spotted a white stagea cruising along Morayfield Road at Morayfield today, heading toward Bunnings, we were in the silver R33 4 door DEB189 plates you were looking at haha

for those that might find this thread, I just installed a otomoto eliminator kit, The biggest difference I noticed is the otomoto arms use a single piece bush for the hub end which is maybe a little soft from just squeezing it in my hand, where as the Driftworks one uses what the pictures look like a nolathane type 2 piece bush. other than that, they look pretty well identical, so far the Otomoto kit has been fine and adjusts up fine, for those that smash ripple strips and stuff on the circuit/drifting you might want to upgrade the bushing or go with the drift works one? but thats just a guess as I am not sure how much that would effect the toe arms? also you will more than likely NEED to remove the hubs to press/ heat up and beat out the original bush/ball joints from the hubs

R33 S1 Parts Wrecking 2 Cars
blackers10 replied to toy515's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
hey mate do you have the under dash part of the AC? the evaporator is the part we are after as ours is leaking also what are the king springs you have? we have a stock R33 S1 4 door and want to lower it a bit can pick up no dramas -
where do you live?? any boilermaker or engineering shop or supercheap or bunnings etc. should have a grinder... boilermaker would probably charge you the same price the cost of a grinder and 1 cutting disc will set you back
-
no thats not me..my wife has a silver over grey 4 door R33 and I have a silver cressida with 1j(broken at the moment) and a white festiva daily, we live at Narangba so you might see us around. R33 has black 18" varrstoens and a cannon exhaust, there is an identical one with different wheels that gets around here too last night at chermside we spotted a silver R33 coupe cruising along with a new shape WRX from around harrys to aspley maccas, sounded pretty mean?? maybe running no cat ?
-
cheers for the advice, its only auto and the wife doesn't rape it too much, but her fuel economy is terrible its stock with only the 7psi all the time solenoid grounded and a pod filter(DRIFT brand dry one not oiled like a K&N) and we have changed everything except the AFM so far(changed spark plugs today so see if that makes a difference) getting only 350km till it reads pretty close to E

hey guys, havn't been on here for a lil while just lurking around learning question I have for you tho. the Hicas light has come on in the missus R33 4 door when driving for the ol 10 mins around 80kmh etc there is a little bit of play in the inner tie rods from the look of it. so what are our options? do we need to replace the inner tie rods AND get a lock bar or is the play in the rack it self? or should we get the Hicas Eliminator kit that driftworks/cartel sells? which replaces EVERYTHING with new arms the other issue it is having now is when you start it up especially when cold it sort of struggles to bring the idle up, I cleaned out the IAC not long ago and its still doing it so not sure what the go is there any ideas?? cheers
-
The wife took the crappy ass wing off her R33, other than that its going well. the Hicas light has started coming on over 80kmh etc. also needs inner tie rods outter ball joint thingos and lock bar for the hicas or a driftworks eliminator kit so not sure which way we will go yet. not long ago got a mongoose alarm fitted by Chris Rogers and very happy with his work and the alarm:) The Cressida finally has some work happening! getting an Emanage Ultimate and a genuine head gasket for the 1jz and started pulling parts off the motor getting ready to remove it to see why it pumping oil. also got some R33 calipers and BA falcon rotors for the brake upgrade ready to go. I can't wait to drive a real car again instead of my hail damaged festiva which is doing well, just replaced a couple of bushes tonight Sorry to hear about being rear ended Boiracer that sucks!

my wifes parents went over to Japan for a wedding and we asked them to pick up some Domokun stuff turned out one of the only places you can get it is the NHK TV Character store which is SUPER expensive they brought us back all this stuff the cloth underneath opens up to like a table runner sort of length but is just a fabric, we are going to get it framed as its pretty cool

popped out to the test and tune tonight, saw a 4 door r34 and a 2 door r34 both run around the mid 14s from memory saw an old school capri lose it and JUST miss the wall at the pointy end of the track.. was like the 3rd run of the night.. apparently dropped some water but that was all thankfully and a stupid fast hayabusa drag bike(super stretched rear end etc) collected 2 timing markers at half track luckily nothing else happened to him couple of pop and crackle and crunch noises from a couple of cars but overall it was a good night not as busy as previous years for the good friday tnt but with a street shoot out event on tomorrow maybe half the fast cars held out till tomorrow

