter to get it into a better position and it could be as simple as me needing to change gears better and when i try to change quickly between 3rd and 4th i am slightly off causing the crunch.
  10. Birds, i thought it would be good to check the oil first and at the same time change it.
  11. R31Nismoid Yeah i think the plan might be to do the change and see how it goes, not going to the track again for a bit as funds a little low so might look to do some private testing if possible to see if the problem presents itself. Next option is to pull it down and inspect further. Birds i am not currently running a mineral oil, i am running a synthetic currently and thought whilst i drain the fluid to check for any particles i would change to another oil which is meant to be good for fast shifting with synchros. krzysztof If the clutch fork was bent i would imagine that this problem would occur across a number of gears and at different speeds and conditions.
  12. i actually like all of the development of the different cars, pushs all the boundrys around what can be done and not as restrictive. I guess open and club class are for the people that want to push the boundrys within a more defined set of rules. One thing this year and i hope Hi Octane is reading is to please please put split times up on the display board up, sooooo many times i was hearing.....AND HE IS ON A FLYING LAP!!!! only to see them driving past the start finish line in third with a cup of tea.
  13. drop sheets? don't you mean vb cartons?
  14. not 100% sure the issue would not at least in some way show under minimal or even regular load if it was something to do with the clutch and also in any gear under load. I am going to drain the castrol fluid i put in it with a filter sock to have a good check for parts in it and replace the oil with redline to see if that makes a difference although i am skeptical about oil making a difference. If it was stuffed from the get go then the problem would have presented itself earlier i would have thought. I am sure i could go back to nissan but the car is not exactly standard so doubt they would be keen to do it "under warranty".
  15. which car doesn't have aero in Pro class Roy?
  16. interesting around the clutch, running OS Gekin twin. Yes it is a conversion but have checked the input shaft to std box center and it is spot on. I would have thought the crunching was the clip that has been mentioned in other threads,
  17. so a little over 6 weeks away now, lots of cars announced although not all. Whats the smart money on for the winner for Pro, Open or Clubsprint?
  18. Means race licence only people not L2S
  19. run in of sorts on ELF, nah it's only into 4th and at full tilt. Running castrol syntrans
  20. i have done the search but i would not have thought a brand new one would crunch into 4th under heavy load. Brand new from Nissan and it crunch's and is getting worse.
  21. seemed pretty quick out of turn 2 and through turn 3 as well,
  22. nearly ran out of room through turn 1 as well.
  23. Hopefully like you say the weather is good for this weekend for you and you can give it a good crack Russ, it is a good track to practice on for WTA if you can't get to EC. 260klm/h well that's about 25klm's greater then what i can manage (235),
  24. cool thanks, nice video. Difference in speed down the straight is 20klm/h from what i can manage, amazingly fast car and driver. Matt
