  1. sweet, throw some vids up if you get a chance. my mates got an na (vg30de) 300zx they do go really well. if only the were easier to work on lol
  2. what was the go with the "blowers are legal" comment, all forms of forced indction on none diesle cars are illegal for p platers as far as I'm aware.
  3. keen to see a vid of the cammed up sss, good luck for wednesday man, any changes to the z since you last ran?
  4. most mufflers are packed with fiberglass, i can imagine the varex one would be to different. Personally i have no experience with the varex kits, but I've herd cars with them and when the internal valve is closed i wasn't a fan of the sound, deffinatly quiter but. I would rather have an exhaust that has a nice note and volume all the time, rather than having something loud and raspy when open and muffeled to high hello when closed. I'm sure there'd be a thread on varex products on here somewhere.
  5. I've seen this vid aswell. As dragger said the cars not stock (big cams, cam gears, exhaust (assuming extractors ) just that stuff alone will set you back over 2000 for parts and fitting. plus the tune ontological your looking at around 3500 grand to get the 40ish killerwasp gain. for that kind of money you could almost buy and install a standard det which would make more power. also if your on your ps cams ect make the car illegal anyway lol. the dunk results could be true, but for the gains not overly worth it
  6. sorry dude i didn't realise it already had a catback. resonators actully help an exhaust more than people realise as they reduce resonance wich helps a lot with the horrible drown skylines seem to have at around 2000 rpm.
  7. and as a heads up a cheap supercheap cannon as a rear muffler are pointless, barely reduces noise, will alter the exhaust note to be more "raspy" which unless your a Honda lover is usually undesirable lol, and if you go to big ie anything bigger than a 4" tip people will laugh at you. just my opinion its your car man build it how u like, still keen to see a video of the cars exhaust
  8. hey man, as far as natro exhausts sound they are noticably different to the turbo equivalent (even if the base engine is the same) so i wouldn't worry to much if thatd what your comparing the sound to. as for the exhaust its been coverd many times just run a search. IMO get your local exhaust shop to bend you up a mandrel bent 2 1/2 inch system with a resonator and one or two mufflers (depending how loud/drowny you want it )
  9. I'm all for a bit of originality, get on it! pics would be a nice touch aswell
  10. the trap speeds were in the low 100mphs, around 103ish... the 33 would of been faster but he couldnt get it off the line (stockies, thin tires, hard coilovers)
  11. theres a red NA civic at willowbank right now, that just ran 14.3.... thats quick, theres a r33 with plates 33fst that is only doing 13.9s. civics are fast na cars lol
  12. heads up for coppa stations are always apreciated (thumbs up)
  13. look up the Cai thread i think wytsky (dont quote me on the name of the thread starter) created, cheap easy effective....
  14. yer an NA big block with a big lumpy cam is anything but retarted lol
  15. yes kid i agreed. but at least your the winner lol. (gota watch the "street race" talk on this thread, is highly frowned upon, as mentioned before I'm all for having a run at willowbank )
  16. need to get some more na guys on this thread lol... theres tons of them in toowoomba
  17. need to get some more na guys on this thread lol... theres tons of them in toowoomba
  18. yer drager that would be sick, my parents live in waga so the skyline may get to see nsw yet lol. unfortunatly im still on my green pull me over plates
  19. when i say later i mean pre vy and au models. i really want to hit up willowbank on a wednesday or saturday night but when i ask my mates/not so mates to bring down there p plate weapon to a legal and timed race all of a suden there not interested
  20. oh ok when i say chopped its usually a run from zip to 80 and I was about drivers side door level when i backed off. this was against a bf ute with a system under it. I've never had any trouble with later model commodores and falcons (in p plate trim of course) generally walk away from them when i hit second lol . (word of warning el & ef xr6s can sometimes be very suprising )
  21. hey man if ur located in qld hit up steve from wrapture styling did all the vinyl work on my car + top bloke lol
  22. while I'm here (and nothings going on at work lol)as much as i generally disagree with mark the magnas are ok for what they are the 3.5 manual will chop an na skyline. hell my mates auto 3.0 ran a 16.3 I've seen na supras run 16 flat before (black na auto with Rota grids, just incase anyone knows the car lol). something that hadnt been mentioned yet are the early 12a rx7s how are they in na form?
  23. have to say i agree about the late model falcons i have been chopped many times by late modle falcons and common whores in the traffic light gp lol. anything older than a vs in comonwhores is relativly slow in base model form and same deal for falcons (although they usually get the fully hectic p plate treatment anyway lol) hondas are the suprise package of the na world cjvics and integras are fast little cars despite all the vtec yo argument lol. as for ultimate na six cylinder, my money has to be on the te and tf cortinas with 250 crossflows in them, carby inlet extractors sees easy 14's
