Search bud, It's been covered many times before. but just to keep you happy. No It won't plazmaman make one for rb20det but its benifits are superficial.
Ahhhh bugger. LOL i had this one and the Heat Shield one open and i replied to the wrong one hahaha. Yes Believe Matt. Im also looking at making some panelling for the side and bottom of the main feed from the front bar to try and help a bit more.
Hey guys got a torque wrench here just laying around as i upgraded to a snap on click type. This is a deflecting beam type. Rated to 220ft/lb. Pretty good i used it for 2 yrs as a diesel fitter and has been calibrated quite a few times and its always withing spec.
Chasing $40? I bought it for around $250.
Its in Townsville

Your coil pack is probably buggered, There could be alot of other reasons for the miss as well. And as MrStabby and i both said paint would not be able to stop the current if your coil was earthing threw the mounting frame.
I dont think its an issue. Research how a coil pack works. I don't really think 0.1mm of paint is going to insulate 5,000 volts. My coil packs have nearly no paint on them and its been fine for 30,000kms.
Motul 8100xcess here Smells funk but good stuff so far had it for around 1000kms and made a noticible difference in response. Probably mostly due to the old oil from the P/o
Exactly right Phil. Pretty sure its 0.9:1? and a 25 box is 0.88? i think.... Anyway if he wants to do it more the power to him but there isn't really much to gain for the dollers invested.
nope no stamping or anything and its been fitted with tek screws so i doubt its factory buts a near perfect fit really would like to get another one so i can run them to the brakes.
Resoldered the afm joints today.... Definetly reccomend it to everyone made a heap of difference. Also stripped the bov wet n dryed it and re lubed it. Helped with the fluttering. Gave it a service with some motul 8100 excess as the old oil was FILTH. New fuel filter and all new fuel hoses. Covered the cross pipe over the radiator with reflective heat tape from work. Don't notice a difference but cleans it up as the old one was tarnished.
hahaha well done phil. OP listen to everybody who has posted apart from cannibal. There is no point in a 6 speed swap apart for wank factor. If you are chasing higher speed vs rpm change your final drive ratio like the rest of the worlds car community does. 6 speed boxes should be left in the car they came from unless you have an open cheque book for a track car/top speed vehicle
You can fell the difference. Grab your filter with your hand before and after. And just like everything that you do to your car, you don't need it. But it does increase power . Colder air/ more dense= more oxygen/more bang for buck
resoldered the joins, one was definitly cracked so hopefully that solves my problem. Also stripped my gfb bov and gave it a wet and dry as it was fluttering gave it a relub and put it back on and it works much better still thinking of going a turbosmart stealth one.
