That's the point I'm trying to make, I grew up in quite a strict but very well off household. Old man is an electrical engineer although has been climbing through management positions within a well known national company for the last 10 years or so.
So as you can imagine, he was around very little as I was growing up. Now that he is approaching 50, he's slowly realising that for all the financial gain he has achieved and physical assets he owns the events he has missed within his families life and the mates he's lost contact with comes no where near close to counterbalancing it in his mind.
And this is something he is finding very hard to come to terms with atm as its impossible to go back and make up all the times he missed...
