  6. I would make my own manifold twin scroll with 50mm gate, not sure what rear housing. ether that or go for the 8374 efr. I used a 0lain bearing 8374 before this one. it worked better than expected. I'm hoping an efr would be a big improvement.
  7. How would a efr 7670 perform on Rb26 n1 engine with 264 cams? Looking at near 400 rwkw on e85. close to it now with a plain bearing borgwarner. I'm after more go under 3500 rpm. 100% Street driven.

  10. I'd look into a full service with head job, hand massaged ports and have the surface tickled while you are at it. Just find a flat bed for a better result.
  11. I think I just knocked it out when I did a sump conversion. Wasn't difficult to remove but that was a few years ago now.

  15. It was from an rb30e patrol. The 25 won't be good on fuel pulling an extra ton around. Tb45 are good with Tb42 rods
  16. There are 2 turbo options... Tb45 turbo or Tb45 turbo. I've done all 3.
  17. Don't forget to buy a hammer so you can check the manifold for crater cracks, over roll, misalignment, spatter, lack of reinforcement, under cut, porosity. Blah blah blah.
  18. If you could read properly you will see that he had these troubles before we became friends. It not an attack, just one of numerous example of a 6 boost manifold being very poor quality. Make what you will out of it, the bottom line is that particular manifold was crap when it left 6 boost. No two ways about it.
  19. How about the reinforcement which is non existent. Alignment is poor, lack of penetration, gas pores, cold lapping, unequal leg length. I could go on but it's not a passing contest. In the end you don't always get what you pay for. My standards may be higher but to me it is crap.
  20. That's a dandelion not 'heat Wrap fibres'. I don't know if it was a prototype or what but the weld quality is poor. Even the one above in your picture is welded poorly and I'm guessing the waste gate outlet on your turbine housing was done by somebody else but that is disgraceful work.
  21. It's 100% a 6 boost job. It probably looks different as it's for an rb30. He purchased the car with it fitted but unused from new. When it started cracking 6 boost would not honour the life time warranty as he was not the original purchaser hence the repairs from exhaust shops who know nothing about welding obviously. That was all before I knew him
