suggestion on that thread is more like 70klm/h difference and for me enough to shit my pants. Doubt i would have seen him coming because of the difference in speed and the first time you would see him was as you come onto the straight. I agree though if i could get a drive of the lotus i would not pass it up

The are actually the lightest wheels around and were replaced by the re30 of which is slightly heavier then the se37. Very strong rims and able to withstand a lot. Good luck with your sale

looks like i am out, can't get it fixed in time to leave and as for my week of motorsport next week it looks like it has gone So instead of punting around lakeside and QLD raceway for a few days next week i will be kicking around home.

Sorry been a little quiet since getting back. car is still trying to get fixed for qld on Sunday and next week and had a few further set backs so far. added some further bad luck on the way home with the rear passenger side tire blowing out which happened whilst overtaking a row of slower cars on the Hume. Monday and two new tyres at 300each latter and also replaced the load leveling kit which was the cause that chewed out the tyres in 2000klm so another 740 on top and i still dread what the car is going to cost me to fix. Was great to meet a few of you and big thanks for all the help and beers. Really good bunch of people in the SAU vic community. Matt

I reckon it will be ok. the track guys seem to think so and that the rain might be closer to the ranges then at the circuit but we should get most of the day without rain hopefully

Guys, just did the trip.down today towing the car with a detour via golburn and left bella vista at 7:30am and arrived at winton at 2:30pm. easy drive.and not as long as the maps say although there is some road works on the Hume but only got held up 5min
