why not got just a handy cam with HD and flash/sd card recorder (rather then the HD recorder type ones cause of the vibrations). they are cheap, reliable and avaiable at most major appliance stores. The len's are excelent and you can use them to tape you kids birthday party as well.

you can get the 2300kg kit on the xr6t automatic and they are rated or at least the g6e turbo automatic is. The manual i think is only rated @ 1600kg which might be where the confusion has come from? I have literally just purchased a g6e turbo with the 2300kg kit fitted today and putting on some load leveling bars as well as the elec. brake controller. 7.9ltr per 100klm driving back from Canberra today, hopefully not to worse then what i was getting with the commodore although i guess i will find out weekend after next after towing the car down to Melb.

it certainly is interesting cutting them open, not sure if anyone in AUS has do proper filter testing in a lab as all i am going on is looking inside the filter. (probably better then blindly following the norm)

yeah your right maybe the holden nismo special might be a bit tough without a licence and a waist of money as you could not drive it. This might work through? Got 1 horse power so plenty enough for your needs.

yeah there was a lot of talk around what seemed like the nissan ones were better and ryco was not. Not sure but the Ryco seems well constructed compared to the nissan filter.

the ryco seems to have tighter pleats and be better constructed with the general look and feel being better then the Nissan filter. It made me worry with the fiberous ends on the nissan flter if they were to break off as well rather then the metal on the ryco.

cracked open a std nissan filter a while ago and honestly was surprised with it, after a lot of feedback was always to use the Nissan filters becasue they were better i thought i would cut open the next filter i buy and check out the differences between the two. Here is some photos between the Ryco and the Nissan filter, personally i like the closer pleats and metal vs fibre ends(yes i know they are different sized filters). I had to put a screwdriver through the ryco filter to get it off the car so you can see some of the damage it has caused. On the right is the nissan one vs the ryco on the left Nissan End of filter with anti drain back seal Ryco end of filter, The two compared together my hack job and the springs, the Ryco uses a spring and the nissan a flexable plate, i like the nissan better in this instance. The fibrous ends on the nissan filter Ryco end Interested to see what other people have cut open (in australia not on the interweb from overseas) and discussed above.
