  1. ok pf1 hamilton and ,Kobayashi (hamilton) In the aftermath of the accident, Hamilton told BBC Sport "as far as I was concerned I was ahead of whoever it was I was racing and then I just got hit by them and that was my race over". Kobayashi, meanwhile, claimed the McLaren moved into him, saying "after he overtook me it was not my intention to get my position back, so I stayed on my line and didn't expect him to move over." Hamilton, though, has decided to change his account of the incident after watching the replays. Via his Twitter account, Hamilton said: "After watching the replay, I realize it was my fault today 100%. I didn't give Kobayashi enough room though I thought in (sic) was past. "Apologies to Kamui and to my team. The team deserves better from me. Best wishes, Lewis." (Kobayashi) "Regarding the accident with Lewis Hamilton, which happened when I was running in fourth, I knew perfectly well he was faster than me so had no reason to fight with him," he said. "After he overtook me it was not my intention to get my position back, so I stayed on my line and didn't expect him to move over." As for the rest of his Belgian GP, the Sauber driver says he was disappointed to have finished outside the points. "Of course I expected to score some points today. My start was good and I had a couple of nice fights. "On the straights I was actually slower than expected, but I don't know yet why this was. It was also hard to survive with the soft tyres and I was under pressure from Vitaly Petrov. "When I pitted on the second lap behind the Safety Car I lost an awful lot of positions. Anyway, the long stint on the medium tyres in the end worked well, but then I was too far away from the points. (Maldonado has somethink to say) "I think maybe we both made a mistake yesterday, and I am a bit disappointed that only I got a penalty and not him," the Williams driver told BBC Sport. "But anyway that's racing, we need to look forward. That's past. The only bad thing is that he did the same today, so I think he needs to be more focused on his race and not to do that movement." "For sure I think we should have slowed down after Turn 1," Maldonado added. "But in the end I think we lost our concentration you know and we were fighting. It was a bad thing. That's racing, that's Formula 1, we need to look forward. "I think Lewis is a really talented driver, a really good friend, so we need to be more focused and respect each other more." that last bit.

  4. pf1 Mercedes have launched an investigation into the cause of Michael Schumacher's accident. Team principal Ross Brawn said: "I'm disappointed for Michael because the conditions would have suited him perfectly. "We need to look at exactly what happened, but it would appear there was something amiss with the right-rear wheel attachment.

  8. schumi pf1 "Well, obviously I would have wished for a different end to today's qualifying, but it is difficult to drive on three wheels - even if I should have the experience to do so in Spa. "Seriously, this is certainly something that should not occur, but then this is also Formula One; we are working at the highest level but still things can happen. "At first, I wasn't sure what had happened, as I just felt myself lose the back end suddenly which is why I instantly apologised to the team. But then I saw the wheel off the car and understood the reason why I had lost control. "Trying to find the good in the bad, I'd probably say that I still have some fresh sets of tyres left, and that there is only one direction to go tomorrow: forward." do you like my newer shorter post whoring posts?
  9. Hamilton, Maldonado there sides of the story pf1 (Maldonado) Hamilton told his team it was "done deliberately", however, Maldonado insists that wasn't the case. "It was a difficult moment, there was no reason from my side to have contact and from the side of Lewis," he told the BBC. "It wasn't rainy conditions and we need to understand what happened. There was no need for contact after the chequered flag." Pressed as to whether his coming together with Hamilton was deliberate, he said: "No, no, I don't." (Hamilton) The Williams was just sitting there, it was very slow. I had to try and get past, which I did "He came around me, I didn't move anywhere, and he tried to swipe across me. I don't know if it was intentional. "The front wing was quite badly damaged, the sidepod and I think front suspension was damaged, front toe-in was a little bit out." He added: "Once the flag was out and the red light was on there is no need to be racing. There should never be an incident but unfortunately there was." (end result) the stewards believed Maldonado deserved more of the blame for the incident and have penalised him just five places on Sunday's grid. Hamilton, though, did not escape entirely as he was given a reprimand.

  17. i'm with mad Heidfeld's dun, you dont bite the hand that feeds you.
  18. Nick Heidfeld has come in for some sharp criticism from Renault team boss Eric Boullier who says the German's poor performance and lack of leadership cost him his seat. The 34-year-old veteran lost his Renault drive to Bruno Senna earlier this week, but he is refusing to go down without a fight. His legal representative and manager have confirmed that he is taking the team to court over his axing. The Renault team initially stayed tight-lipped after confirming Senna will partner Vitaly Petrov from this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix, but Boullier has finally broken his silence. The Frenchman claims the decision had nothing to do with money and says Heidfeld simply didn't perform well enough. "We reviewed our performance and level of motivation, a number of things over the summer, and we chose a new direction," Boullier said. "There was also an opportunity to assess Bruno as a driver, and this is why we have moved on. It is nothing to do with money. "Every session, every weekend, the media have jumped on me asking why Vitaly is faster than Nick. "I was not very happy with his speed and overall performance as an experienced driver. Nick is a nice guy, but leadership didn't work. "When you are slower than Vitaly most of the time, it's difficult for him to push the team and set up himself as team leader. "I admit the car is not good enough, we have not developed it well enough, so we have made mistakes as well. "When you have a negative spiral, it's complicated to stop it, so I had to change something within the team, something with the drivers to shake up and wake up everybody." Boullier also revealed Heidfeld refused to settle out of court, but Renault won on every count in the initial hearing. He added that there is still a possibility of the decision being overturned "The decision was for Bruno to replace Nick until the end of the season," he said. "But because there is now another hearing, after that anything is possible." this is going to turn in to a shit fight.

  21. Nick Heidfeld is taking Lotus Renault GP to the High Court after the team axed him in favour of Bruno Senna. The team confirmed earlier this week that Senna would replace Heidfeld at this weekend's Belgian GP with the nephew of the late Ayrton Senna also contesting the Italian race in two weeks' time. However, Heidfeld is adamant he has a valid contract and is now taking the team to court over his axing. His legal representative Dr Stefan Seitz said: "The interlocutory decision of the court does not infringe on the fact Nick has a valid contract to be one of the two main drivers of the team. "This position is disputed by the team for apparently purely financial reasons, but we do not intend to rest before Nick's legal position has been fully restored." Meanwhile, the German's manager Andre Theuerzeit is determined to see the 34-year-old return to a Renault race-seat from the Singapore GP onwards. "I am disappointed the team is allowed to let another driver take Nick's seat for the next weekends," said Theuerzeit. "However, I certainly am confident we will be able to enforce a fair solution for Nick in the further proceedings."
