Hi, I've just purchased a relatively stock R34 GT-T. Does this mean it doesn't come with a factory immobilser or alarm?

what isthe effect of a CAS starting to fail on the engine? I'm just trying to understand why it could be the problem.

Ok just as an update, on the weekend i cleaned the AFM and the AAC valve. This seems to have sorted out the stalling issue when i roll up to the lights. It idles very steadily at about 900rpm. I then drove it for about 150kms, and it just stalled when i was driving. The dash lights come on. However, my hazard lights still work and stuff. It's quite scary. Anyway, i try turn on the car again a few times but it just doesn't want to start. If i take out the key and wait a bit i can start the car again. Does this mean that the problem is electrical? or is it the fuel pump?

I'm not really sure what i'm looking for though. what am I checking with the afm and the coil packs (what are they?) and how do i check for leaks? I haven't really played around with the engne of a car before.

Hi everyone, I've had my R33 gts-t for about 2 months now. It started off pretty well with no problems but soon after the car may occassionally stall when rolling up to the lights or if i'm pushing the car hard it'll kind of just cut out for a bit then keep going again. This seems to be more frequent as time goes by. However, this morning the car would barely even start. I would turn the ignition, the car would start but with barely enough revs to keep the car going and it'll then stall. I pushed the gas and it jumped to life. But then when i started driving it the car just shut down even though i was pressing the gas. It wouldn't start. Now i don't really know all that much about cars but can anyone help me diagnose the problem? Fuel pump? afm? Your help would be much appreciated. Eric
