  2. Wow! It's going to be an interesting weekend.
  3. Yep... Dan not doing so well here it seems.
  4. FIA President Jean Todt has suggested that the sport's governing body would be open to making Formula One engines louder and less fuel-efficient if that is what spectators want. Todt's comments were made during an interview with Italian national broadcaster Rai after a lot of criticism for the FIA's decision to move to V6 engines this year occurred following the season opener in Australia last week. "There should be calm before reaction," Todt told Rai. "The noise is obviously different now and if there is a problem with it we can look at a way to make it noisier. Todt added that he does believe that the amount of fuel-saving that is necessary to get to the end of races this year seems excessive. "I do not want F1 'economy runs', the permitted amount of fuel, 100kg, was proposed by the teams. For me it is not a problem if they want it to be 100kg," Todt added. However, the former Ferrari boss dismissed suggestions that the fuel-saving measures the teams used in Melbourne was responsible for few passing opportunities arising. "Instead it is the aerodynamics of the cars and the circuit in Melbourne, for example, has never been very good for overtaking," Todt maintained. "I am convinced that very soon we will see a lot of overtaking. So let's wait before making judgments." http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/9229671/FIA-open-to-changes-Todt good news?
  5. 100kg of fuel won't restrict the power like a air intake restrictor would, it would only restrict how much power they could use at anyone time.
  6. There's an easy solution to this problem. Air intake restrictors. /problemsolved.
  7. Wow dude you need to eat a cookie..
  8. Na ah!
  9. Na ah!
  10. No he didn't..
  11. Red bull saw a hole it the regs and thought they could exploit it. It was silly of them really to think the fia would back red bulls own readings and not the readings of the meter supplied but the fia. Open and shut case methinks. Sad thing is dan got screwed out of having his first podium at his home track.
  12. I'm still watching the aus gp coverage and I think it is much improved over last years coverage. I really like mel McLaughlin, I hope she comes back next year.
  13. Red bull have officially launched an appeal about Daniels fuel problems.
  14. I see what you are on about, I'm just rewatching the gp now and they tried to interview Sam and he wouldn't speak to them.. James Allen said that Ron has gagged the team and only Ron and Eric are allowed to talk to the media now? It's his home race ffs..
  15. Wow ok, I haven't read the article yet however Ron was always known to be a dictator and a bit of a flamin mongrel at times. So far I'm liking what I've seen from young Kevin.
  16. Interesting.. I needs me some of these methinks.
  17. Go the mini!!! I also loved the little alfa 1750 now that's a cool car. But not as cool as the mini.
  18. They'd still only use 12000rpm...
  19. Despite only recently extending their deal to host the Australian GP, the race's organisers are now crying breach of contract after F1's sound failed to impress. For the first time this past weekend, fans listened to the new-look Formula One and its quieter 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 engines. And although the on-track action was worth watching, that didn't stop some from taking to social media to voice their complaints about the sound. One person who is not happy is Australian GP chairman Ron Walker while Australian Grand Prix Corporation chief executive Andrew Westacott says it could even be deemed a breach of contract. "One aspect of it was just a little bit duller than it's ever been before and that's part of the mix and the chemistry that they're going to have to get right," Westacott told Fairfax Radioon Monday. "Ron spoke to (Ecclestone) after the race and said the fans don't like it in the venue. "We pay for a product, we've got contracts in place, we are looking at those very, very seriously because we reckon there has probably been some breaches." http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/9218290/Aus-organisers-claim-breach-of-contract
