Yes its on an RB26, coming together nicely. Whats the smallest external wastegate I can get away with?
Does anyone have an r34 gt / gtt airbox I can trial fit in the Newcastle area?
started the fitup today. turbo fits stock manifold without a spacer. will modify the stock manifold for more flow. should turn out pretty stock looking.
Just weighin up where to mount turbo now im doing away with the twins..I have a GReddy high mountmanifold but the turbo sits more towards the rear, Other options are custom manifold with turbo mounted more forward or using an rb25 modded manifold.
What are your opinions?
i took the head off first so there was a lot of room to get to bell housing etc. not sure about long engine with intake on. has a push type clutch so that won't be a drama.
about to refit gtr engine. it has no manifolds ion at present. if i fit the intake manifold while its out of the car will it be easier than doing in the car. will i have clearance with it on as the gearbox is still in car.
going single turbo so don't need to fit exhaust side.
find an efi shop. there is one in newcastle who has it in newcastle half meter packs. don't bother asking any auto part shop as they won't have any idea it exists. you will find the inside of all fuel hose is rated for contact with fuel but outside layer isn't and the normal stuff won't last long.
ok cheers, do you guys think I should still take the head off to fit studs, mls gasket and oil restrictor? If so what size gasket will I need for 86mm bore with highest comp ratio possible?
the engine is an N1. im not sure if the rods are good for 400kw +. The old ones are aftermarket hence the bolts going through the cap. Thanks for clarification. i was unaware of the difference. What's my next step?

I have the rod bolts, not sure whether r&r on the bolts will disturb the bearings. they will be re torqued.has anyone done it? the caps wont even need to come apart.
