  1. had a biatch run into me whilst parking her car next to mine whiped out my rear bar luckily the quarter was alright just a slight kink that they could massage out with out painting. then had to fight her for the money got jack of it so went through insurance had to get the cops involved because she wouldn't give me her address so my insurance company could send her the bill HAHA so turned out more expensive cos it went through insurance rather than cash ROFL
  2. here are a couple of picture from over the weekend
  3. good work guys!!! was a great day considering the heat was terrible. yeah the courses seemed rather small and made it hard for you guys but I'm sure you'll rope them back in on the other rounds!!! come on Dave you were to busy doing donuts that's why you came 27th HAHA
  4. at this stage I'm keen but doing a track day on the 10th of Feb so hopefully I don't break it!!!
  5. Will see you there already booked in with the RX7
  6. with the oil coolers in place the pop ups don't fit anymore as you can see in the 2nd & 4th photo that the oil lines only just clear the headlights I've put in. I don't really like the look of them either but they suit the need and once rego runs out I will be using them as the air ducts for the air box. this car used to be white but it had a respray back in Japan, another reason why I was able to get it cheaper don't mind the yellow now but it wouldn't have been my first choice either. the yellow is actually a rare colour though!
  7. Well its been a long time since I done any updates but she's up and running again but still chasing down a oil leak I'm hoping its not a faulty second hand turbo!!! I've fitted and plumbed up the oil coolers and duct's removed the air con pump and fitted a smaller belt. had to fit new headlights to clear the oil coolers, relocated the battery to the passengers side back seat. and fitted a bunch of gauges as well!!! Didn't like the look of the RE Amemiya carbon gauge cluster so I painted it in a plastic textured paint instead. also replaced the turbo with a second hand one and fitted my 3" dump pipe.
  8. I've always been told you can't tow anything heavy with the M35 as its Alloy and has no chassis rail in the back very interested to see how the tow bar is fitted etc Have you got any photo's WE4PON ??? I would like to tow my RX7 with the Stagea if it's possible which by your account is!!!
  9. hopefully i can make it depending on work
  10. nope bought second hand one from JustJap
  11. pretty sure its not the brakes, starting to think its the wheel bearing
  12. Okay i have a strange metal on metal scrapping noise its been driving me mad for a few months coming from the front passengers side. firstly it does it mainly when coasting along as soon as you hit the throttle even a little bit it stops, and doesnt really make a difference if its loaded or unloaded. so far I've checked the brakes, even went as far as pulling them off to inspect them. (sounded like a stone could've been stuck in it but wasn't) BTW i checked this multipul times. then i bit the bullet and replaced the wheel bearing as its probably copped a hiding especially on the ripple strips at the track but the noise was still there. next i thought I'd get the disc machined just in case, no difference. still looking i thought the only other thing it could be would be the CV / drive shaft so i replaced that as well with no avail. got to thinking maybe the front diff was on the way out and transmitting the noise out onto the wheel so i drained the fluid and everything looked pretty typical no major metal fillings and the fluid looked pretty clean. so just incase its got anything to do with the gearbox I'm currently replacing the fluid in that as well ( doesn't go astray as its probably been 4 years since it was changed and i mainly drive in manual mode) now I'm out of idea's and its driving me mad!!! maybe the new wheel bearing was pressed in badly i dunno but it made the same sound minutes after it was changed from the old one....... please i need your help before i go nuts!!!
  13. got my cams licence today but with WTAC coming this weekend in not going to have the car ready but I'll still come down and say Hello
  14. what happened to the photo's from Matthew Everingham and the write up that Dave was supposedly going to do about the day ?
  15. if I get my oil coolers in on time ill enter but also have to renew my cams licence
  16. well today we got started on the oil cooler mounts and ducting. also removed all the A/C gear.
  17. well I had a metal to metal scraping noise coming from the passengers side front wheel checked the brake out a few times and didn't seem to be rubbing so I replaced the wheel bearing only to find the noise was still there afterwards......... hhmmm wonder if its a CV ???
  18. seeing as we weren't allowed to do cool downs down the road way I think SMSP should supply cooling fans to use at our leisure it's ok tho next time I'll have my upgraded oil coolers with thermo's on them so won't be a drama!!!
  19. nope not power steering, apparently it could be coming out the oil filler neck. (PCV)
  20. well I've got a few things to do after its shake down at SMSP. need to find this damn oil leak wasn't the sump, doesn't appear to be the turbo oil drain on the block so it's got to be a bit higher. also need to re-bleed the brakes the pedal dropped a fraction. on the drive home could hear a bit of a rattle in the arse end sounds like something needs tightening. need to find out why the speedo stopped working after the g'box reinstall also I had a bit of tyre rubbing but it wasn't on the outer lips of the rear guards so have to check that out too and whilst I'm dropping the oil as I'm sure its cactus even though it still looks clean and smells alright, im going to setup my twin oil coolers that I never had time to fit. hopefully I can make a setup looking something like this....... also going to remove the aircon condenser etc and see if it's worth making some better ducting for the air box. and another thing to do is enclose the surge tank I'm thinking more of a Perspex shield from the back of where the back seat used to be to the roof so it's still easy excess if there's a problem just by opening the rear hatch/boot.
  21. thanks for all the photo's crashdown they're awesome!!!
