  2. the brakes used to get cooling from this area (stock, but I don't have any of the wheel liners or ducting as it didn't fit with wide guards) but I have since blocked them off since adding the defuser with a lip that clips to the front bar. most race cars/time attack cars use this method of drawing air from under the car instead. you want as little air coming in from the front bar as possible i shouldn't even have the oil cooler ducted like this but hay i'm going to mitigate this problem by venting the guards and that's why these guards are also good as they remove air from out of the wheel well too. its quite interesting how Mazda ducted the oil coolers up and over the wheel and out the vent in the guard
  3. this is true, I could only imagine having 300kw and then putting a rollcage in and putting it into the wall. the G-Force difference is crazy!!! starting to get used to it now. the main thing is im developing the car and learning to drive it and i think there is so much to be had by learning the chassis once im happy ill start doing engine mods but even then im going to start slow from 190kw to 240 then 300 and 350. this car proves you dont need power to go fast and besides the more power you have the more likely you are going to break something. I used alupanel, you can get it from a signwriter. its a thin layer of alloy with a composite in the middle.
  4. whats wrong with my pidley little brakes they work great
  5. That's cos its factory tune no engine mod's yet HAHA besides its only 0.17 slower and I didn't want to break the front defuser I reckon there is another 2 seconds out of this stock setup (engine wise)
  6. also here is a clip from Monday's track day unfortunately the camera went flat and i didn't get and footage from after lunch. did however get my goal of dropping 3 seconds and managed a 1:05.20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uq_4zwNonQ0
  7. well haven't updated this in a while LOL things got a little serious and out of control HAHA ended up cutting the front up and tubing the front mounting defuser and installing V-Mount setup (rad and IC)
  8. sweet as! another rotor to play with
  9. Just Confirmed and Payed!!! #27 please
  10. Here are the results. Very happy managed to knock 5 seconds off my P.B
  11. Hey guys ill do a write up as I go as there seems to be no info on how to drop the motor etc........ my problem is I have broken the crossover pipe from the drivers side exhaust header that leads to the turbo. I will write up a DIY guide as I go and take some photo's etc.
  12. can we enter go-carts ?
  13. each lap within a second of their nominated time gets a point, from there i guess its a bit more technical as faster cars would do more laps as slower cars
  14. single pegga's FTW
  15. I'll be there probably spectating or helping out
  16. a mate took a few photo's for me, needs more stalker lens
  17. cheers, guys the goal is WTAC but it'll be a slow road to get there but in the mean time we'll keep learning and having fun!!! for now while we develop the car we will just be doing club type CAMS events. as stated we done our first proper Super Sprint on Saturday and came 45th out of 98. huge variety of cars from Road registered vehicles to clubmans/kitcars and replica's to IPRA, WTAC cars, Sports sedans, Open wheelers etc
