It has been repaired by a dodgy exhaust shop. I travel around the world as a welder for a living so I know what I am talking about. The welding is terrible. And I'm not talking about the repairs. I have acquired it from a friend as he was sick of it cracking. He had to pay to have it repaired 3 times. Poorly though.

Here is another dog poo 6 boost job. What a joke. Zoom in and see the quality. The welding was poor to begin with.

how do these jap autos go being manualised? does it work well? Do you just need to buy a box to control it from KEAS or mv or someone?

6Boost Vs. Doc-Race Vs. Full-Race Manifold
Griffin replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
My mate is having trouble with his 6 boost manifold cracking, all the ones I have seen never have enough reinforcement on the welds. Any he bought the manifold new but wasn't the original purchaser so they are not honoring the lifetime warranty which I think is disgraceful. Just another reason I would never get one. -

Worlds Biggest Low Mount.... With Pics

The turbo I took off had an external off the turbine housing, this internal one obviously works. I'm happy with the outcome so far, will see what happens when I make a new manifold. -

Very similar one with different housings and the next size up turbine. Still not a bad result from a $50 turbo. Not the last one wouldn't make any more power with more boost so I don't know if this one would make the same on less boost than what it's running. Currently. -

Got some results, here is a dyno graph comparing the turbo that I took off. The red line was with stock wheels, the Green line with 19 inch wheels and 305 tyres.not sure if that would make a difference. The actuator holds around 27 psi as shown, I wasn't expecting that so I need to get a lighter one to hook the boost controller back up. It seems like the stock rb25 manifold is a restriction now so the next job is to make a decent one to see if we can get over the 400 hump. Also the tune hasn't been adjusted for the different turbo as there wasn't enough time and I was only worried about it being safe to drive. It drives great though. Can't wait to see what difference a good manifold will make. I'm happy too that the internal waste gate works properly. Looking forward to feedback thanks. -

It is for the previous turbo, I need to get it on. Dyno to find out if the internal wg is working. It's a 20 psi actuator and to hard to test it on th Road. -

How far from Newcastle are you? There is definitely no restriction with the 4 inch. Just need to return the bov's back into it and get a good quality filter. -
