    Well i gave the owner all the details that i found with the help of you guys and offered 8k, as im uneasy about buying a car that i know has a shady history. He was shocked to find out the history of the car, i think he is going to take his add down and keep it.

    Yeah its private sale, it has rego, it was imported in 99 by the current owners cousin he has had it since 06 or something like that, has had rego the whole time, its registered in VIC.

    I think you are right about the new vin going over the original vin, it is above the engine.

    I am not sure what to do here..... do i go in tell him its rebirtherd offer 5k, or just buy it as is knowing it is. Car was imported back in 99 and has not had any issues with rego since it was here, i suppose its a moral choice. Is there any way i can confirm if it was stolen or what not, has the engine number and everything on it can that be tracked at all?

    Build plates and compliance plates. the car is 100% factory LP2 , recommendations about this if it is coming up wrong? stay clear or are they still safe?

    That was the VIN off the Blue Build plate the fire wall is 6T91mpaaatxgat001 and thats the same as whats on the compliance plate. I have asked the owner to take another look around to see if he can see anything else.

    I got it all off last night, wet the tape let it soak in and it came off under my nail, was kinda like a stickier version of blutac, after i got it off put a few drops of Orange power on a wet cloth so it was diluted and then went over the surface the tape was on.

    I just got a product that was recommended to my by a friend called Orange power sticky spot and goo dissolver, will give this a go on the weekend, ill test it on the old lights 1st as thats a great idea, ill let u guys know if it works if not im going to have a look for the 3m remover cheers guys.

    Hi Guys I bought a set of Lights for my GTT as my current ones are farked, they came with eye lids on them that i have removed using some fishing line and a bit of heat from a hair dryer. Now i am left with some double sided tape on the lights. What would the ppl in the know recommend i use to remove said tape without damaging my nice new shiny HID Xenon R34 lights.
