Think I was hitting about 220km/h down the straight and 160ish+ around turn 2 I was very happy with my consistency and compared to Alex's 180 I think I done quite well considering the spec's of the RX7. the best part was learning a new track and learning more about the car it'self

Well we had a mixed day out at SMSP yesterday but overall very happy and no major drama's. We went out in the first session and managed a 1:19.83 the front diffuser that came with the front bar almost got torn off as it was bending down from the force and melted on the ground and tor 3 mounting points. 2nd session managed to find a grove and wiped 3seconds off with a 1:16.24 (with 3 consistant 1:16's that round.) session #3: I got my PB of 1:15.53 with a back up of 1:15:76 the 4th session didn't go to plan and unfortunately i don't have the footage as the camera was playing up but my 2nd hot lap had a massive spin coming out of the kink and over the crest of turn 5 onto the back straight........ I've probably come in a bit to hot run off and caught the dirty line anyways didn't feel anything go to wrong except i started power sliding, thought I'll keep my foot slightly into it and that it would grip up but I eventually decided I was running out of track after about 4-5 seconds of drifting and got off it which spun me 180 looked over my shoulders to try and get my bearings then remembered i better hit the brakes LOL. next thing I know I'm in the grass facing the correct way, got my bearings and clutch started it again........... Luckily I somehow didn't collect the wall very thankfully about that!!! apparently it was quite spectacular although I don't think anyone got any footage of it. checked my undies all good there!!! but was white as a ghost, luckily we got red flagged as another car broke down on track and i got a breather and quickly checked the car then went back out there but of course my confidence took a little beating and dulled it down to about 90% here is the Video from the 2nd session...... more to come

Fuel usage between my old VT commodore is the same if not better for twice the fun. insurance is the same. there's no real problem with getting parts. and if you work on cars your self there's no problem with servicing etc. I looked at buying a Liberty wagon for $65k because i was a bit freaked out by buying an import i had a bad experience with a dodgey dealer 4 years prior with buying a C34 and i thought parts, insurance etc would be expensive etc but in the end why would i pay 40K extra and for what ??? ( I love the sound of a boxer motor) if you want safety go buy a Volvo and the question is would you buy, it didn't state if it was for your missus and or kids. I'm 30, single and have no kids, I just love that the Stagea it's so different to everything on the streets and you can't beat 4WD Turbo. I get told I have a soccer mum's car all the time and people ignore the car (car meets etc) or put it down and don't understand, makes no difference to me I love it. My mates all looked at me when i bought it as if i was and idiot but once they've been in it and seen it and got used to it's looks etc now they love it. I've just had a strange love for wagon's my first car was a 323 Panel van then i got a 808 wagon. only bought the VT to keep out of trouble, common and easy to get parts and cheap etc............ didn't make a difference what so ever other than I never modded it cos I didn't like it but it suited the purpose. I guess I'm lucky too as this is not my daily as I have a company car. everyone has a different reason or opinion this is mine

Only wagon I would consider changing to would be an Audi RS4 or RS6, IF I had the money..... For the value for money why would you pick anything other than a Stagea, so many option's and extra's.

Had my custom Radiator that I designed rock up today built my PWR. This will be a job for over summer installing a complete V-mount setup, new airbox, relocating oil catch can to passengers foot well and relocating and installing a power steering cooler.

getting slack on the updates LOL here are a couple pic's from the track day, also a photo of me gutting the interior some more and then getting all the measurements etc to get a radiator made so I can V-mount the rad and IC not sure if I'll get this done before the 18th of Oct but at least it keeps me entertained doing something LOL

yeah really good this time!!! maybe because of the little bit of extra power or the track surface is different to wakefield even when sliding they felt nice and predictable where as before they felt like i was driving on the line markers they use on the high way to keep you awake. wet grip was really good and no noise or rough edge when getting a bit loose. Yeah there were a few surprises, I was sitting in 10th on the 2nd timed run at 1:20.xx and I went in to check my new time for timed run 3, which turned out to be a 1:19.xx and I dropped all the way to 17th ROFL i was like oh shit got some catching up to do HAHA
