  1. sounds like something interesting happened??
  2. Yeah that's it joe haha.
  3. its probably 6 month old samsung plasma
  4. Worst thing about all these big flat screen TVs... So damn big and cumbersome To move lol
  5. Not bad smity yourself?? The missus has an r33 s1 4door now so had to join this forum haha
  6. Yeah the other TVs work perfect(gets the missus off the loungeroom tv so I can watch movies or play Playstation lol. But that's not the point... So you think it might be the cable to the socket??
  7. Oh ok. I'll have to check tonight when I get home. The fact my other 2 TVs work fine that's what's got me more confused
  8. Oh true. Well I live at narangba on one of the high bits in forest ridge if that helps
  9. is anybody elses channel 7 and some of channel 10 gone bad since all the rain?? mine keeps dropping out or just goin real bad for a while then comes good and repeat.. thinking maybe some water got into teh cabling but only affecting channel 7 and somtimes channel 10 makes it wierd?? my antenna is not even 1 year old so it can't be that
  10. from what i remember reading back in the day on fullboost they used a pressure switch so it only turned on over X boost otherwise you would empty the container in 5 seconds... the biggest issue was getting a fine enough mist using XYZ pump and XYZ nozzle so it doesn't just drench the cooler as that is TOO much water and ruins the cooling effect as the water just sits on it
  11. Picked up a set of drift works front upper arms for the wife's r33 tonight . Now to fit them and get an alignment. Hopefully gets rid of the clunks
  12. i could bring my hail damaged bubble shape festiva out! ... will be like a P or L plater cruise from the good ol days haha !!
  13. the wife said they will take anybody with some sort of experience on paper(so a previous job that involved welding) but if you gave examples or could prove your worth they would give you a run through I would suspect as they seem to be screaming for them (they manufacture excavator buckets so its a BIG market at the moment) the other day an invoice came across my wifes desk for a $195k 20m2 rock bucket.... a garbage truck is a 15m2 body or there abouts...
  14. if you have welding experience atlas heavy engineering at narangba is after people, dont bother if you cant weld tho
  15. if your a PT , hit up http://www.fitprofessionals.com.au/ they have alot more jobs than seek ever does, and dont cost you anything to register and they find you a job as the gyms pay them for jobs other than that, hit up seek and i find typing the suburb name in the search field and leaving all other fields blank/on any seems to net the most jobs in the right area rather than the useless NORTH selection that gives you jobs on the southside...
  16. thanks guys ill look into it
  17. randomHero yeah its a wierd exhaust noise, kind of similar to the rev limiter noise if you have heard an XR6T or G6E turbo change gear at full noise it sounds quite similar glad to hear its normal:) next up will be the dump and front pipe and an intercooler can I just remove the vacume hoses from the boost solenoid and put a straight through connector on there or a boost tee wound all the way closed (havn't got a boost guage yet) so it gets the full 7psi all day long??
  18. just put a front pipe back exhaust on te skyline and being auto when its full throttle and changes gear it makes a weird noise like the FG xr6 turbos do is this normal??
  19. we got varrstoen 18x9.5 +30s with 235/45R18 tyres and they hit the front calipers without 5mm spacers, apparently +22 fit real good the tyres hit the inner guard when the suspension travels up (touches at the top but is fine everywhere else) so you will have to remove them also
  20. oops 30 litres for 500km
  21. well my wife got a set of 18x9.5+30 Varrstoen wheels matt black with purple wheel nuts for christmas from me for the skyline. she needed tyres so we figured may as well get new rims too will post a pic later now just need exhaust, cooler and lowering and will be complete enough for now.. last couple of days intermitently it has had a ticking noise come from the front left wheel, hopefully it isn't anything other than the wheel nuts needing a re torque(had yet to do it since fitting wheels earlier in the week) other than that my cressida needs inspecting to work out why it is pissing oil into the exhaust.. thinking its valve stem seals or rings as the turbo is all good just enjoying driving my new bubble shape ford festiva 5 door around with hail damage that i scored for $800 on ebay:) other than a couple minor things its in excellent shape perfect for the daily grind to work and back.. using only 30 litres per 100 km im stoked!!
  22. Alarm you can't go past Chris Rogers in this thread somewhere
  23. that was my wife Deb that was driving(its her car but shes never on here but she likes doing it up and driving it like its supposed to be so thats a plus haha) she sms me and said she spotted "that other silver 4 door from around here and we waved at eachother" got some new rims for it on the weekend as you saw. some varrstoen 18x9.5+30s next stop is lowering and exhaust and cooler.. all in good time you may spot my current daily as my cressida broke(pissin out oil into the exhaust and i dont think its turbo:S) its a white bubble shape ford festiva with hail damage on the front 1/2 of the car I also spotted HLUCN8 on the bruce highway through to nudgee, then spotted him in the arvo from near the shell to the south bound entry ( I was in my festiva that was next to you almost the entire time on the highway that was having a good look at your car my wifes sisters boyfriend now works for australian aerospace doing the pattern cutting of the carbon fibre, his name is Joel he said you used to work there??
  24. are ball joints DIY'able ?? where is best place to aquire them?? bursons/repco or ebay or other?? I am used to regular aussie cars(all my previous cars were ford fairlanes.. ZL(XF shape), NA (EA shape), AU.. where parts are easy as pie to get from the usual sources all this import part shenanigans is new to me haha