haha yeah she is pretty full on! I lost 20kg in a year and have been slowly putting muscle on.. still no abs in sight... and a pretty bad anterior pelvic tilt and curved upper back(too much computers as a kid and well now with an office job too) I do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as my main fitness/sport, need to get in the gym more and throw more iron around so I can improve certain things I am lacking and yeah
-
Hey Melly, Do you know a Sam Burger at that gym she is a PT? I did a PT course with her late last year, she got stuck in and finished it all to start working there, I'm still bumbling along with my assessments as I have too many hobbies and already have a full time job haha. need to get focused
-
its actually my wifes car, she drives it to work from forest ridge to near the chooks matilda at narangba, but she does go through Morayfield on occasion on the weekend etc due to my Cressida dropping cylinder 3 and half dropping cylinder 5 I am rockin a bubble shape Festiva with MASS hail damage on the front

dark coloured R33 2 door cruising along Morayfield road at 7pm last night infront of the Morayfield shops no wing, looked like white wheels
-
glad to hear things are coming together for you Clint, Debs(the wife's) skyline is finally doing well finally!! all the clunks are gone next weekend is install front splits and run wiring (I hate that part) and wait for the sub box to turn up and throw it in and wire it up(easy part) just has to be easily removable for when we look after her friends kids and need the pram etc(her best friend had twin boys that are 1 year old and so she gets her cluck on with them haha What tuning options are there for auto skylines?? just planning on going the usual basic mods with this car (dump, front pipe, intercooler and bolt on turbo upgrade when this one kicks the bucket are all that needs doing now) just want to get it retuned afterwards to get the most out of it and obvious suspension enhancements cheers all will come meet you all some day soon hopefully, just always going to training instead of cruising haha sucks being addicted to too many hobbys
-
get a bigger hammer?? and a big socket to guide the new one back in... we used an inch socket so you can fit the threaded part through
-
spotted an orange r33 2 door just now on Station Rd at Burpengary, we were in the silver 4 door
-
the wife was gonna pull into maccas aspley to grab a coffee to calm the nerves.. but she had 2nd thoughts as that meant more time at risk haha
-
spotted a R33 driving through the 5 car pileup on the M1 tonight at wooloongabba ?? we were the silver 4 door parked just at the start of it, thankfully we pulled up in time
-
what an eventful night we had.... on the way home from a mates place down at springwood cruising along the M1 at 100 when suddenly a big lifted nissan patrol skids sideways and a kia rio gets punched into the armco and a mazda 6 runs into the rear end of a AU falcon ute and a suzuki swift gets a shunt up the bum.... blocking all 3 lanes less than 100m infront of us the wife was driving so she slams on the anchors and we lock up (its that real slick type tar) we stop in time luckily all caused because A)there is no break down lane on this section(just at wooloongabba near cornwall st exit) B) suzuki swift bonnet popped open and the guy decided it was a good idea to stop on the right hand lane of the highway... causing the falcon ute to stop behind him mazda 6 runs into the arse of the ute pushing it into the swift and spinning off to the left lane facing the wrong way by the end of it all the people get out and get off the highway as they hear the patrol locked up tearing toward the scene in the midst of all this the kia rio gets the side caved in by the patrol (think it must have been beside the cars as all the impacts occured as the patrol ended up sideways with minor front damage(had ARB 4x4 style bull bar) the large lady driivng the kia had to be cut out as the B pillar was smashed in and the while front right guard was torn off and the wheel was facing backwards) and was in a bad way (2 paramedic units and 2 ambos arrive to work on her and i think the other passenger in the same car) after over an hour of blocking the highway and watching the emergency services do what they do best we headed on home as they cleared the cars then on the way home we took the turbot street exit and came up the hill to the pub on Leichhardt st and this moron in a black plastic 4x4(rav4 or outlander type thing) doesn't stop at a red light)our light had gone green and we started moving forward) luckily we saw him and braked and he figured out we were coming through and he stopped also, my wife let him know how much of a moron he was.... we then drove straight home not passing go and collecting $200 and am safely posting on the forum haha
-
turns out we fitted the straight one upside down, the notch faces the upright not the rim...lol in turn the upright was hitting on the arm when it compressed alot... wonder how much the guys doing the wheel alignment will charge to flip it. shouldn't be stuff all as its only 1 extra bolt to undo

R33 Ball Joint And Suspension Cost
blackers10 replied to dex_911's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
for $1300 you can get BC coilovers... -
and now there is a different clunk, i am thinking it is due to the heim joints in the new upper control arms?? it is only when you hit a bump that unsettles the car (like a divot before it becomes a pothole or surface change etc)
-
fitted Driftworks Upper control arms and lower ball joints and tie rod ends on the wifes R33 got rid of a clunk we had in the front yay!
-
sounds nasty..
