  1. it depends on what u want to do with it both the 2.5ltr turbo and the 3.5Ltr N/A are 206KW. the VQ25DET requires some mod's to keep it more reliable such as replacing the dump pipe off the turbo (it causes a huge build up of heat due to there being a cat in there) etc etc have a read and look into it. but then again if you choose the VQ35DE then there are turbo/supercharger kits for them also!!! whats your reason for buying it..... as a daily driver or to modify? or will it be a family car........... weigh up the options and search the forum there's alot of help/info if you look for it
  2. As the title says i think it would be a good idea to compile a list of what is a legal modification and what is not............ and i'll update the first post accordingly to keep it all easily excessable. BOV - Legal if plumbed back BOV - Illegal if vented to atmosphere Large Injecters - Illegal Piggyback ECU - Illegal cheers, for you help!
  3. thunderstorms in the arvo/evening everywhere right from sydney to newcastle hey Rosella, im probly gonna give it a miss this time and instead go the the Texi its closer to home considering the weather is going to be horrible but next time i'll be up for a cruise to newie
  4. turns out i was panacing for nothing NRMA will insure a modified vehicle, apparently they dont give a crap anymore and you dont even have to list the modifications
  5. is that on a VQ25DET with 4WD ? otherwise those figures are kinda pointless........... altho a HP figure on the crank would be useful
  6. " Also found a nipple in the intake tubes wasn't tight, so tightened that up" that made me LOL
  7. so whats the figures on these??? GTX3071.......... is that the stage 1 hiflow option? 270kw max? GTX3076.......... and this is the stage 2 hiflow ? 270kw+ ?
  8. has anyone else been told by shannon's that they wont insure them unless the car is parked in a garage??? surely there is another solution.............. atm its parked in a carport behind a locked colourbond fence and there's no room in the garage due to project cars being in there. who else might insure a modified import with my bad licence history, no accedents but! and yes im over 25 and there's no way im trying just car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! farken ripoff's they are pretty much double the price if not more!!!!!!!!!!
  9. just found this aftermarket bar................. thought someone might be interested. what front bar is this ???
  10. spotted a bluey/silver coloured M35 at 830am on Elizabeth Dr heading west just past the M7............. number plate BLL-XXX

  13. FARKEN WHAT!?!?!? thats the reason i bought a Stagea for all the plentifull and cheep RB goodies to bolt on damnit should've bought a skyline!!!
  14. yeah probly the same as ur's the GT30/71 core........... there's no point in maxing out a stage 1 when i might aswell go a stage 2 and detune it. 300kwaw is the goal or whatever <550hp at the crank is.......... dont feel like breaking everything LOL
  15. i think i'll be doing the turbo very shortly so i'll get it done then scotty
  16. after replacing all the vacuum hoses the cars driving like sh!t, i just wanna kick it in the c*nt LOL tryed putting on a turbosmart boost tee to see if it helped any, seems its worse than the stock system as it cant hold the boost very well......... does anyone know the correct sizes for all the vacuum lines? i measured the outlets that the hoses sit on at 4mm and 6mm but doesnt mean the hoses werent smaller and stretched over the fittings........... but possibly my turbo is on the way out anyways so that might be the reason why its running stuggier and wont hit the same PSI as before.......
  17. just a thought..... getting different sized rims isnt a good idea ie 8.5 and 9.5 wide, all tires should be the same size so the alteza 4WD system doesnt play up. cant remember what the tollerance was but i know it was like 5mm height difference or something.
  18. this is the same day as the SAUNSW texikhana event......................... just saying
