  1. Pass a tidy C34 everyday parked on Roger Street, Brookvale. Good looking car that.
  2. Oooo yeah. Or V-spec or Nur or N1 or Z-Tune
  3. Regardless of the maker, if there's letters M or GTR, tis love sweet, sweet love
  4. Yeah those are nice - basically an M5 everywhere except in the engine department.
  5. Totally agree with that. A tastefully modified M35 like the blue one Ben sold earlier this year is on my shopping list - again when the boss allows it hahaha
  6. Yep, M Para's are in the top 3, along with Rondell 58s and the ultimate (at 2K a pop) AC Schnitzer Type II Racing (in 19s). Rondell 58s AC Schnitzer Any idea on the cost of shipping a set of 4 wheels from OS? USA? UK? Cheers Brad
  7. Did this car used to be in Manly, NSW cause there was one like this down there? I don't see it anymore. If so, I'm gutted also cause I LOVED looking at this car.
  8. Agreed:-). Best looking headlights available. They too are on my mod list.
  9. Mate I think there'd be a few very disappointed souls if you left your Nur at home - I'd be one of them. Stunning car mate.
  10. Holy crap that's one of the best engine bays I ever seen. Respect. Good luck with sale.
  11. You didn't notice the thumb inprint on my forehead? Will show you next time lol
  12. Thanks Matt. Yeah S38 is my choice but also considering S54 or S62. There are more S54's available. Current rims are good but only 17s. Goal is staggered 18s. Am always interested in seeing more Bimmers.
  13. Hi Guys (and gals), Just wanted to say what an awesome time I had on the cruise on Sunday. It was my first one with SAU and thought it was a blast. Thanks for being so accommodating to have a (nearly) stock 22 yr old BMW along for drive - I enjoyed getting the old girl to wag her tail. It was an awesome sight seeing all those suberb Skylines ready for the drive up the pass. However, I didn't see them for long - you all buggered off on me hahaha . Can't wait for my M engine and gearbox conversion (when the boss allows it). I will post pictures when I figure out how to do it. I hope to come along another time. Cheers Brad
  14. Anyone dealt with GT High Performance in Kirrawee?
  15. No, I didn't notice the oil marking on top of the engine. Did it look like it indicated a leak or a spill or something else? Were you able to take it for a drive? The year, the milage and the price pricked my interest and the dealer mentioned $17500 - not a lot off it really. Wouldn't have minded getting another grand off though :-) I would definitely get it inspected by third party (NRMA and the like) and the dealer said that was ok. Anyway, was that your gold AR-X? It looks really tidy, nice find. First Stagea I ever drove was an AR-X from Northshore. Very nice.
  16. Yep, that's the one. I'd be really interested in what your mechanic had to say about it. Anyway, I'm glad I read this thread before buying - it's been extremely helpful.
  17. Yeah, sounded too good to be true. I can't remember if the airbag light was flashing, but the dealer mentioned it. Anyway, I'm glad I read this thread before buying...
  18. Hey guys, I've only just joined SU (today, literally) and have found this tread extremely interesting. I too looked at the silver M35 with NISMO bits on it that was talked about at the beginning of the tread. Took it for a test drive also and absolutely loved it, especially the handling. The family hack at the moment is a Ford Territory, so the handling of the M35 was sooo refreshing. I actually thought that the condition of the car wasn't that bad. Sure, the damage on the bumpers was a down fall, but the carpets and seats (especially the drivers seat that cops the abuse) I thought were in pretty good nic. And I'm a fussy buggar! The thing that I noticed most was that damn stale cigarette smell inside, a funny noise from the turbo when on boost (which sounded more like a supercharger than a turbo) and is in need of a complete detail. But the car felt quite tight, there were no rattles and the bumps were felt to be sure with the lowered stance, but weren't nasty. I spoke with the owner and he seemed to be ok, for a used car salesman. He was upfront about the damage and explained that it hadn't been detailed yet (duh!), was going to fit a storage box where the Jap TV went, install a CD head unit and something about fixing the airbag light. How about that 2 yr warranty? Surely that should cover the car for that period? Or am I being naive? So why am I going on about it? Well, if his trade offer was better, I would have traded the Terrible (sorry, Territory) that day. And his trade price was better than I would've got from 4 other dealers, 2 of which were Ford! Anyway, search continues. Cheers
  19. I keep seeing a very pretty, blue M35, lowered on 18s and a lovely zorst in Manly (Sydney). One of the best looking cars on the Beaches, I reckon.
