  1. Heck yes Cat bolts are the bomb, I use that white never seize can't remember the name of it but you can only buy it buy the carton at some rediculous price. I borrowed a few tubs from groote island.
  2. And never seize is never not handy
  3. Yes there are many animals that dont live as long as we do. But maybe thats what we should be doing? I mean go back to egypt they only live till they were 30-40 on a good week. And Birds how did we adapt? Look around us everything has been changed to suit our needs and desires that is not adapting. adapting present participle of a·dapt (Verb) 1. Make (something) suitable for a new use or purpose; modify. We never changed, we changed the enviroment. 2. Become adjusted to new conditions. In which way, shape or form have we adapted to Earth or anything on it? We have invented things so that we can live there that isn't adapting to the condition that is create a subenviroment that suits the animal. I mean i can make a fish live in a desert by giving it a fish tank and a cooling system. But thats not the animal really adapting is it?
  4. Yeah it does it goes up to 4 bar at cold and stays there till the oil is hot then drops down to about 2 at idle then goes to 4 above about 2000rpm. They do have a tendency to play up a bit so ive heard. And i dont think its a tps its a strange issue to be tps related. Plus ive checked it with a multimeter and its ok. It's a fuel issue i think as it's only when its dead cold. As soon as it's started once its fine then it takes about 7 hrs to start it again.
  5. Nobody said we are a danger to the planet? We are a danger to everything that lives on it. We are having an effect on the climate in one way or another by all accounts, I mean we made a hole in the ozone? Pretty sure that counts as an effect we created. Human's are very much capable of damaging this planet so that life is non-existent as we know it. Imagine if we set off say 10 nuclear weapons? Massive change to the planet. Yes it has been through much worse then us. But most of it has taken hundreds of millions of years to fix or adjust to and i don't know about you but i don't think the human race is going to be able to live in underground huts for that long while the planet rebuilds. Its not being conceited as much as trying to sustain our way of life. If you don't think we are capable of changing this planet look at this picture and then think, each of those lights have to be powered, built, maintained then think about what those are lighting up. Those have to have all those things as well. Shit we are taking millions of litres out of the water cycle by building massive concrete structures everywere. Your being ignorant and so are most humans. At the end of the day we are the dumbest form of life in 1 simple way. We are the only creature which had to destroy its surrounds to live, Every other creature adapts.
  6. 62 degrees is cracking temperature. As cracking temp is lower full open temp is lower.
  7. Mt stuart run saturday?
  8. I really think oem thermostat is fine. I've never had any issues with mine flogging it in 40c heat with just the factory radiator. That being said mines pretty factory just fmic, exhaust, 12psi. I'd rather spend the money on a bigger radiator to be honest.
  9. Very much so. Pulled down a Deutz 2011 4 cyl engine today were they left it uncovered for a bit slapped a new head on it and started it, give you a hint crank+rust+main journal = $20,000 rebuild hahahaha
  10. basically the first thing i want to do is a body kit.. anyone have any ideas where i'd be able to get a decent one? School holidays?
  11. Very true. Companies save $1 on each car to screw their customers out of $800 down the line. And i would never take my car to a mechanic unless i knew his work was good. I do all my work my self.
  12. look up eurocca on google.
  13. lol How the hell do you design a headlight assembly that melts?
  14. Alright clamped the return line this morning and it definetly started quicker but it still was lumpy for a little bit but shorter duration. So quiet possibly fpr? i can also smell fuel in the engine bay lightly from time to time. I am thinking that this is to do with my removal of the catch can more then a leak as i have replaced some of the fuel line that looked dodgy already. And im also getting pretty normal fuel economy (450 to a tank city)
  15. hahah well their actually not to bad. The tyre fitters just used a short wheel socket instead of an alloy wheel nut socket which is much longer and grabs on the full length of the nut. And cheers
  16. Ah thats not to bad. Regrind and oversized bearings all good
  17. Took some more photos, Anyone know what front bar this is?
  18. Hahahah ouch. Any pics of the bearing shells, crank?
  19. 731 black pearl?
  20. God i hate new cars. My missus mother has an 09 calais. Caught fire with 80,000kms . This was just after she was telling me how i should have bought a new car not the skyline. Yeah.... New cars are awesome. Majority of people with new cars seem to hate them.
  21. Well not really, if it is cranking and your voltage stays above 11 it means your battery is pretty good and that your problem is ignition related. Which then means you are flooding the engine because the injectors are firing fuel but the coils/spark plugs arent igniting it and so each revolution it slowly saturates the air a little more till it fires. And i think the bov is only leaking at idle and once boost greater then the vacuum pressure from the engine the piston seats and the pressure ring excites sealing it. I think the bov is just crap its a go fast bits plumb back.
  22. Nope not as yet i have found moving the throttle off the idle position definetly makes it start quicker so i am thinking it is a battery/ fuel pump voltage issue. What do you think? Also i have noticed that the boost seems to come on hard from time to time. I know the bov is dodge as, i've had to strip it and relinish/lube it to stop it from seizing do you think this is the problem or could it be a fuel surge issue leading back to maybe a fpr?
  23. Any battery shop or mechanical shop should be able to do it for free/small charge mate. Also get them to check your charging voltage
